I live in Oregon and have been to that beach a few times. It can be frustrating there and as you imply "patience" and a lot of time may be required. It is a beautiful area with a wonderful little town. Great captures are waiting for me there!
Excellent episode Alex, great tips… off to the shop to add waders to the kit. I want to be able to get shots like Nick Page here in the land down under. Cheers from Traralgon 👍🏼❤️🍷🇦🇺📷
Excellent video Alex. Thanks for the tip on waiting for the tripod to settle into the sand. I would think during a long exposure and the water moving through the tripod would cause some motion blur?
Alex, again a very good video on composing at the shoreline. Without a doubt it is a more difficult type of image to shoot as it is a dynamic location with the ever changing sun and clouds, and water movement. "Patience" seems to be the keyword, here. Looks like you were successful to combine these elements, and make some good imagery.
Great video Alex! I liked the image with the water on the left of the rock, it guides you eye throughout the photo more. But both images were beautiful. Seascapes are some of my favorite images to shoot! Although I have never been to any of the coasts, I still consider the photos from Lake Superior seascapes becuase it is such a huge body of water. Can't wait to see the rest of the videos in this series!
Do you use the built in interval timer when doing seascapes to get more exposures with different wave patterns? Looking forward to next videos! Going to Cape Kiwanda?
Thanks Alex. There were good tips in this. Keep making them...

Thank you very much!
Awesome images. Great video Alex. Thank you.
Many thanks!
Good stuff. That marine layer isn’t something I would have ever considered before.
Thanks Alex, some great tips and reflections on how to get good compositions.
Great video and tips!

Great idea!
thank you! what about footprints in sand when they are "erased" by waves like composition?

not usually once it's really in the sand.
Excellent information! Very well explained! Keep up the great work!

I live in Oregon and I hate the marine layer lol. That bastard has killed more sunsets than I care to remember. Great video!
