    How do you redeem your points for value? Have any awesome redemptions you've done in the past? Let us know below!

      great video man! Just a question, you said Aeroplan doesnt charge fuel fees but when i book it on the app with points the total comes out to like 50,000 pts plus $900 of transportation charges or some high amount of points. For example, singapore to maldives is 88k points one way for business (booked on singapore airlines app), but on Aeroplan its 70k pts with $1,500 of surchages / or 120k pts w $120 of fees. How do you book without extra charges?

    • @KevinYang
      @KevinYang  6 месяцев назад +2

      @@OliKayTravels I would guess that's because that award redemption isn't actually that high value on Aeroplan. For example, there are many spots with 100k+ points, but most of those are not sweet spots or "saver"

    Very informative. I've never really considered buying airline miles but you've shown that it can be a good move based on the cpp calculations. Also, premium economy costing less miles than economy is absolutely wild!

    • @KevinYang
      @KevinYang  6 месяцев назад

      I was definitely surprised when I saw that too, but not complaining! And definitely, if everything lines up, purchasing miles can be really lucrative. Thanks for watching!

    Love Aeroplan! Used them for my first Biz Class redemption to Central America for my trip next week. Didn't get insane value but got over 4 cents/point, so super happy with that! Love the specific examples in this video Kevin, seems like there can be some steals in Premium Economy with Aeroplan in certain cases. Great video as always!

      4¢/point is still an awesome value, and that first Biz redemption is always one to remember! Enjoy your trip Matt, and hopefully no snow around the time you fly haha

    last year i booked a economy flight from Boston > Japan(9day stopover) > Thailand for 55k aeroplan pts
    and on the leg back, i booked Thailand > Korean(5day stopover) > Boston for 55k pts
    i had 2 50k aeroplan certificate so i ended up spending only 10k pts for round trip with stops :] id say thats the best redemption of my life

    Aeroplan has crazy redemptions for the United Island Hopper flights from Honolulu. It’s like 70000 points for a 2500 dollar round trip flight 😭

    Aero plan adds a lot of charges/fee when you book through points.

    • @KevinYang
      @KevinYang  6 месяцев назад +2

      Not in many cases I've seen! For example, booking these flights was around $30 in fees, and when I booked int'l Business flights last year, they were around $50 each

      @@KevinYang I don't blame you. I was attempting to build a Chase Trifecta (I currently have Chase Unlimited), but then I applied for a Venture X card and got approved. Additionally, my wife was approved for CSP. So, I thought, "Man, I might have messed up," and I was under the impression that each individual has to apply for their own credit card to achieve this. I was looking into whether two-player mode is possible for a married couple. I hope that makes sense. I wonder if Capital One Duo + Chase Trifecta is possible for a married couple using the Authorized Users method. Please let me know what would be your suggestion

      @@KevinYang We have both successfully passed the credit-building period. Both of us would love to travel overseas more effectively and efficiently in the future with credit cards benefits, visiting some of the countries you mentioned in your videos. We have an upcoming trip to China and Japan this year. This is one of the reasons why I promptly signed up for Venture X, and she opted for Chase Sapphire Preferred. We've also added each other as authorized users. Currently, I have Chase Freedom Unlimited, Venture X, and BOA Cash Rewards, while she has CSP in her name. However, I find myself a bit unsure about the next steps in our credit card journey. Any guidance would be appreciated!

    So can you fly other airlines with airoplane?

    • @KevinYang
      @KevinYang  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes! You can book Aeroplan partners, which are mostly other airlines in the Star Alliance network

  • @TheAndyzilla

    Aeroplan is very bad. Idk why everyone hypes it up. ANA flights? Dont exist there, asiana flights? They givr you the joke of only the connecting flight be on business but the 10 hr+ one be on economy. Cant book singapore first (but i think thats an overall thing). Is it very generic? Sure. Is it good? Hell no
