I feel like I need to say this since it wasn't apparent from the TV feed. @@neilopfer5687Right! Fantastic race!! Traffic probably won't be as bad next year...... Some people have said best race all year, I would say maybe a decade😅
This "comedy" review was as hot as the pirelli's behind the safety car. I had little to no exitement or expectations for the Las Vegas GP, but i was happily surprised by it and it enjoyed it greatly. So you can imagine my disapointment the review didnt live up to it. I cant wait for the next review tho, as we will be playing a drinking game where we drink every time Will says "21" or will refer back to AD21, it will be smashing.
Verstappen dropped from 4.5s ahead of check to 1.9 in an attempt to slipstream him but ofcourse you ignored that because that doesn’t fit your rather blatant agenda.
I was in the stands for P3 and qualifying at turn 2. We only missed the last three minutes of P3. Otherwise it was awesome. Race day people pull down the shroud on the main straight, so we got to see the race for free and again it was awesome so I had a good time. Expensive, but a good Time.
I’m glad F1 came to Las Vegas. It was an amazing race and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The build up was a chaotic mess, but this was first year teething issues. Hopefully it goes smoother next year.
Ya know what this was the first race where I was like “okay what the fuck is this” I like in the eastern time zone of the United States normally a well catered for demographic when it comes to f1 and being able to see it. This was shit mid night starts local, making it 1-2 in the morning here, I didn’t watch jack tbh I woke up and watches the half of the race today and it was mid. This sports becoming more “we went car racing Toto” and less equally playing field. Max should have had about 20-30 seconds worth of penalties and that’s coming from a max fan, the fia should have a “oh shit clause” for cases like what happened in fp1, that can absolutely effect a championship result in a multi million dollar prize pool especially at the end of the season! This track has nice parts then shit parts. They almost make the track so you can’t overtake at some corners because they want to make the coroner harder to get around. This track reminding me of the new Detroit Indy car track ran this past summer and that’s not a good thing at all… at fuckin all. I miss the good tracks. It’s like f1 is trying to be the wec beating street course dominating cars when you can only really do one well. Either make the cars circuit monsters like wec where they need a big track to stretch its legs or make them smaller like old formula 1 cars and also like modern formula e cars 🤮
As a local Las Vegas resident. 1. Well done. The show was good for F1 and good for Vegas 2. You have to do better for locals. We endured months of the worst traffic and loss of time and disruptions for residents. There should at very least be a locals rate for tickets, especially when much was not sold out! 3. Track set up and year down must happen faster. 4. Car park rates were a complete joke. For football games $30 is common. Race day they wanted $100!
Surprised not to see toto's pandering to liberty and dismissing of the destruction of a ferrari to Fred, who by the way, earned a lot of people's respect in his TP interview
As the first Vegas race and wanting more people to join having just signed a 10 year deal. Going about covering all public viewing angles with film isnt going to make people want to be like "This looks awesome and seems like money worth spending, lets make a plan to go next year"
The fact that F1 had HUNDREDS of options for US purpose built tracks and keeps hamfisting these street tracks in cities based upon grids of roads.... Just go to Mid Ohio or Laguna Seca
It's hilarious to see verstappen do stunts that would net literally any other driver anywhere from a five or ten second penalty to a stop-and-go to a DQ and just walk away with a slap on the wrist.
Pretty fun race, I was happy at the end. Definitely better than a lot of other races, that's for sure. For the next years maybe some details can be smoothed out.
messed up my sleeping pattern but was glad i actually woke up for this race was actually a good race to watch, shame about norris though looked like the mclaren had pace with the way piastri was coming through the field
The only mess was FP1. Qualifying and the race were good . This is what Monaco should have looked like as a street race, not a snooze fest except for the rain.
they had to wait for kimi to leave or else he would have said "what the fuck is going on? Who is this old man yelling my name? why can't my fans see me? Just leave me alone i don't know what to do."
