    Yeah after scrolling on my 15 pro max then scrolling on my old 14 plus yes it is very noticeable the 14 plus felt so choppy and laggy and the 15pro max is just so much smoother when you use a 120hz display you would never wanna go back to 60 hz

    Coming from an android with 120hz, i always turn the feature off and stick with 60hz because it drains my battery quickly. Nice feature to have in another few years with optimized battery for 120hz

    I use an iPhone 13 Pro Max (120Hz) and an iPad mini (60Hz) and I never see any difference between the two, the only way one would prob see the difference is if you’re really looking for it, but since I am not looking for it it’s all a smooth working experience between the 2 devices.

      exactly, 99% of the users do not have a clue what they are saying if it comes to refresh rates, like absolutely clueless, yet spitting opinions that are not even relevant. They do not know what the refresh rate really means at all and can not tell the difference if they are presented with 2 devices with different refresh rates. YES it is pointless to have 120 hz on a phone, unless you play fortnite on it. It is way more benefetial to have a steady 60fps than a top 120 fps that is all over the place

      This is true but that's the main point, why would you pay extra for that when every flagship phone is already offering a 120Hz at the same or a cheaper price, even budget and mid-range Android phones already have this privilege.     honestly, disabling animations (or lowering the speed) on developer options is fast enough, even with 60hz, but if a phone lasts longer than six hours sot with 120 Hz then it's totally fine to use

      Excellent question! I’m sure at one point the eye just can’t notice the further increase in Hz. Maybe that explains why some people don’t see the difference between 60 and 120, their eye are just not as good as those who do see the difference

      Its just the animation and smooth scrolling feel.
      120hz is still significantly different than 60hz. If you own a monitor, try using 120hz screen for a month and switch back to 60

    Phones are not supposed to use high refresh rates because it draws way too much power for current battery ability. You'd need twice as much battery potential.

      Yeah, but I think batteries these days are designed with the higher refresh rate in mind, though. A lot of the time a charger is available to people throughout the day as well, even at work at your desk if that's the kind of job you have, so I imagine maintaining battery isn't a big deal. Even so, I've got a 4500mAH battery and 120hz, and it gets the job done.

      I switched to a 120 hz display, and I've never felt a phone feel this smooth. It's like the jump back in thed day when phones went up in pixel density. Going back to my old phone, I didn't realize how choppy it is.

    I can notice the difference when I put on low power mode on the iPhone 15 Pro it drops from 120 Hz to 75 Hz

    Ive used 144hz and above on my PC since 2015 and let me tell you, nobody buys it for the scrolling in windows. Desktop remains 60hz and only ingame it switches to higher. Video content is not above 60fps. To use it for phone scrolling and waste the battery is impractical.

    my first phone was 30 hz
    my second was 60
    my 6th is 120

And the reason why YT videos do slowmos to show u 120 hz bcoz YT does not allow u to post original 120 fps video & YT vdeo is 30fps or 60fps, so in that case slowmo is only option to make u see difference

    Honestly after I switched to iPhone 14pro max now I can’t even look at 60hz phone without thinking that there is something wrong coz you CAN visually SEE the difference and lag…. It’s crazy but I’m so glad it faster and faster coz I’ve always been using phones or PC „too fast“ and this phone really fills my demands

    I think 120hz are used by most Androids because the base 60hz androids are slower than the iphone. Even 12 pro max is faster than most android phones in its era

      They slow down the video cuz videos can only be 60 fps on yt (60 Hz)
      So you can't see 120 fps (120 Hz)
      You gotta try a 120 Hz phone

    Apple is really greedy tbh, 120hz is now a mediocre in midrange phones, even bought a 170 usd android phone 3 years ago and it had one. Not saying its a better phone far from it actually but yeah they're gatekeeping and delaying features so that they can introduce more features with their "pRo" variant especially the AOD one, how come only the pro have it when all of the recent iphone models have oled. 💀

      the highest hz on phone is only 165hz😢 and apple uses 120hz on iphone 13 pro (14 p, 15 p) so probably iphone users have to wait until iphone 20 release to have 165hz
