I put 1K miles on my G30 over 2 year and then nervously bought the G2 a few months ago. It took a few weeks to get used to the shorter deck (I'm 6'2") and the added height, but I very quickly loved it. Now when I go back to the G30 it feels like a child's toy! I never felt that way when I had it, but there is no turning back for me. The added range and 22mph is just so close to ideal that I don't feel there is anything better with the same reliability and those amazing tires that set your mind at ease. I just wish I had another 2-3 inches of flat deck to stand on :)
Yeah, I like it too but don't like problems with front suspension.
😂 The deck is longer on the G2, liar!
@eScootTalks
Some report that the front suspension leaks oil after a while.
Don't release an unproven product!!!
What a shame.😮
@8_x_9. Yes, I know Im keeping an eye on problems and will be making more videos about it. Any updates on problems you can share here or email it to me. Thank you so much for sharing info.
@ well unfortunately after 400 miles,, on the clear day with no obstructions and on perfect asphalt… I flipped over the handlebars. Broke my elbow after three months. I’m back on the scooter. We replaced it because the front fork was bent. It was very shocking to have an accident with no known cause. My only hypothesis is that experimental traction control played some kind of role, but I bought a bunch of safety gear elbow pads, wrist guards, and I’m just driving slightly slower now.
I do ~20km/day to get to work and back, with steep roads, that was the main argument to the G2, it allows me to charge at home with the 3A internal charger every 2 days.
If you want a lighter escooter with a smaller battery, there are already plenty available to choose from ... to stay with Ninebot, check the E2 Plus or F2 Pro, they both have smaller batteries and front suspension.
You can switch regenerative braking off in the app settings
In settings, I only noticed the option to reduce regen braking but not to completely switch it off, so the motor does free wheelspin once you release throttle. But maybe I missed something.
@@eScootTalks at least in my European version you can set it to strong, weak, or toggle it off. If set to strong you barely have to use the actual brake
@Bonnie20402 Yeah, I know, but even when it's off, as soon as you release throttle, the eScooter starts slowing down quite quickly. For example, if you lift the rear wheel, spin the wheel to kick in, hold the throttle for a few seconds, and then release the throttle wheel will stop in a matter of seconds it wont continue to freely spin.
@@eScootTalks that's odd, doesn't happen on me
@@eScootTalks
I drive in the city where a lot of traffic lights, so I try to choose the speed to always pass on a green light to avoid stops and use breaks. This technique saves more energy and travel time without recuperation. This technic gave me a chance to drive two miles longer distance on one charge without recuperation.
Most people want a larger battery and ask me if they can add an additional external battery. Smaller battery would be a downgrade. If you want a lighter one, they should release a smaller version like on the g30 and increase the battery on the larger model.
I would recomend to deactivate the autobrake. With xiaodash fw it is possible and you can adjust everything how you like it. Its a musthave for guys like us. 👍
Smaller battery with 5A charger could recharge in under 3 hours, and that's pretty quick. Range with this battery is already pretty good, so a slightly smaller battery and faster built-in charger would at least to me be great option. Of course, with speed unlock, the range will drop. But let's say 10ah battery and fast charger, and in an hour, you recharge around 50% for 10-15km range. I'd say that would be a good option. Im not aiming for custom firmware here because I've seen way too many bricked controllers, so Im looking for a good option with stock settings far average users.
I rode the Ninebot with the indicators and it was something new to me
Yeah, Indicators are brilliant. Do you know which model is it?
@ it was an F2 Max that I hired at Port Douglas
@matthewdenham7398 yeah, thanks to Ninebot Indicators are becoming norm in eScooter industry.
Loved the original G30. This looks great too. Good video.
It's the same with more and advanced features.
Thanks for good analysis.
welcome to the club soon :D im not updating software in mine... it goes 33-35km/h without issues
Mine had a loose internal charger, screw was completely missing.
If you hear a rattle, check it!
I returned it and decided to wait for a while until I see will there be any upgrade on front suspension before I buy it.
