Excellent job Sarah 😂❤
Thank youuuuuuuu
I just found your channel. Big fan of Frazetta and Bakshi. Really appreciate you keeping your grandfather's flame alive. He was a modern day Rembrandt.
I love that you are keeping this legacy alive, Sara. I might have to buy some merch from your store.
It's such a great film. It's right up there with the original Heavy Metal movie. It doesn't shy away from making the women exotic and beautiful which is how classic fantasy was always intended to be.
amen amen. Beautiful women just make the world a more beautiful place
Well done!! You all are doing Frank proud. From what I have seen so far. His work deserves a timeless legacy. Hope to see it continue for a long, long time.
All I ask (if it counts at all 😊), please keep it to its purest form as possible. Can't wait to see what's next.
Thank you! I promise to keep it to its purest form and always ask...."What would Frank do?"
@@FrazettaGirls Thank you! You all are amazing!
Hands down the best animated movie ever. And I will die on that hill. Fire & Ice was sheer perfection. I loved the pacing, the animation is beyond amazing, the story is fantastic. So thankful for having seen the movie, own it (VHS, then eventually on DVD), watch it probably once a month (it's one of the few movies I've downloaded on my iPad - that, The original The Crow movie, and the movie CLUE, I know very different kinds of movies, but those are sheer perfection!) Thank you for taking the time to spot light this and discuss it - loved the insight. (Also, for anyone not aware, there's been a few issues of Fire & Ice as a comic I'd strongly recommend too!)
THANK YOU! I like your taste in films. The Crow is great.
Been following you for a long time on Facebook, didn't know you were on Y-Tube too. Frazetta, the Master, changed my life when I saw his Lancer Conan covers back when I was twelve and I discovered great sword and sorcery books along with the fantastic art. Great channel!
Thank you so much for being here!
Frazzeta girls rock!!!!
Thanks for being AWESOME
THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you for doing this retrospective. A print of Frazetta is in my home and in my heart forever!
I didn’t expect my response finding this channel. I found listening to the stories of the life of one of my biggest heroes, being told by his granddaughter, rather overwhelming. I suddenly found myself crying. Weeping even.
James Gurney was a fellow student at Wilbur Junior High and Cubberley High School, and we all knew he was destined for greatness. He did portraits of Martin Luther King and the school principal, way back during Junior High, and they hung in the principal's office lobby. Of course, he went on to even greater success not only doing backgrounds for projects like Fire & Ice, but created Dinotopia. A very cool person.
One if not the most exciting and memorable movies of my childhood. Still love this masterpiece! Thank you for keeping this movie alive!
Frank frazzetta is my favorite artist. Thank you for all of the great videos.
Darkwolf is Nekrons father confirmed!! I adore this movie. Not like or love but Adore. Love the comic series as well. I can't wait to see where else this universe goes.
It really seems like he just might be or at least...the stepfather? Something definitely happened with Juliana and Darkwolf. There is some tension to say the least.
@@FrazettaGirls
Dvd extras, it is revealed that Darkwolf is Necron's father, which is why He feels responsible for his evil!!!
I NEED TO SEE THE DVD EXTRAS!!! AHHHH
When Darkwolf called Julianna a wolf bitch that showed that he personally knew her. Now to learn that he is Necron's father is a twist in the plot! I purchased the VHS back in the 80's before DVDs came on the scene, so I have to check out the DVD extras.
@@InterstellarWarrior7 Yo when Darkwolf said that... I knew!! yo my man!! cos that sounded too personal 😂😂
Hi, Sara! I had just watched Fire and Ice again on Monday. I even watched all of the DVD Extras, afterwards. Have a fantastic weekend!
Perfect timing! Thank you for your support. You are the best.
I don't need to tell you that Fire and Ice is dear to my heart and a huge influence on my own work. I always enjoy your summaries. You have that same energy as the Turner Classic Movie introductions that make you feel like you're about to watch something special.
Thank you, Christopher! Appreciate you!
@@FrazettaGirls I'm an admirer of both your business savvy and camera presence.
So glad I found your channel I have been a frazetta fan since the mid 70s. My frazetta art book I was gifted in 83 is one of my cherished belongings.
I was a young artist in those days and was hungry everthing frazetta.
In the 90s I came so close buying o copy of his work that came with one of his artist brush. Wish could of did that.
