I remember watching this movie in the theaters at least 4 times! Then I watched it every time we went on a road trip. Pacific Rim is one of those movies where you remember every dialogue and how it's delivered.
I enjoyed Breach Wars. They could have done it better, but I liked seeing all the different Jaeger designs. Speaking of all the different Jaeger designs, I found (and 3d printed) a model pack of all 5 Jaegers in Pacific Rim, and I have a friend who is willing to model Obsidian Fury and potentially another 70 or so named Jaegers. As far as I'm aware, she's not started on Obsidian Fury yet, but I believe she's doing two models for him - the entire Jaeger, and a separate model for his head, intended to be printed much larger as a PC case. That's what I asked for, and she agreed.
The fact that you did not include azure defiant breaks my heart. He was such a cool fan made Yeager that they actually added him later on into the canon universe.
Great video!! Man, I need to watch Pacific Rim again. It also has one of the best soundtracks of all time. My fav jaegers are the MK I-IIIs, I love the clunkiness they have alongside their badassery. They absolutely look and move like nuclear reactors with legs and guns. I haven't seen Uprising, but The Black is on my watch list!

This is video is a treat! Bro watching this whole video brought me back down nostalgia lane, as in 2018, I was absolutely obsessed with Pacific rim, had watched the two films countless times and had been playing the games non stop. Thank you so much for helping me revisit a childhood charm!
What’s even better than Uprising (not that it’s hard to beat) was The Black. The black protocol was an interesting premise and the show was very well done. It’s just a shame that it is based from the sequel people don’t want to exist. Pacific Rim: The Black is a great recovery from Uprising, but it can’t fix the overall story. At least it decided to make a cool story out of the mostly decimated continent of Australia. Sorry, had to vent because no one talks about the show because it comes after the sequel people want to forget exists.

Built as a mass production Jager each crusaders is slightly different from each other ( weapons, con pod paint and role) Cross guard was a medium and close range fighter Being the last mk3 built she had some elements that from mk4s she was sent to australia with her crew Sent home from the pacific to be repaired, and upgrads. But it was cancelled And left there due to her condition and resources redirected to gipsy danger. A year later She was no where near operational When the wall came down. And they heard there was only 5 Jagers where heading to Hong Kong, They started trying to patching her up with parts from others Jagers including parts from the cancelled mk5 programme and bolt on armor. She arrived 8 hrs after the breach was sealed. And is now on display as a memorial and Museum to the war
I too made a jaeger Eugen Protecter A Jaeger mk 1 made under the country Germany It was released at the Berlin shatter dome and kept the barrier unbreached for 4 years before losing to a Kaija in 2021 The jaeger was unique for having 4 pilots of a whole family concluding of sons and wife and husband with 2 heads and with 2 arms able to split in 2 to create 4 arms, 1 set for punching and good parry’s, 1 set for ripping and tearing Its 2nd last mission it was badly damaged and a leak in its double regen nuclear power cell was completely overlooked draining its power and speed. It had 6 confirmed Kaiju kills and for its first mission was sent out to Hong Kong with Horizon brave and Cherno Alpha to deal with a Cat 3 Kaiju named Skullcrusher, it was the one to make the killing blow by head butting the kaiju before then beating its skull in. It’s last mission was to guard the walls in Berlin where it was overpowered by being tackled into the wall crumbling backwards before its body was beaten to a pulp and the pilots died from exposed radiation.
Yes I believe that The release date of Pacific Rim should, be celebrated, and nice job showcasing, all the Hager’s, as you gave the underrated Jaegers , from the comics, and books, nice job, showing them all off. Also if you do do a video on all of the blue monsters enemy’s that are the Kaiju, make sure you do Turantulos, he’s from the Prequel comic of the anime show, where he participated in the attack on Australia, where like you said, killed by Striker Beserker.

