I think Yuju is one of the few vocalists who really loves to sing - maybe some of that is for the fame - but I think even if she wasn't an idol I think she would have been popular on YT. I can't tell if she was trained differently or just naturally her voice is difference - I still remember the infamous JYP audition from Kpop Star and she's been working to prove him wrong since then. Can't wait for the second album!
Yuju showed lots of variances in the whole album it's very special to me , the way every notes sounds so beautiful and effortless its her vocal tone magic , especially i want to mention those lots of ad-lips in all b tracks really is heaven to ears and E5 in blue nostalgia it's touching soul , and can we talk about how her lower register are so legendarily perfect (especially in bad blood, play , the killa ) Stan Yuju , stan real talent 👑

She's not yet consistent with F#3 based from how she sings in live performance. There are unfocused moments + she just started to support those F#3s this era (mind that it's also in studio only). It's more like; G3/G#3 ~ C5/C#5 ~ F#5/G5 (consistently) F#3 ~ F5 ~ G5 (at best)

i feel like she’s always sounds nervous everytime she sang on radio live even back in gfriend’s era, she usually sounds relaxed when she’s on other shows especially variety shows.. she’s actually still sounds okay, in control and supporting overall technique-wise but tends to “almost” crack at times, and also becomes consistently nasal recently.. idk if she’s already warmed up her vocal or not but i remember she said that she always warms up atleast for 5-10 minutes/day so😅

@@imanzufar i personally wouldn’t say there are exactly a low/mid/high in AA-P just like other borderline tiers, AA-P is basically means they are stronger than AA vocalist but not Proficient/Competent enough to be put in there or atleast they’re closer to it so the gap between vocalist in AA-P or A-AA tier for example is very much small so.

I think it could be because of her stylistic choices. Apparently a lot of 3rd generation vocalists are regressing For example wheein and hwasa lost their resonance and now they're both high A-AA not AA. Jihyo also lost her placement and become more stuck and nasal. Idk what is happening with 3rd generation vocalists
