  • Downward facing dog! Even though this is probably the most common pose of any hatha or vinyasa class, downward dog is a tough pose, especially if you’re new to yoga or if you have tight hamstrings. I’ll break down the component parts of this foundational pose and show you some of the transitions you might find in a regular yoga class. I’ll also offer a fun and challenging variation of Sun Salutation A! Grab a mat and let’s get our dog on!
Welcome to my RUclips channel! My name is Sandra Gin and I am a yoga instructor from Vancouver, British Columbia. I film most of my classes on my private rooftop in the neighbourhood of Kitsilano. Often, my daughter or pup will make an appearance in my videos because that’s the reality of trying to film at home! :)
My classes are designed for all levels of yoga, with the opportunity for you to modify for your specific needs. Make sure that you go at your own pace and honour where your body is at today. Before beginning any exercise program, you should consult with your doctor, especially if you have any injuries.
