TWO SLIGHT CORRECTIONS: Zigzagoon - As it turns out, only the GameCube Demo Disc gave out the actual Zigzagoon. After asking someone who did this themselves, they said they recieved it, however this seems to be missinformation. Countless hours goes into researching these videos, however sometimes things go wrong. Though it's a reasoning, its not an excuse, and this is on me. Magearna - You actually only need to complete the pokedex up until Eternatus in Sword and Shield. I ended up trying it myself and I did recieve it.
You're still wrong on Magearna, you only need to complete the Pokédex up to Eternatus. They never bothered to update the requirements to get it since Home originally came out.
I hunted WISHMAKR Jirachi in 2014, it was awful as the exploit to do it faster was not known then, but I did eventually get it, but that's not the part that makes it my most cherished pokemon. I wanted to transfer it to XY when Pokemon Bank came out and I remember when I tried it was flagged as hacked. It was supposed to be shiny locked but there's a bug that makes it possible to become shiny. I emailed the pokemon company asking them if there was a work around and they said that they didn't know anything to help at the time but to check back in a few weeks after a few updates and see if it transfers, and it did. Now I know this is probably just a coincidence, wishful thinking on my part, but there is a non zero chance that I am responsible for the patch that made the Shiny Wishmaker Jirachi able to be sent to Bank.
Only the demo disc gave away zizgagoon, connecting to another cartridge or to the game cube games did not gave away zizgagoon. It did patch the game tho. Also, the patch can be done as many times as you want, since the patch is not really a software patch but a patch on your save file. The story is a bit complicated but let's just say that after a patch your game will eventually hit the issue again and It would need the patch again.
I never heard of that particular CoroCoro Mew saga up until now. It was a really interesting read, thanks for sharing! There's also the YOSHIRA Mew, which was distributed in English and has been backed up with a few instances known to exist, including a distribution cartridge.
By the way, you don't actually have to register all 1025 pokemon in pokemon home in order to recieve pokeball magearna. You only need all pokemon up to the sword and sheild dex. Thankfully that is the case or else I would have to wait for a Walking Wake/Iron leaves raid event to get it.
I'll leave this pin for anyone reading this. I do apologize it would seem you're right, I was told by a friend who recently got it you needed all 1025, but I don't know which pokemon they registered last, but that's entirely on me, thank you for bringing it up though!
I had a non shiny Jirachi from the bonus disk that i transferred up to platinum. I don't have them anymore unfortunately, but unlocked some memories. The link cable was cool, a few games used it that i had. I also had the GB player but i didn't use it a whole lot.
About the Mew, another way was with flashing the cartridge rom to your computer with the GameShark V2 connecting your Gameboy to your pc through the parallel port (old version of printer port).
Oh no not the spotless Spinda, I spend waaay to much time as a kid trying to get one in Sapphire. I also cried when my battery run out on Crystal, I had a complete Pokédex (minus Celebi), I really loved Gen 2. The battery could run out on Gen 3 too, except the game didn't delete your safe file, only timed events like growing berries or the tide change in the shoal cave stopped working if I remember correctly.
during celebi's segment you mention that it's impossible to transfer gen 2 to newer games without illegal shenanigans, _is there even_ that option? i thought it was completely impossible
There is! There is a way to save your save file over to your computer and then use pkhex, it's essentially cloning, and not the actual pokemon however. There is also a new homebrew method that uses a flash cart, but I'm not too familiar with it
It's possible, but kinda a nightmare on original hardware, and yeah, shenanigans with 3rd party software. I think there have been like, 3 major methods people have came up with.
I bought a copy of Japanese White from a local game store and it had something that's kinda rare and seems legit its a shiny Rayquaza from a event Nobunaga's Black Rayquaza that only happened in japan it was distributed to commemorate the release of Pokémon Conquest It was available from March 17 to April 16 2012
My ruby and silver batteries still work. They are original. I live in the in a hot aired climate so they don't corrupts as quickly with humid climates. I do not have a celebi tho lol
@@bireland2012 I'm not sure, but internet says you're right. You need every mon up to Eternatus, which is a nice thing for a change. It also says that you don't need to have a living dex at Home to get it anymore.

The idea of the Poke park not being popular blows my mind. Imagine if it was open today
EXCELLENT video! Keep them coming

I still have those emails saved too.
@@Zepimo123 I absolutely love this!
@@Zepimo123post the emails on RUclips with an explanation, become part of Pokémon history!
You were the real Wishmaker all along 🥹
Once the Tanabata Jirachi got released in August 2014, all shiny Jirachi became legal in Poké Bank.
I shiny hunted the WISHMAKER Jirachi and it took me 3 months!!
I also Shiny hunted Lugia, Ho-oh, Mew & Deoxys in Emerald using a warp glitch!

I remember it was easy for me to get Magearna because I already completed my Dex in Pokemon Bank, which synced over to HOME

You sound like the guy with the hat from Bojack Horseman (in a good way)
I need to look into this LMAO
Magearna is one of these Pokémon that will be increasingly worse to get cause they keep adding more to pokémon to the dex.
In all honesty, I think that was the exact point behind it when they Introduced it I to HOME
Don’t you only need up to gen 8 completed? I haven’t gotten it myself but I thought that was the case.
