Small Engine Repair for a Backpack Blower - 2 Cycle Leaf Blower that Bogs Down When Hot

How to diagnose and do a small engine repair for a leaf blower or backpack blower that bogs down when hot. Covers, fuel system, exhaust, spark arrestor and cooling. These points are valid for gas trimmer and other 2 cycle outdoor tools. This backpack blower started bogging down after running 10 or 15 minutes. I ended up buying a new Husqvarna, but decided to tackle this one so I would have two. I was able to get this backpack blower running right by following the steps in the video!

Thank you for the insight into this. I have Husqvarna BT125 that is bogs down and dies after 5 mins. Engine seems very hot for only 5mins of running. It is 12 years old but I know these engines (when serviced and maintained) will last for decades.

Could always use a propane torch to burn the dibris off the spark arrestor

Thank you That's sounds so crazy but its true .On B2 Poulan gas leaf blower same thing . as its different I had to Remove the muffler as spark arrester is built in I use brake clean.

Jose, where is the carb rebuild video? I couldn't find it. Also can you give me a link for the rebuild kit and or a new carburetor for same blower ryobi 8576. I heard that there is another product that uses the same carburetor that you can also buy. Any idea? Thanks ahead of time.

I never put o eup on a small engine carb rebuild, did one for an outboard. Next small carb I rebuild I'll put a video up.

My blower estop working after a while of working iI do lawn car and every time stopo working after 2 pm. I had to use my other blower