In my opinion the idea of designers not putting enough shielding around jaegers reactors is ridiculous. Humanity has been working with radiation for century at this point and had an enormous amount of accidents with it. Of all mechanisms in Mark 1s like canons, blades, rockets, etc. reactors would probably be the safest, because everyone know how cruel they are. And by God I hope that channeling sea water through cooling system on Gypsy does not include reactor cooling system, because if salt gets eradiated it's pretty much over no only for the reactor, but for people later decommissioning it
I always thought it wasn't the shielding of the reactor core itself but shielding of certain pipes or components that were radioactive in the jaeger that reached the comm pod that they didn't account for in the rushed designs to get the jaegers into service. Like think about it, these are nuclear machines hundreds of feet tall and wide. So many components and units will need shielding that would be difficult to meticulously get right in a world ending rushed scenario. First of its kind too, kind of thing.

Where be scrapper because he is technically considered a Jaegar like the mafia fights Jaegars even if he was only constructed and used for a week he's still a Jaegar housed with smoke grenades and the ability to transform into a ball like Sonic The Hedgehog. Also while he's at the shatterdome he recieves a welding tool as a new weapon inside of his fingers that assisted Gipsy Avenger against his fight against the Mega-Kaiju that I've nicknamed Razor Tail. [Don't make fun of me for the name making kaiju names it harder than it looks.]
This make me remember my time designing Jeagers, i made so many of them for all kind of stories, crossover or originals I even end up searching many things i wasn't interested before, ah, the memories, Pacific Rim is the best, is so sad it never got a sequel and feel bad for the poor people who came from the series to just get trauma in the first 10 min

I'm not familiar enough with PR to know if one already exists but a Jaeger with Ironman style palm cannons would be really effective. Just putting the hand to the target area and blast a hole through. Also an ax head for headbutting because nobody ever anticipates a headbutt
Really sad they never made a sequel to this movie. A well made follow up movie to this could really do numbers. Hopefully they do, I can't wait to see Raleigh again, and I'd love to see what new interesting things they do with Mako's character. If only.

Interestingly enough, during Pacific Rim the Black's season 2, when Atlas Destroyer manages to escape the labyrinth of Kaijus that kajiu-groupie lunatic was hosting. They came across an area apparently controlled by the Sisters of the Kajiu. Anyways, in the walls, we can see remains of several Jaegers, one of them I am convinced looks exactly like the head of Sabre Athena... Might be a rebuild like with Striker Berserker or Horizon Bravo.
Fun fact: Gypsy Danger's paint job is that of American aircraft that fought in the Pacific during WWII, respectively, the legendary Vought F4U Corsair. A Legendary Aircraft and a legendary Jeager.

Made a fan made Mk2 Jaeger a long time ago called Kilo Wolf. It was mostly designed to test new equipment and was rarely ever used in combat.

I even end up searching many things i wasn't interested before, ah, the memories, Pacific Rim is the best, is so sad it never got a sequel and feel bad for the poor people who came from the series to just get trauma in the first 10 min

I always thought they could share the first name, kind of like a model type, and the the second name was just the variation
To prevent communication confusion, this likely only happened when one was retired. So you only would have G. Avenger after G. Danger was destroyed and such.

I really miss Breach wars. It was my fav game and being a Pacific Rim game that had fun gameplay made it my fav. 😢
He forgot to mention those Cyro blasters or what ever they were called in his armpits of gipsy danger that was used in the fight against otachi to freeze its tail and literally break its tail
I'm not familiar enough with PR to know if one already exists but a Jaeger with Ironman style palm cannons would be really effective. Just putting the hand to the target area and blast a hole through. Also an ax head for headbutting because nobody ever anticipates a headbutt
Really sad they never made a sequel to this movie. A well made follow up movie to this could really do numbers. Hopefully they do, I can't wait to see Raleigh again, and I'd love to see what new interesting things they do with Mako's character. If only.

Interestingly enough, during Pacific Rim the Black's season 2, when Atlas Destroyer manages to escape the labyrinth of Kaijus that kajiu-groupie lunatic was hosting. They came across an area apparently controlled by the Sisters of the Kajiu. Anyways, in the walls, we can see remains of several Jaegers, one of them I am convinced looks exactly like the head of Sabre Athena... Might be a rebuild like with Striker Berserker or Horizon Bravo.

Fun fact: Gypsy Danger's paint job is that of American aircraft that fought in the Pacific during WWII, respectively, the legendary Vought F4U Corsair. A Legendary Aircraft and a legendary Jeager.
