Hopefully Scarlet and Violet was their wakeup call.

I believe that played a part too. Scarlet and Violet did great sales wise but I'm sure they seen the potential if they put in more effort towards future titles

@@TheShaderGamer they only did great sales wise because of nostalgia. Sword and shield and also scarlet and violet have been branded as the worst ones ever made and have really put a dampener on their reputation. So yeah hopefully those have been a wake up call.

They saw the success of Palworld and decided they needed to adapt or die. That game opened the gates for others like it, and I think in the next year or two we'll start seeing more similar creature capture games. I think Nintendo was planning to announce PLZA for this year, but changed their mind when Palworld hit #1 on Steam.

      I agree on this take

Honestly, Palworld will be the best thing to ever happen to Pokemon. Pokemon has so much potential, but they keep pretending that their main audience is still the under 12 crowd. Palworld showed that putting effort into the game actually will reap more sales and more money.