Thank you so much for this channel. Fire & ice is in my online collard in DVD. 🎉❤
There is so much to the story, and most of it has not yet been told, yet. The theme of ice and fire go strong in that realm. A keen eye for detail is needed. Thank you @Frazetta Girls.
So happy to see this! I got the notification (via other means) of the Dynamite comic series a few days ago, and am totally on-board for that! I only saw Fire and Ice a few years ago for the first time (though I heard about it since it came out), and it's one of my favorite animated films ever at this point. Such superb work! Thank you for carrying on your grandfather's legacy so well!
Thank you so much for saying that and it's my honor to carry on the legacy. Let us know what you think about the series!
Wow, just discovered this channel (sub'd) and the content is so good. You do such a great job of conveying the history of these beloved pieces of culture. Thank you for sharing these glimpses of an amazing artist's past. I loved this film, I was 9 when I first saw it and it had such an impact on me, and inspired my lifelong love of art, and animation.
I bought the blu ray and watched it for the first time yesterday great movie I love how it combines frazetta’s artwork with rotoscoping it was way ahead of its time.
This is awesome content! Frazetta for life!
FOR LIFE!! Thanks for watching!
Such a great movie with insane art.
I'm only 1 minute 32 seconds into this video... Freakin' Awesome Sauce! :D Instant Subscribe! :D
OHHHH thank youuuuu
I can't wait to watch this again knowing your video. This was a cult classic,
So awesome Sara!
This is awesome! Well done! Really need to re-watch the movie again, with all the insider information from this vid 👌🏻
Thanks Sara! I enjoyed this.
Thank you so much for watching. Appreciate you!
This movie brings back good memories, the 80's were awesome. I know the following were not 80's movies(I saw them in the 80's though), but I also enjoyed other similar animated movies from Ralph Bakshi, Wizards and the animated Lord of the Rings from 1978.
I would love to see a live movie or this
We think it's going to happen. When? I don't know but it WILL!
Good work! I think I will rewatch Fire and Ice now
I love all this great info!
Love you Kevin!
@@FrazettaGirls Love you Sara!
I really dig this film ever since I was a kid.
Sara, is there enough existing material to put together an art or making of book of Fire & Ice?
Thanks
There is and that is a terrific idea. We will do our best to make this happen. Thank you!
I just picked up the new comic that came out this week. I can’t believe you scored Bill Willingham to write this series.
He was the only one for the job. Fables was incredible. I can't wait for you to read the entire series.
I have it on DVD. I haven't checked if I can get it on bluray
I believe you can :)
Just subbed! 🎉❤
Love this! 😊
Thank you so so much
@@FrazettaGirls Anytime!
Fantastic!!
Fire and Ice is really good movie.
You have great taste
I enjoyed F & I much more than Wizards. This could easily be a weekly TV series, reminiscent of Mightor, Herculouds, Blackstar.
I’d love to see a live action movie or series adaptation with all the violence and nudity of a game of thrones. Whatever happened to the Robert Rodriguez remake?
Little Sarah and Grandpa watching that film together must have been amazing for you. Maybe someday, we'll get a live action "Lord of the rings" type movie version. I would gladly volunteer to help with the tigra auditions.
Wouldn't it be amazing!? I'll be there for casting Teegra too. That's the only way this would be right. A LOTR type movie.
I just can't believe I never saw it in theater. Maybe it didn't come to my town. Or it could have been rated R? Or maybe I was distracted, puberty and all that stuff.
It was actually rated PG which kind of killed the buzz. If they rated it PG-13 it would have been more successful in theaters. I don't believe it played in many theaters.
I live pretty close to the frazetta museum i have yet to have gone. It's a regretI'm just now realizing...
😻
Still sad I didn't buy a cel from this when I had a chance.
Ugh I know the feeling. Maybe another opportunity will come up for you soon.
I never knew Thomas Kincaid did the background art!
2:26 Gorgeous
👍👍👍😊⚔
❤❤
Question do you produce art work of your own ? ❤
I dabble. I draw, I write and I make short films.
@@FrazettaGirls quite nice thank you.
😍😍😍😍😍
Voice only comes from the left side on my end 😕
Do a tad louderr
We are a work in progress. I'll be working on that audio. Thanks for being here!