I thought it was good. There were some moments where i thought we might see more wheel to wheel then just a one and done overtake but it was still more exciting than a lot of the season. I feel like this season just doesn't have the race long fights or strong defending that previous seasons had.
Everything always goes wrong before a new race (there are actual documentaries on this). The big question is does all the bad stuff stop when the reds go out. Since I don't care what you think anymore than you care what I think, to me Vegas was one of the best races of the season and the track is wicked good. I predict they do better at prep next year, and that Vegas gets a massive international attendance.
I think it was a good race, but that is likely due to the fact that its a the first time around the track. Once t he race settled in, there was very little action and I think that is an indication of what may come in the future once the teams and Pirelli can adjust to the track.
Seriously Will, I can't tell whether you actually despise Nyan Flag and really wish you didn't have to use it, or if you're just playing a part for humorous effect. Either way, it's still funny when you bring it out, especially when you use your disgust(?) for the meme to set it up.
I really enjoyed the race. Only bad thing I have to say about the race itself is that overtakes, that weren't done with DRS, only happened at a single corner.
Aight. I’m no max shill but the “with absolutely no help from his teammate whatsoever” is just kinda bullshit. Gp asked him to drop the gap to 2.5 from 4.5 seconds to give him a tow, and he did that in one turn at the beginning of lap 50 The only thing extra he could have done would be to drop back 3 and a half full seconds to try and give checo drs, but then he’s putting himself deep in the danger zone if it doesn’t work out
They need to move this race either earlier in the day or earlier the season. This slippery tire when it’s not raining shit at turn 1 isn’t that fun to me. I’d rather see the drivers at their best. Sure, it made a better theoretical fight because artificially handicapping Max to delay his inevitable win made it seem like a better battle for first, but I want to see drivers at their best.
Enjoyed the race. For next time they need to work on the schedule. F1 dropped the ball with regard to the initial track inspection. It's not as though Las Vegas invented the street cover specifically for this weekend.
Vegas is 3-4 hours behind HALF of the US bc of time zones, but they still chose to run it at 10pm (1AM on east coast). Only F1 could host a US race and still make the fans stay up like they're watching an EU race to see it live
The CEO of the Vegas race specifically said the race time was a compromise for Euro fans. What you’re whining about “like they’re watching an EU race” is actually the reason they did it
Bro we literally have Miami and COTA at regular times here in the US. You aren’t a fan, you just like to complain. You don’t hear reach fans bitching about waking up early to watch the European leg of the season.

Given how much overtaking Piastri was able to do, I want more cold races.
It wasn't a 10-second penalty, it was a 10-Placement Grid Penalty. They threw Sainz halfway to the back even though he got 2nd fastest in Q3!
I hate to give Vegas any credit, but Monaco had a problem with manhole covers as well a few years back.
Barrichello in 2009, exactly the same thing.
Definitely a better race than I was hoping for, but not the "greatest of the year" as I have been hearing on all fucking interviews from F1...
Are we surprised it’s being touted as that?
Spa 2021 has entered the chat.
It's a wonder they find the time to do anything else, such is their prediliction for self-fellation.
The best race of all-time 😂
One of the most entertaining races of the season. Verstappen is a crap teammate, best driver, but crap teammate.
Verstappen dropped from 4.5s ahead of check to 1.9 in an attempt to slipstream him but ofcourse you ignored that because that doesn’t fit your rather blatant agenda.
Abu Dhabi 2021 has been mentioned a lot. Did something happen then?
Well now you mention it…
I was in the stands for P3 and qualifying at turn 2.
I thought you were gonna mention how leclerc went to outer space and Perez still threw. Also verstappen tried his best to help for a 1-2 finish.
Perez did well from P11
As a local Las Vegas resident.
