Thank you! I just made one for my oldest son and Im downscaling and making one for my toddler now! Would have loved an explanation about increasing every 6-7 rows but omitted my hat came out great! I appreciate your time 🦋
I love, love the snowfall pattern on this hat, and your instruction was so clear, I am confident I can do it! I'm finishing off a poncho as a gift for my daughter's birthday first, but this will be attempted soon! I have subscribed. Thanks so much Bethany!
I unintentionally found this video, and I ended up watching it from beginning to end, all in one shot...I've never done that!!! I just couldn't believe how simple your design was and how efficiently you taught it. Normally, I would dismiss this hat as too difficult to even try, but you made it look so easy. Not only did I try it, I finished one, and it's probably my best work! Thanks for the well-explained inspiration.
I have just made this hat and I love it! I had intended to give it as a Christmas gift but i liked it so much I've decided to keep it for myself Thank you for the video, it was very clear and easy to follow.
Gorgeous Hat! I see Hats that are Knitted and look just like this, but I have been too chicken to attempt to make them. Now I can crochet one because of you! It's so Appreciated, Thank you so much!
Thank you very much! Special thanks for subtitles and normal speed knitting. It is so impotent for me, because I'm from Russia. Of course, I tried to understand your english. My daughter has nice winter cap. Your video is very professional.
This seems so easy to do with the bottom. Of the hat I couldn't get it though but once you showed me now I can make these and the messy bun ones thank you so much
I didnt carry the lighter yarn on my first try of this pattern- glad I found the video to confirm to do that or not I was looking- it looks a lot nicer. I wondered but wasnt too sure. Thanks so much for your video!
I have a band started from another pattern and since I can't find the pattern I worked with I'm picking up on your pattern. Love your pattern with grey in it.
Love the pattern, easy tutorial and I made mine in yellow with grey- very cute! How can I make it more of a beanie style (non-slouchy) fitted hat? Thanks
Thank you Bethany for this beautiful hat. I'll be finishing mine up today, I love it and have really enjoyed making it. Your video and explanation throughout are perfect!
Making this for my sister, excellent pattern easy to follow and it looks adorable. Only things to make this video better is maybe zoom in more on your work so you can see specifically where you're stitching. It'd help newbies to this design. Other than that this is a nice tutorial, definitely a medium level pattern.
I need to go and do some grocery shopping first (hahaha)... but when I come back home, I'm going to try this. I LOVE IT!!! Thank you so much for sharing your talent to us.
Hi Bethany! I recently made this hat for myself and it fit perfectly! My co-worker wants me to make her one, but the band on this hat didn't fit her (it wasn't big enough). If I make the band longer how can I tell how many stitches should go around the hat since I'm assuming 72 would be too few? Also she wanted it a bit slouchier. Do I just keep going a little longer? Thanks! Update: I did 55 rows for the band. Around how many stitches should I do around the band ?
I've watched this video at least four times now, and I'm finally ready to try! But as a noobie I'm unsure of the measurement if I want to make the hat for my 9year old niece! Do you have any suggestions to how many inches the band should be unstretched, and how many sc for the body? I think head circ should be around 20".
Absolutely love 😍❣😍this hat!!!!! Gonna try it with navy & white I've been looking for a hat that is crocheted but looks knitted with a Pom Pom this is perfect it's gorgeous thank u for sharing & tutorial 😍
I love this hat and I am making many of them for my grand kids. I wish we could slow down this video a little to take a slower look at how the stitch is done.
I would like to make this hat with a bulky 5 yarn. Any thoughts or tips? This is my first fair isle hat that I will be trying. Thank you! I just found your site-it is awesome!
Hi Bethany! Thanks so much for the easy to follow video, can't wait to try it! Is there any yarn you can recommend that I can buy in store that will have a similar gage? I find that I'm always thrown off when I use a different yarn.
OH I already subscribed to your blog 💖 I'm looking forward to the new collection 💕😍 it's my favorite pattern , I made a small hat for my stuffed duckling lol , thank you for making those videos 💖💕💕💕
Great tutorial, thank you so much for sharing it. I watched it, grabbed some yarn and within an hour had a beautiful grey and yellow beanie with bobble, to wear tomorrow. I will def subscribe now. Many thanks x
@leenz i just didn't make it quite as wide i think. I'dalso say, not as many rounds too, despite me putting here, that o added 3 rows. Oddly enough, i wore mine for the 1st time today😅. Followed this pattern other than that.
This is exactly what I was looking for to make for myself, my sisters & our Mom...thank you!! Your instruction is so clear & easy to follow that I just subscribed! :)
hi bethany! i really enjoy your patterns and videos so thank you for making these for us hookers to enjoy :-) when slip stitching the seam for the brim, are there preferred stitches to go thru? i couldn't really tell if you were going thru the front loop, back loop, or both. thank you !
I love this hat and started to make it, but then I realized it was too small. Do you have any tips on how to adjust it for a bigger sized head? Thanks.
Thank you for doing this video. I love how simple you make it. Even your voice is calming. I was able to follow along, and the hat came out great! thanks again
Work an invisible decrease if you want it to look smoother in the decrease row. I think I’ll start working on this soon. Will be a nice break from the amigurumi I’ve been doing lately.
Thank you so much for this video! I saw your hat and mittens on Pinterest, but as I'm new to the wide world of crochet, video tutorials help me so much!! I do have a question for you though, how would you finish if you wanted to make this a messy bun hat instead of a full beanie?
Liz Schaffer try adding another row of decreasing double crochet at the end. when I make my bun beanies, i usually have 3 rows of decreasing double crochets
So adorable. Those mini heart looking stitches remind me of 80's winter hats ❤❤❤
Thank you! I just made one for my oldest son and Im downscaling and making one for my toddler now! Would have loved an explanation about increasing every 6-7 rows but omitted my hat came out great! I appreciate your time 🦋
Thank you so much for providing so many wonderful patterns for free! Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed!
