@@KeystoneCarry A guy had one in his mouth working on a vehicle and it killed him. As a person that holds my little streamlight in my mouth a lot that's a scary though.
I picked up a Gen2 ACE in 5.45 about a year or so ago. I already had an SAR-2 in that caliber and scooped up several cases of the Russian 7N6 ammo before it dried up. I had wanted a pistol/Krink style AK in this caliber and when I ran across the Gen 2, I grabbed it as nothing else was available at the time. As you indicated, it's built like a tank and super reliable right out of the box with the exception of when suppressed. Apparently that problem was not corrected by the factory between the Gen1 and Gen2 versions. They also kept the horrendous hinge mechanism and mine did not come with iron sights. The handguard is now extruded aluminum with M-Lok slots. As expected, it can get hot so I had to install rail cover sections at strategic locations but it's best shot with a glove on the support hand. There is what appears to be a circular mounting hole for a QD swivel at the end of the forearm on both sides however no swivel I had at the house would lock into it so I ended up running a cable adapter through the hole and it works fine. I have loved the 5.45x39 since I got my SAR-2. The round is still fairly easy to find although the price is up close to or at the price of 5.56 and magazines are readily available. I've used metal and polymer magazines from various manufacturers and countries and have yet to have a failure to feed. The round is controllable, especially out of such a beefy platform and recoil is all but non-existent. I went with a Meprolight M21 to stick with the whole Israeli thing plus I like not having to worry about batteries. Thanks for doing the video on this. The platform and the round don't get a lot of love for some reason.
Fun fact on the standard IWI folding mechanism: IWI actually teaches to push the pistol grip down into your upper thigh/hip in order to get the appropriate leverage. I saw their video on it once, and I've never had a problem actuating the folding mechanism. That said, I'm looking right now at getting a replacement brace simply because I don't care too much for the one that comes with it.
The NATO mag has no facilities for a last round bolt hold open. Mags in Soviet calibers often has last round hold open followers...so no need for bolt hold open in the firearm itself
Different concept. Run an AR dry and drop it in the mud it's screwed because the dust cover and bolt are open. Do the same on an AK with no worries. LRBHO is overrated on rifles IMO despite being preferable on a pistol.
With the LRBHO it can save you crucial time in a life or death situation saving you from having to rack your weapon and rechamber a round. Just drop the bolt and keep firing. Also help big time for me in range speed runs.
Hey if you're having issue with the brace moving wrap the buffer tube in a few layers of electrical tape before putting the brace back on which will limit its movement left and right.
I recently picked up a gen 2 model from dissident arms in Conroe texas. Came with plastic delete lower, Mlok rail, dead air suppressor adapter, upgraded trigger and I cannot remember what else. Was a bit expensive after all the upgrades but, super cool little rig for sure.
Good review brother nice blaster waiting on my 762 ace to come in, would’ve like to see what the certificate of authenticity looked like. Good point I bought a galil due to being a different and more available caliber.
I run a crossfire on my M+M M10X and it’s been pretty solid so far. My next rifle is going to be an Ace. Had a chance about a year ago to get a .308 but I passed and wish I didn’t.
Can we buy the Galil Ace part by part? Like only to buy main parts excluding stock rail & brace? And how will I be able to assemble like Galil Ace that you have in much lesser price?
I've been considering picking up another caliber gun that is more plentiful but I've been loading up on other gear that I need more. Armor and reliability parts for my AR-15.
Yeah having a quality rifle and pistol, ammo, a solid set of fundamental skills and basic gear is far more important than simply acquiring more guns. Good call man.
I’m sure this round is great and all. But I’m not gonna hoard or commit to a caliber that almost no one I’ll be killing has in Minecraft. Based Berks Countian
Not a Olight fanboy, but I love the lights I've bought from them. Also appreciate their very good customer service.
The O light comment was really just click bait. I don't actually judge anyone rocking them if they like them lol
Thanks for watching!!
I don't think I would want a light that could explode.
@@traviscurtis439 I’ve heard of this but I have only used stream lights and surefires. I did just buy a REIN today so I hope to review that soon

I got #78 of the 545 pistol. No regrets at all.

just here to support fellow Lancaster County boys, keep it up bro
Man I've been wanting one of these Galil Ace's sooo bad for a minute now! Especially in 5.45×39!!!
I want ANY galil ! I love 5.45 but I'm afraid the USA is about to get an import ban
5.56 Ace is unique, it has a true last round bolt hold open. Almost unheard of on the AK platform.

I just scooped the RNL Gen 1 in 5.56 Im stoked to get it and run it

Great video man!
The "loop" under the front sight is for sling too, you know...

Where can you still get cases of ammo
5.45x39?
Awesome review but a bit like watching a old karate movie the audio isn't matching up to you talking and I got a say I like it lol

why is there so much blistering on the finish for the bcg? Never saw that happen on any of my aces.
Where did you get the iron sight
Is that a adapter at the end of the barrel or some sort of timer? Can I remove it?

What size is the 5.45x39 brake?
Cost$?
So. 545 of them. Limited run You get one for free. Crazy world.
OK so .. how can we get one
You can’t unless you have $4000 and a gun brother account. Yes that’s what they are being bid up to right now.
One of these rifles is available on gunbroker at the moment.
Do you mind putting the price here? I'm curious what it's going for.
@@KeystoneCarry They are listed from $2,600 (current bid) up to $4k

How many rounds have you put through the 5.45? How many rounds have you put through the 7.62x39?
I have around 4,000 rounds through the 545, many more through the 762. Both run awesome
Freedom isnt FREE
I'd like to just have a 5.45 sbr AK
Hard to find
TGC sent me
Thanks for coming by to hang out!!
I dont care how authentic you are. IWI should never send you this gun for free, and I dont care for your 'review' of a free product. Sorry
I’ve personally bought nearly a dozen IWI firearms. Guess that doesn’t count for anything.
