Thanks! Do you think I should have (as now) 3 separate Playlists for Charlie, Warren, Ben Graham, and for Berkshire meetings, or just a single list that plays through them all?
1:10:04 Mars Candies 780 Billion then, closer to 1 trillion today. That's my guess. No one really understands the cash they have but their employee retirement is fully funded for the next Century.
1:39:14 In God We Trust Here Warren says it should read "in government we trust" I disagree, the reason why it is "God" is related to trade between two individuals. When we hand over a note or receive a note, we are not trusting the government, we are trusting in something, we do not quite comprehend, that thing is named "God". The same goes with any trade. We do not trust government, but rather the integrity of humanity.
1:42:40 isn't that just the exact same as Berkshire Hathaway shares? They dont give you anything and the only way you make money with them is if someone else buys it after you.
Berkshire businesses have intrinsic value. They or at least most of them have utility and give value to society. Unlike for example diamond which in itself has no value or utility one can argue.
It’s not the exact same because owning shares of berkshire is owning a productive asset which actually DOES something. Have this debate with anyone who has owned shares of berkshire or coca cola for the past 50 years and at the same time has owned gold or diamonds for the same period and find out which has actually performed and which just basically sat there. The productive asset performed.

@1:15:00 - lesson in perspective!
Imagine if instead of plowing billions into a mediocre utility business, the money was just put into Costco and/or Google.

around 3:17:00 Charlie talks about the Value-Line charts