1. Well done. The show was good for F1 and good for Vegas
Going about covering all public viewing angles with film isnt going to make people want to be like "This looks awesome and seems like money worth spending, lets make a plan to go next year"
Vegas exceeded my expectations. By far. Especially with how the weekend started. One of the more entertaining races of the season for sure.
Alonso did a 180 spin taking the same line Max did. I think it's a safe bet to say that that piece of tarmac was pretty slippery.
The fact that F1 had HUNDREDS of options for US purpose built tracks and keeps hamfisting these street tracks in cities based upon grids of roads.... Just go to Mid Ohio or Laguna Seca
for the EU homies, pretty much every US city outside of the east coast is built in equal square blocks of road... this does not work well with racing.
Watkins Glenn, Sears Point, etc.
I look forward to this more than the race itself.
What a hilarious review! Keep up the great work Will!
Thanks a ton!
messed up my sleeping pattern but was glad i actually woke up for this race was actually a good race to watch, shame about norris though looked like the mclaren had pace with the way piastri was coming through the field
Just ran into your channel trying to see how the f1 vegas event went. Fkn hilarious
The only mess was FP1. Qualifying and the race were good . This is what Monaco should have looked like as a street race, not a snooze fest except for the rain.
no mention of max savege radio message when he was told about the 5 second penalty 😂
I thought it was a very entertaining race. There were even multiple passes for the lead! It was competitive throughout the grid.
Was that Final Fantasy background music at 9:35? - Love it!!
The Checo intro was so hilariously cringe.... He was like...what am I to do with all this energy?!
Watching a race in the early evening on a Sunday was a pleasant change for us Antipodean heathens.
they had to wait for kimi to leave or else he would have said "what the fuck is going on? Who is this old man yelling my name? why can't my fans see me? Just leave me alone i don't know what to do."
getting the ufc commentator guy to do the introductions was the funniest shit ive seen
Bruce buffer is such a legendary fight announcer. They done him dirty
Great race. Unlucky for Sainz in FP1 and FIA penalty was a joke
If youre gonna have 3 races in USA... keep COTA and Vegas... and go back to INDY
Thank you so much!! And fully agree!
I think it was a good race, but that is likely due to the fact that its a the first time around the track. Once t he race settled in, there was very little action and I think that is an indication of what may come in the future once the teams and Pirelli can adjust to the track.
I mean I saw a lot of action nearly the entire race, from Piastri and Alonso fighting, George clawing away with Sainz, and the three front runners.
3:10 (grid places , not seconds)
Seriously Will, I can't tell whether you actually despise Nyan Flag and really wish you didn't have to use it, or if you're just playing a part for humorous effect.
Either way, it's still funny when you bring it out, especially when you use your disgust(?) for the meme to set it up.
I really enjoyed the race. Only bad thing I have to say about the race itself is that overtakes, that weren't done with DRS, only happened at a single corner.
I'd have to disagree, there were overtakes at T1, T3, T6, and T12.
Aight. I’m no max shill but the “with absolutely no help from his teammate whatsoever” is just kinda bullshit. Gp asked him to drop the gap to 2.5 from 4.5 seconds to give him a tow, and he did that in one turn at the beginning of lap 50
The only thing extra he could have done would be to drop back 3 and a half full seconds to try and give checo drs, but then he’s putting himself deep in the danger zone if it doesn’t work out
Watching the race with 0 expectations it actually gave us 10x more action than you average Monaco GP. So no complaints here.
Awesome vid mate keep up the good work!🎉
Thanks! Will do!
Otherwise we have to get up too early
The CEO of the Vegas race specifically said the race time was a compromise for Euro fans. What you’re whining about “like they’re watching an EU race” is actually the reason they did it
F1 once again showing that they are a European sport masquerading as a world sport
@@aethyr6776 And how is that logical if you wanna attract more US fans?
Bro we literally have Miami and COTA at regular times here in the US. You aren’t a fan, you just like to complain. You don’t hear reach fans bitching about waking up early to watch the European leg of the season.
