Ah yes yes, as a Filipino myself I can confirm that we always eat like that. We love rice, we can't have dinner or breakfast like this. Also you don't need gravy sauce to make the rice and the chicken taste like heaven. It already taste like heaven!! In every fast food restaurants in the Philippines, they always serve with rice. For example, in Mang Inasal and Jollibee.
A regular chicken joy menu in Jollibee comes with rice, gravy and a drink of your choice. Jollibee's chicken and rice combo still the best 😊 We mostly ate everything with rice. Just like what Jessica said, "WALANG RICE, WALANG LIFE". The reason why most Filipino foods are salty.

Fried chicken and Filipino style spaghetti is also a great combo. Pinoy chicken is leans from salty to garlicky flavor, partner with sweet flavor of of pinoy spaghetti complement each other.

Had Jollibee on Thursday and I can confirm I drank the gravy like a soup when the chicken finished xD Jollibee chicken without the gravy is not jollibee anymore :') and yes rice is a must hahaha if we have fried chicken at home, the marinate can be salty to we eat it with rice and spicy banana ketchup (for me anyway)

I also like in the Philippines the KFC itself lol cause every chicken rice meal I can't have it without the UNLI gravy or the "sabaw" me and my friends used to asked at the counter to have an extra medium-sized bowl cause we definitely put alot of gravy on the rice and it's sooo good. Gravy itself can act up as a soup since it tasted more savory than any gravy I had still now been loving it ❤❤❤
