Thanks- I have experience working with computers/wiring. My degree was in computer engineering, and I spent a few years on my school's Formula SAE team, which was very similar stuff. Now I am in software, after a short time in electrical engineering.

Hey @rainvillecreative5410 I've just gone through this arduous task of thinning the chassis harness and have deleted the GM5 module as well as the ABS/DSC module.
Im currently stuck and have a question about the starter solenoid poles. Can you tell me which pole was supposed to goto ground? In your video it seemed like it was the black and yellow wire, which i assume is the signal start from the cluster and the other wire was from the EWS?
    Thanks!

It's been a while, I'm afraid I can't remember. I don't have access to the car right now to check. I seem to recall the EWS module providing ground to allow the car to start though. And the other wire would be the relay trigger.

Hey mate, I’m doing a motor swap on my e46 and I having the same issues as you, the car will not spark can you remember what you did to fix it?

I don't remember exactly but I think it was the immobilizer. I did the EWS delete but also since I changed so much of the wiring I think I had to ground an immobilizer wire going to the starter or something.

For the Immobilizer delete which flasher and forum did you use? i’m currently stuck with my car with a no crank no start, and ive had many tell me its my immobilizer shutting down the system.

I think MS4X flasher? I don't remember the forum. There is a wire going to the relay on the starter that the immobilizer uses to allow the car to crank, I believe by grounding it out. This needs to be bypassed. Once this is done, the car will crank whether the immobilizer likes it or not. Then all the immobilizer will do is prevent spark. I go over this briefly at 5:45.

So I wouldn't really recommend doing this, it's a huge pain. I also don't have space to take on anything else unfortunately. Just disconnect the audio harness, I think it comes out easily.
