Just put one together, and I can see why Aputure recommends alternating the rod insertion. I was really waiting for those rods to bend or break. Solid seal on my GVM LS 150D light though with no leak.
Is there a trick to getting the fabric to velcro all around? I can get two on the velcro but not the others. It’s like not enough reach.
Just have to stretch it. Start at one corner and work it around
Getting the rods off is a pain. Any tips on that?

These rods are under pretty heavy tension.
I place the end that's swan onto the soft box against my belt buckle, and bend the rod, to release tension.
You may have to bend the rod to the point you start worrying about permanently bending the rod in order to release the tension.
