    Hello ELites! We hope you liked our video even if we didn’t have any banana leaves~ Our original plan was just a Mang Inasal mukbang. But we really thought that it would be a purposeless video if it’s just one with them eating and chatting. So in the end, we changed the concept to a “kamayan” lesson and challenge! Everything was really done on a whim! Nonetheless, we explained the whole concept of “boodle fights,” and the use of banana leaves to them! In place of the banana leaves is cling film/plastic wrap wrapped around our glass table top disguised as a regular table adding more to the unexpectedness of our surprise! We hope that many found our video entertaining and insightful! 💜

      Hey EL, why haven't you made yet these Koreans to react to Morisette's cover of Resignation, a Korean song which she sang partly in Korean. Will you please make this happen?
      Either of these versions would be great for them to react,

    • @elsplanet
      @elsplanet  4 года назад +19

      Hello, JC. This is EL! glad you enjoyed the video, noticed, and appreciated the fact that our channel focuses on bridging culture. You're very welcome. But I would like to note something. I don't have the right to tell you how to feel, especially since you have all the right to feel that way! However, I would like to encourage you, and many other fellow Filipinos to look for national "pride" somewhere closer to you! I grew up seeking validation from the people around me, and I realized that by doing so, it only made me live each day according to what I thought they wanted me to be instead of discovering who I really was as a person. I'm not saying that I found myself completely, but I do think that I'm on the right track! As I grew up, I realized that maybe (it's just a personal opinion that you don't have to accept!), this might be how "Filipino Pride" should be viewed as well. National pride should not come from the praises of foreigners towards our culture, artists, songs, and other facets of our "Filipino-ness." But rather, it should simply come from loving your own culture, languages, traditions, and loving "you" yourself for being Filipino; because that enough is something worth loving and being proud of. 😉💜 Again, this is just my opinion! We do make content sharing Filipino culture, but it doesn't come from a place craving for validation. Rather it comes from our will as a channel to share, and learn more about the culture of our own country, Korea, and the other countries that we feature. Thank you again, JC! We love you! - EL, a Filipino

When we eat and to satisfy our palate we first smell the food then by touching you feel the texture and then you chew the food with so much gusto and hmmmm so good. It's not that bad if you eat with your hands in the Philippines. Some countries might be not used on doing that but Filipinos are. Sometimes we just use our hands when eating dry foods like fried chicken, Inasal, pork chop and all kind of dry foods. Sometimes we use a spoon and a fork when eating foods with sauce like Adobo, Sinigang and more.
