Hey from up here in Canada! Just bought this boat and the same 6s spektrum battery bundle you use. New to the RC boating world so I have a question. How long do the batteries take to charge and do they have to cool down before charging again? Thanks for the help!
Drew, that all depends on what charger you are using. The batteries themselves don't really "need" to cool down, but it never hurts. Check out this article: www.horizonhobby.com/blog-wattage-vs-amperage.html
What make of lips batteries are you using and what make of charger? I’m looking to get that boat and want to know the best battery/ charger combo for this boat. Where did you purchase everything
I need support, I have a sonickwake so far I have swam without sticking the tape on the flap and you know after turning over the water is inside. yesterday I taped the tape and after 1 turn I would say that the same amount of water was in the middle, where the water gets ?? if the boat does not capsize, there is no water.
@@horizonhobby what are the best batteries that you recommend for it? I bought 2 power hobby pro limo 5200mah 50c 3s 3cell 11.1v batts but Im told there not good for it? tell me what you recommend?
@@DronemanJoeRc Anything that is rated at 50C or higher "should" be able to deliver. That being said, all manufacturers rate their batteries differently. It's worth trying what you already purchased. If they can't deliver the power output, the boat will jump into LVC mode even on a full charge.
@@horizonhobby ok I will give them a try and thank you for responding my friends but I think I would like to get those smart batteries they seem to be the best? with my spektrum s2100 charger I just got from you.
We recommend a pair of 50C minimum 5000mAh 3S packs. We use these 100C smart packs: www.horizonhobby.com/111v-5000mah-3s-100c-smart-lipo-hardcase--ic5-p-spmx50003s100h5
yea, id just like mine to run more than 5 min without trashing the prop shaft, stuffing tube and losing the prop....should be a really good time after i figure out how to make it actually work....was the designer previously a weather forecaster? bc in my job, you fu*k up, your out.... lights tho...yea cool. ill know where my boat is dead in the water....yay
Just got this boat it’s awesome. Running 6S

Spektrum smart charger
Are there going to be any improvements as i see a lot off the hull's splitting on the seem
I have this boat as a hull only trying to build with old boat parts any tips you can provide

We use 50C Spektrum Smart batteries. Here is a link to them with a charger: www.horizonhobby.com/product/smart-powerstage-bundle-6s/SPMXPS6.html
How long could I expect the batteries to last on a full charge?
Guys, I have an sr80 and want some orange leds, but not sure how to run the lights on the top and wire it in to connect the battery
What prop would you suggest for a bit higher top speed without causing excessive heat and killing the run time?

Can you give a link to the spot lights and light bar? I am looking for some for a plane.. Looks good like to see at night on the water.

@@horizonhobby and if I do by the smart batteries which would you recommend for this sonicwave 36?
Awesome video like always
Yes, curious if you did a followup video at night. Very cool idea.
Is this up-gradable? What batteries do you recommend starting out with?

Awesome I did same with mine, but I can’t wait to see yours at nite
What i still don't understand why the designers make this hull in plastic instead the very nice proboat fiberglass
Not a fan of the lights but the boat is off the charts especially when you hook up a Dual Rudder Pick to it and stick on there a Dashboata Prop!
that was Awesome!!!
Deffo grabbing these when I grab a sonic wake then 😂😂
That's good!👍
... maybe show us in the evening or at dusk ?!?
Sorry but lights on a speed boat, got to go in my options unless your trying to impress someone for some odd reason.
He probably just likes it with them bro... 💯
I got as far as the lights
