I just got the 23 ridgeline RTL Friday here in Macon Ga. Lease to buy for $395 a month. It’s a nice ride. I’m he had 4 ridgelines all black but got a white one cause man just tired of scratches showing then fading
Hey Chris, great videos you been making for Honda, I'm definitely a Ridgeline guy 100%. Just one question though.....would you have any idea/insight as to why Honda won't/doesn't sell the Touring model in the U.S? You may or may not know...but the Touring trim level replaces our RTL-E model....and, in Canada where they're sold, they offer heated/ventilated front seats and heated rear seats and possibly some other features on the Touring and Black Edition. I'm just curious why we don't have them/those options offered here in the U.S.
Yes it does sound pretty dang cool Chris (pun intended since it's cooler weather in Canada, but yet we in the U.S/warmer states don't get that option) things that make ya go hmmmm 🤔 lol That trim also gets a temp control in the rear of the center console where the USB chargers usually are (not sure if they're still fit in there) and a few other goodies. It was rumored there's power folding mirrors, rain sensing wipers and a HUD, but I can't confirm how accurate that is. Either way, I'd love to know the marketing reasons. Keep blasting out the great vids Chris 👌
@MyJeffrey1970 REALLY??? Wowwww, I'm so looking forward to checking out a Black Edition then. Thanks for the scoop, looking so forward to verifying Honda FINALLY making it right! 🙌🏽
Hi Chris, just wondering if you’ve had any complaints about the charging pad not functioning on these new Ridgelines? I bought a brand new 2022 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E last year and the charging pad charges for a few seconds before stopping. Cheers
@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 Thanks for the response, When I first purchased the truck I had an iPhone 11 and seemed to work fine but now have the 14 and with a case on or not it just doesn’t stay charging so I just plug in the usb now to charge.

Because of you I was actually able to find out 2 more secrets from the Honda Ridgeline. And my mom was impressed bc she didn’t even know that existed. (The tailgate hinge that’s on the side and the secret speakers in the cargo area)
There's something bothersome to me about paying extra for a blacked-out appearance package and then having the words "black edition" plastered in bright chrome lettering *inside of the vehicle's grill* (of ALL places...) I consider that single design decision a deal-breaker for this trim/package
I'd say it's probably just due to "advertising" the trim levels. Someone at corporate that's in charge of badging most likely decided that they want it to be seen....to stand out that it's the Black Edition trim. They know it'll be an instant "eye catcher" for recognition. I could be wrong, but I'm betting that has a lot to do with it. 🤷
Informative video. I was interested in buying the Ridgeline until you said you had to plug in phone for Android Auto. For 46k it really needs to connect over wifi, not cable connect. Thanks
Keep your eye on 2023 new redesign Honda Pilot just redesign. Redesign Ridgeline should see same technology. The current Ridgeline technology is older. But the vehicle itself is pretty good.
As a former Honda employee at the Ohio plants, I can say that Honda doesn't change features like technology except at times of major generation changes. Even "refresh" updates typically don't address old technology in the info/entertainment. The primary reason is to capitalize costs over the life of a generation for a model and standardize parts and Bill of Material for models for repair and replacement over time. As a consumer this can be very frustrating. I had a 2020 CR-V that I loved, but the technology for info/entertainment was slow and outdated. This tech didn't get upgraded until the 2023 generational update.
@@tomhockman6267 As a Honda consumer for 31 years (14 vehicles including my wife and myself) the 2023 Ridgeline is my first truck. I picked it up in early April and already have 5k on it (I'm a high mile driver). I like the truck but my biggest disappointment is the info/entertainment. Makes me feel like it's 2010 technology, especially the graphics. My 2018 Accord had a better setup than this. It's slow, sometimes non-responsive and the touch screen is inconsistent. I don't get half the information than I did with my Accord when using Bluetooth - mainly Audible & Spotify. It's so frustrating and disappointing. I spend a lot of time on the road. If I hadn't been been forced into a new vehicle due to the Accord breakdown I honestly might not have purchased the Ridgeline if I spent more time reviewing the features.
@@misnapi I worked for Honda for a number of years and unfortunately their updates to tech are generational in order to capitalize costs and standardize on supply parts. That doesn’t help the consumer much living with 6-7 old tech on the Ridgeline. I’m pretty sure 2024 will bring about the tech updates you want, but that doesn’t help you right now.

No one wants to pay for a new ruined design. Americans were crazy about the popular design of 2010-14.
