- I flew Virgin Atlantic in Upper Class on their Dreamliner 787-9 from London Heathrow to Miami. What's it like? Here's my review

My flight reviews are unbiased and provide an honest encounter of what it's like to fly on Virgin Atlantic's business class product.
Flight time was around 9.5 hours for this trip, during the daytime. It gave me the opportunity to experience their inflight food and drink as well as their flat bed. Furthermore they also have an inflight bar which offers drinks, snacks and made to order food.

For an airline that was founded out of spite, VA is pretty amazing. Seriously though, one day Virgin brand founder Richard Branson was waiting for a flight to the British Virgin Islands when his American Airlines flight was cancelled. Branson was so ticked off at this that he chartered a plane directly from Boeing, sold half-price tickets for the flight to anyone else who was gonna be on the flight that got cancelled and launched Virgin Atlantic at Gatwick Airport upon his return!

Nice review. its interesting that Virgin still have these seats on relatively new 787s. I have flown a few times several years ago on A340 and the seat is good as a bed without the restrictions of having to get your feet into a box. I have got far more used to suite type seats on ther airlines which have a better configuration and privacy but not necessary better for sleeping.
I’ve been Upper Class several times on the B747 which I loved. How do you think this compares to the Dreamliner been there were only 14 seats on the B747 which resulted in a lot more room to stand and walk around compared to the 787?

Thanks for an informative and SHORT video. I can't understand why most reviewers spend 30 to 45 minutes in what it should take less than 10 minutes.
Its usually because they pay a lot of money for the seat so they want a lot of ads.
Watching pre Covid videos makes me miss it lol
There are a few annoying things about the Banana Upper class seat in my opinion I do really Like those seats I prefer the New Upper class suites they are really nice but I do like how unique the banana upper class seat was👍nice video

@@Trektrendy Thank you....1st time (Upper Class), been to Vegas many times....but never stayed on the Strip. We have American friends, so we stay in a vacation villa about 25 minute drive from the strip.
BA First is so much better but often much more expensive. If you get a chance go BA

Always wondered, the upper class lounge in Heathrow, is it free bar and food?
Sure is - as long as you have access to the lounge you'll get comp drinks and buffet/alà carte dining

@@owensingleton4476 good luck - there is no Virgin First Class. They have a business class product which they call ‘Upper Class’.
I thought 1st class is when you have your own separate room, have shower and bar etc....
With Emirates yes. But this here is Business Class not First Class

It’s definitely not First Class. It’s J class which is Business. Virgin is very good at its marketing to try and make you think this but alas Virgin does not operate any F products anymore.

I flew Upper Class three times and every time, the cabin crew were too busy looking after their off duty co-workers rather than pay attention to regular pundits !

That's a horrible looking product. It looks like you're in a train carriage with the walls in the centre. Windows that you need an articulated mirror to look outside. No thanks. 😒
