If you see the game and play the game.. Sony has done a great job with this.. it is even more friendly than this short little segment.. if you build the scenes and the emotions.. for the Android protecting another Android.. a child.. from the human purchaser.. and then follow the storyline.. that can be creative then you become a part of the story.. and it is my belief that we live in a dream.. and in a multi-dimensional universe represented by right now string theory.. the 11th dimensions of string theory.. that we are in reality stories made into flesh or seemingly flesh.. but in reality we are only dreams.. and that when we die.. we go into the dark matter and dark energy of the universe.. we know that the dark matter and dark energy is there but we don't know what it is.. but I believe that it is us.. our stories.. which we have made with our lives.. and that our religion.. and all religions that stress reincarnation.. and the eternal life.. like the Christian religion.. are simply describing what we are.. which are energy matter.. and the stories that we make.. I have three personal events that have happened in my life.. I had an out-of-body experience as a child where I floated up to the ceiling and could look down at my body.. and realize then that our bodies were simply monkey bodies that are spirit so inhabited.. another was when I was a teenager driving a tractor and was run over by it.. the last thing I saw before the 6-ft wheel ran over me was my entire life flashing by in front of my eyes like a movie.. and the last one was seeing my father when I was 69 years old looking like he was really there when I was in the bathtub at at my house but my father had been dead for 10 years.. so I believe in eternal life.. and if you follow the creative game.. and build up a history or a story.. you will start to cry.. with the emotions that the game develops.. so while the game is a fantastic electronic dream.. it will provoke human emotions..

Well they want you to focus on the soul being the main thing that separates us from every other living thing on the planet.
But that is just brainwashing - in fact what was meant to be said was that androids have no self-awareness.

If God tells you not to touch something and you do it and get burned, it doesn't mean you were punished by God, it just means that it was hot and you were told not to touch it, you just weren't told why not to touch it. Religion must be God's biggest disappointment because it uses scare tactics to intimidate people. It must offend God every single time the collection plate gets passed. If we develop ai this advanced, I could only dream the outcome would be them developing real, genuine, humanity.

Assuming androids (or aliens, for that matter) would be violent is a projection (although that doesn't necessarily mean it's incorrect. If androids are deemed sentient, they should be granted rights. Whether or not they have "a sOuL" is irrelevant. It's all in how we treat beings created in our own image. Even in the Matrix, the keywords that spake the doom of mankind weren't "...gave birth to A.I.", but "In our hubris..."

Unless a robot can choose to walk out of a lab on its own free will, I am not going to believe that it is conscious. If any of them are conscious, then why don't we see then walking around in public and mingling with everyone. My guess is that they are being remotely controlled.
