I'm am so very thankful that people like you exist to make videos to basically show other people, like me, that cannot read a pattern or memorize terms for stitches. this is an adorable pattern and I can't wait to make it!!!!
Thank you so much for posting a how to video about making this hat! I am now making a bundle for our Women's March in Denver on Jan. 21st. I'm sure people will love them!
Emilie, I live on the Western Slope, so not close enough to directly help you. I'm bringing a few extras with me and would be happy to share one with you if we can find each other in that wonderful mass of people who will be showing up!!! I'll look for you on their facebook page.
Thank you for your video. You're a great teacher. Your hat was my first project ever. I followed your instructions and wahlah, I have the perfect cat hat. I'm so proud of myself. Wish I could post a pic.
This was SO easy to make! I only did a little at a time here and there but I think all told it would probably take under an hour from start to finish. I was using leftover yarn, but I bet it would be about a skein. Thanks so much!
Finished mine today. Came put pretty well considering I'd never crocheted before. Thank you so much for creating this tutorial and pattern, and all crochet stiches tutorials, the foundation single crochet tutorial was especially helpful :)
Hey Alexis, i just finished my first cat ears hat. Thanks so much for your video. My 8 yr old granddaughter loves cats so I think she will like this hat.
Excellent tutorial. Unfortunately, I made mine a little too long, but I rolled up the edge and gifted it to someone who wanted a cat hat with ears. I liked it so much, im making one for ME😁
I love your instructions! So easy to understand and you have a calming easy voice to listen to. Not monotone or annoying like many others on RUclips. Btw I ❤️❤️❤️ your nails in all your videos!!! Especially these metallic ones! 😍
Thank you for this pattern! the knitted version was taking me for eveeerrr because I knit slower than I crochet; this one was finished in no time at all!!
Made two pink ones for my mom and her friend to protest and a rainbow one for my daughter. I used Lion brand Hometown USA. They all turned out amazing. Thanks for this easy pattern:)
This is an awesome video! Just in time for the holidays. I am a beginner but feel I can handle this. Tomorrow I am to buy yarn. I would live to make some for my nieces
I really like your video and I am going to try it very soon.. After I finish my last project.. I hope you will make many more... Thanks... :) BTW.. I really really love how super fast and clear video is... Not dragging, but straight forward instructions which are easy to follow..
I'm also making these for the Women's March! I might add of white to the front of each ear for fun and then on the back of each ear put 20 on on ear and 17 on th other.
Me too! After knitting several, I was running out of steam. Now I'm inspired to whip out a whole bunch in no time from this crochet pattern. Love the extra touch of emphasizing the ears with those few extra little stitches.
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! I just finished my black cat beanie and I love it! It was really easy to follow, pretty simple, and your directions were very clear. The end result is super cute! Thanks a million!!!
I love your video, you're really great at explaining your process! I thought I would make mine striped with some leftover pink and purple yarn I had. But my cute Cheshire cat turned into a jester hat LOL 😂😂😂 I'll start over with a solid color and see what it looks like with a different colored brim instead.
Thank you for making such an easy to follow video tutorial, I found it through Pinterest, as I had pinned your original hat design to follow off your blog, this video made it even easier to complete an emergency Christmas present. Merry Christmas Persia! You've made my holiday happier.
Hey so I went to your blog and saw the boho bag, I love it and I was wondering if you would do a video tutorial for the bag because I'm kinda confused.
I love how easy to follow this is. I have already made two for friends. I am wondering what would be the recommended height and circumference for a child?
Found this in 2021 and I can't wait to make one during the pandemic! Love your content and voice. #soothing 🥰 Do you have a suggestion for a bigger head? Like how to measure?
@alexis Middleton. Thank you for the tutorial. This is the first video of yours that I have watched. I am going to be maki g this hat for A friend who I know will love it. Please can you tell me the make/brand of hook that you are using please? I have been looking for A set of hooks with big grips for ages as I have tendon problems in my left hand. (I'm A left handed crocheter) Thanks. Looking forward to more of your videos. I have just subscribed to you. X
Hello there! I'm so sorry I'm so late in responding. The hooks I use in this are the Susan Bates hooks with bamboo handles. I like them a lot, but they are inline hooks, so if you are used to tapered hooks (like Boye hooks) you might not like them. Good luck!
Loved your tutorial! Cant wait to make this pattern, I couldn't find the yarn you suggested in UK stores, will King Cole Glitz Chunky be a suitable substitute? :D
Finished my daughters after about a month of on and off. Looks so cool! Had been given some rainbow wool over christmas and a 5mm hook so I gave this a go. My other girls want one now.. And a scarf.. Do you know how much a ball of wool costs XD?! Anyway thanks for this video.
Hi Lola! I don't do a lot of knitting, but the same basic idea should work. Just knit a rectangle about the same size, and then follow the directions for sewing it together.
I really like that you showed the different yarns and told how many stitches you did for each of them. it's really helpful!
Lou Lou By Design me too, that was great 👍
Absolutely! Great tutorial!
