Ashame Botcon 2017 didn't happen, we would've gotten an Action Master Optimus Prime repaint of the Voyager Titans Return Optimus Prime.

If Action Masters were remade today then they might be highly articulated and the transformations for any of the partners, vehicles and such have more involved transformation, perhaps.

It would be nice to see official remakes, the third party ones are a tad too expensive.
Not very likely though, we've had one Headmaster recently and a couple of Targetmasters but that's about all. Wouldn't mind some more if they're made well.

Action Masters are not being made...calling them R.E.D.
I had one when I was a kid. Had Jackpot and Sights back then. The leg ball joints when new, is actually tight but overtime they can be lose like the one you have on your vid. Knees bend as well as far as I can remember. I also owned a Snarl and Tyrannitron as well. I lost both figures when we moved to a different city which sucked. Good thing they made a remake now for Jackpot and Sights. I just hope they make one as well for Snarl with Tyrannitron soon.

I must admit that I never minded Action Masters. I felt that the vehicles and gadgets made up for the figures not transforming. Plus, I feel the detail and articulation in the figures is pretty nice.

imagine if they'd revisited in Titans Return, except the cab also transformed into Optimus Prime and the trailer worked with all the small titan master figures instead?

That looks like a fun toy overall. I guess the main problem is that they made Transformer figures that can't transform and made old characters not transform in the process. Its worse when they made characters like Devastator into the size of the rest of the guys.
Maybe they should have made most of the figures in this sub-set new characters and had a story like "they made smaller non transforming characters to save on energon, but they have transforming battle vehicles on the plus side" and had a few old characters in it to attract some more kids, kinda like what they did in the Pretenders line.

Since this video was uploaded a while ago, you may already know, but these figures have the same o ring rubber system like old G. I. Joes, so the hips can be fixed by changing the loose, or torn ones.

He really needs some drops glue or floor varnish to make his legs LESS floppy.

Great review. Just a heads up, the wheels on the 'walls' turn and become stabilizers.
Transformers are big so in the world of the transformers the truck must be massive!

To be clear...
The action Masters, which sacrificed Transformation in favor of articulation and accuracy...
Made an Optimus LESS articulated than the original!
Original had elbow, wrist, foot, leg, and knee articulation and on certain ones, you could loosen the screw holding his head in for head rotation.

Thats awesome that you still have it. I used to have this and the Powermaster OP when I was a kid back in 1991, too bad I;ve lost both of them around early 2000s. I actually had forgot about these figures until I started to collect TF toys in 2014 and saw someone post the pics on forum. I wish I could still find it somewhere at my parents house :\

BNSF1995 It was the early 90's, they were trying something new and targeting a newer, younger crowd. At least the vehicles transformed so there's still a lot of fun to be had with this! Thanks for watching!
Well, it's a non.transformable action figure OF a CHARACTER from the anime Transformers!
The more I think about it, i believe action matters was just a last minute addition to the franchise until Hasbro could "rebrand" the line into Generation 2.

it's hideous why didn't you just come out as a trailer for the normal Optimus Prime smaller figures can be Manning the weapons and Whatnot.
the color scheme and the pipes on the side make it look like it was meant for hot rod.
