Kirsty Partridge Art sometimes with sketch and sometimes with hair..Sometimes is really easy for me to sketch a face...but sometimes I just can't...but I really don't like to draw hair..😧Btw I love your videos
I really struggle with proportion and with getting things on both sides of the page to look alike or at least look well. You can definitely see a difference. I'm right-handed and when I draw a face one eye always turns out a little bit bigger and a little bit better than the other. The same goes for the nose and mouth and the hair, one side always looks better than the other.
in a way i struggle with realistic drawing due to impatience i seen someone draw will smith & it looked perfect but his process for the skin was stippling combined with a brush. i just sat there thinking how
Deadpool yes patience plays a massive part in the overall look of the drawing. I think it plays more of a role in how realistic a drawing looks than people think. Your drawings can improve so much just by doubling the amount of time you spent on them 😊
Heather C EXACTLY what I was thinking! Kirsty and Dan are my top most favorite realistic artists of all time both of their videos helped me so much and they really inspired me!! Dan is super amazing!
You are my inspiration to improve my art. Thank you very much for these useful hacks. Whenever I get frustrated I just watch your videos and they are just mind changing and so much relaxing.
It’s a huge difference when people can get over their inhibitions and get their darks dark enough, their lights light enough and when to correctly use shadow👍 Well Done Kirsty!!👏👏💞😊 Have you set a date yet? I was sooo tickled when you let us know of your engagement,.. now just waiting for THE date👏👏💞
I envy your patience I simply have trouble waiting for things to dry also re-working an area of a picture that needs extra refinement. You are amazing!
Your videos have helped me so much!!! I love how you teach it. I unfortunately did a lot of the "Don't" side but now I can see where I was messing up. ❤
What a lovely ring! I'm a new subscriber, so congratulations and best wishes on your engagement. Your drawing of your ring is so realistic. Thank you for the tips. I would love to be able to draw as beautifully as you do.
Hi Kirsty , Greetings from India. You are an absolute awesome artist and have totally inspired me to try colour pencils as well as work on my sketching...i was most comfortable using just acrylic paints. Would love to see a tour of all the products you use..keep up the good work 👍🏼
Another point of advice is to use hard pencils this means using H and higher such as 2h 3h 4h and so. this will grant you softer lines and easier time to erase
It’s so strange that I went from being discouraged to encouraged. That is my first thought was the don’t looks good to me, but the tutorial made me feel better. :p
ShawN shawN that’s fine if it works for you and you like the results you get 😊 however if you find that blending with your fingers isn’t giving you the look you want then I recommend trying out some of the tools I mentioned and see how you get on 💕
Kirsty, you have no idea how much I improved from your videos!!! Thank you so much for your videos! Hey I would also appreciate if you would start something with oil pastel and soft pastel :)
wow this is an awesome tutorial as always! i've never used charcoal in my graphite drawings before; i've also heard of using black pencil crayons with it!
Always enjoy your videos mam. Very informative and useful. I wish I could show you my amateurish works for some more specific guidelines to improve myself 😊
Completely agree about starting with the darkest areas first (weather it be jewellry metal, or skin any texture , the same principal applys) as shading is ALWAYS about comparison of tones isnt it? including when painting.
QOTD: What do you struggle with when it comes to drawing realistically?
Kirsty Partridge Art sometimes with sketch and sometimes with hair..Sometimes is really easy for me to sketch a face...but sometimes I just can't...but I really don't like to draw hair..😧Btw I love your videos
Kirsty Partridge Art i struggle drawing everything 😂😂
Probably likeliness. It's so time consuming to get a likeliness, especially portraits.
I struggle with mostly shading and proportions

Dan Beardshaw?
True 😂 also one of the reasons why I shied away from an art degree 😢 (still indecisive between Psychology and Art... sigh)
