    Thank you so much for these videos, Doc. I’m definitely subscribing to this channel. As a 40 year old man who has multiple injuries from years of BJJ, military training, a manual labor job, and some dumb mistakes in my youth, the information in these videos is a lifesaver 🙏💯

    I have a lot of potential comments about the graphics in the video, however, my biggest suggestion is to at least 'fade-in' and 'fade-out' the graphic and this small step alone will help the production value.

    • @drkristieennis
      @drkristieennis  Год назад

      It takes me a super long time to edit as it is:) not sure my editing program allows me to fade in and out with a graphic?

    Can I ask your honest opinion I'm nearly 70 and I'm starting to do squats and yes like most people I get pain in the knees. I'm fairly fit, I cycle and swim quite regularly and I'm not that bad at both so I'm not exactly frail or sedantary. Could you advise me whether it's worthpersevering with the squats at my age or has the flexibility probably gone forever?

    • @jimbeam2705
      @jimbeam2705 Год назад

      I'm almost 63 and use knee wraps on both knees. That will help ,I believe as it helps me.

    • @barbaramallow3870
      @barbaramallow3870 Год назад +2

      70 is young! You have a lot of living left to do. A functional body that is strong and flexible helps you live it to the fullest. Perseverance, consistency and patience are key. See a professional to make sure your knees are healthy. If so, regress your squat to the point of no pain. Use props if you need them initially. Make sure you always use proper form. Shoot for incremental improvements. Slowly add other compound exercises that focus on functional fitness. Check in with yourself in 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year to celebrate your progress, even if it's small. The time will pass anyway. Make it count. Good luck to you!

    • @johnjstecher
      @johnjstecher Год назад

      Make sure you are warming up first. Don’t go so low till you are and keep your knees from going past your toes. Probably check with the doctor. Make sure you don’t have something wrong with your knees.

    • @drkristieennis
      @drkristieennis  Год назад

      70 is not old:) often form needs to be tweaked to make things comfortable.

      It's the patented Derma Edge mentioned at the end of the video.
      Click the down arrow beside Description, then "... more" at the bottom to display all the text.
      Scroll down to the last link"To order your Derma Edge". I presume there'll be information on what it is, how it's used and the perceived benefits there.
      Also, you can search "derma edge massage tool" here on YT. Lots of info about Dr Kirstie's tool and other similar items. It appears to be a recognised therapy known as edge release therapy.
