@dennisjameson6492 the card says when it does combat damage to a player, so it turning sideways doesn't mean you get the trigger for allot of reasons. The creature can be blocked by a creature, no trigger. The damage can be prevented, resulting in no trigger. The creature can be removed from combat in a various amount of ways before the damage step, resulting in no trigger. And to be petty, they could be given vigilance so they would never turn sideways. However; things can secure your trigger like menace, trample, protection from appropriate cards(creatures in general or appropriate colors) flying, horsemanship, fear, intimate and so on. Extra triggers can be gained in one turn with double strike as it is two separate instants of damage or if you can pull it off, extra combats P.s. this game is complicated af and really specific and literal
@@CommanderMechanic you’ll be using them immediately, since it doesnt have haste, and since they can very clearly see you have tivit in your command zone, they’ll keep some removal ready the instant you get enough mana to start the combo, so you’ll need to start the combo the instant tivit hits the field
@@CommanderMechanicYou definitely can't count on the first turn's tokens because you need those to immediately take an extra turn instead of hoping both Tivit and the Sieve stick around for a whole cycle. It doesn't really matter, since you only need to sacrifice two extra artifacts plus the Time Sieve itself to kill everyone if you attack correctly, and you have a dozen draw steps to find them if you don't already have any mana rocks or hate pieces sitting around, but you're almost never counting on only the tokens from Tivit's vote to get you all the way.
I would love to see a spotlight on my boy grist, its definitly the best hulk commander in my experiance playing hulk by how consistant natural order lines are in the deck.
I'd love if my Locust God Deck could bust through the hump with the Sage of the Falls Combo that is tutorable with Imperial Recruiter but it just doesn't seem to get there most of the time as straight UR can't really compete without Niv-Mizzet's in built draw engine.

I would LOVE liesa shroud of dusk to see Cedh play. I have a high power version of the deck and as a joke decided to play her against my friends Cedh decks and I won, decided to do it again later on and also won again. I think she functions sort of like a rule of law in the command zone. Sure you can cast spells, but if someone stops you and you aren’t able to win right away then you’re so burnt out from liesas ability that it’s easy to just die from her 5/5 body. Not to mention she combats a big issue with high cost commanders that is an even higher commander tax when killed. Liesa just says nah I’ll pay a couple life and she will come right back out. It’s very much a win right now or else when playing against her because she’s hard to keep off the board and will subtly drain you more than you realize
You’d wanna go hard stax but it’s just not good enough really. I don’t think there is an Orzhov commander that’s good enough. Because.. Tymna? You’d just be better off with Tymna and then you get an entire other card in the CZ and at min 1 more color but possibly two. They’d have to make a very broken commander for their to be a legit Orzhov cedh deck.. sadly
@@BudgetPubStomper-lr7nh I think Liesa stax can function as a Cedh deck, but I definitely agree that it isn't going to win many tournaments. My personal favorite is Tatyova, Benthic Druid. [Landfall -- draw a card gain 1 life] is an absolute scam when it comes to card draw, considering most people are *paying* one mana to get one card. It's literally the perfect fusion of green and blue, and I love it. It's five mana, but you're playing green so it might as well be free. She also pairs really well with Cultivator Colossus and Azusa, Lost but Seeking. Colossus for a very explosive, game-winning turn and Azusa for more reliable 3 landfall trigger turns.
The thing i dont understand is how do they manage to resolve it? I have an optimized unesh build that wins most of the time (have yet to play it in a full cedh pod), a lot of fast artifact mana to get it out and all the usual free/nearly free counter spells, but it is relatively often countered. And when a 6 mana commander is countered, it hurts. Especially if you cracked jeweled lotus or tapped mana crypt for it
@@halvsketchy9293too few of those Nagatoro. Also, if the Tivit player feels the sussy aura, he can wait for 1 more mana in order to counter the rare creature counter. It's not failproof, but consistent enough.