Greetings from Russia. I've been watching your channel for a long time. I sincerely don’t understand why there are so few subscribers. I wish you success and growth. I also have my own channel and am interested in electric scooters like you. In most cases my opinion is 100% identical to yours. Sooner or later, people will get tired of looking at beautiful advertising video reviews of other bloggers and they will come to your channel to know the essence and useful information. I consider you a specialist in the field of electric transport, the main thing is not to stop.
Hiya. Thank you for your lovely comment. Viewers like you keep me going on. Im also sick of "everything is perfect " reviews. There is a need for more criticism otherwise industry will never improve. Ill check your channel.
Mine broke down after rain. Their quality control has gone down.
Oh, really? Broke down in which way?
Okay?! I mean... i drove mine through a deep puddle and even my feets were underwater. I was often driving in heavy rain and it never had issues.
bs 😂
Does it have zero start (no need to kick to start) feature?
I dont have it with me anymore so can't be 100%sure but I think it doesn't. I'll be maybe getting it in the near future so I will for sure make more videos about it.
@@eScootTalks Thanks
If you get an update V1.11.0 has a bug so better not update till they don't fix it motor is constantly braking after 32 km/h on cruise control so you need to hold all the time throttle but you still getting braking on 35 km/h.
as a heavy rider what psi do you recommend it says on the tire 55 psi but on the manual 48psi..what do you recommend I'm at 50psi right now
I always follow what it says on tyre. More psi means less resistance, less heat, and more range.
@@eScootTalks thanks with the new firmware update now it eats up my battery even more if i turn on boost and i kept the tire at 53psi im over the weight cap for the scooter
Who the hell would want a smaller battery? That is just foolishness. I have to travel alot and I need the power to last so I can complete my journey without the scooter battery dying to quickly. The current battery size and power on the Segway ninebot Max G2 is perfect as it is. I currently own a Ninebot F30E which has a small battery, but I will upgrade to the Segway ninebot Max G2E. If you don't like the weight of the model escooter that you have, or the one you want to get, just choose a different model. But don't expect the brand to downgrade their designs and dismantle their innovations to suit the needs of an old man. Get a grip. Most people won't be lifting and carrying their scooters upstairs, most apartment buildings also do have lifts. If you are going to purchase any type of motorised vehicle you must ensure you have some where safe to park it. I park my escooter in my living room, and I have carpets. I clean it with a damp cloth after use so my carpets won't get messy and I regularly vacuum. I love it and it helps me to get around for work, shopping and leisure, so I have to compromise to reap the benefits these wonderful machines offers to none drivers like myself.
This is your opinion, and I respect it, but loads of eScooters don't get sold because they're too heavy to carry. For example, I know loads of girls that are home carrers and eScooter is perfect mode of transport for them bu too heavy eScooters are not option for them. People are different, and their needs are different. Ninebot Max is the best ever made eScootet, and I just gave my suggestion. Don't get so upset over a video or eScooter. Mind your heart, stress level, and blood pressure.
@escootIreland Your opinion is fine, as an opinion, but not as a recommendation, as clearly hinted in the video regarding the hopes for the G3. I have also worked as a carer in the past and now running a business, that argument is not valid because there are lots of different scooter manufacturers and brands to choose from including my current escooter which I clearly stated in my response. Lots on the market to choose from with various weights, so no need to stress about how heavy the ninebot Max G2 is. My current Segway ninebot F30E escooter feels heavy when folded and lifted to carry, but it is still portable. I think if you are going to purchase a vehicle like these escooters it is best to have the mindset of a person who is going out to purchase a motor bike. You don't lift bikes, so plan carefully before you choose an escooter and research the brand, battery size, weight etc.. A time ago women were not allowed to join the army, go to school or even go to work. But now those women who are big enough, bold enough, strong enough and fearless enough are now doing those things aided by current legislations within my country. In the same way, female carers must choose wisely when deciding on their mode of transport and it's specifications. I'm sure busy business men and women who travel long distances with the aid of escooters wouldn't be impressed if their right to purchase a powerful, long lasting battery powered escooter was hindered by a bunch of female carers who are complaining about their escooters being too heavy to carry. When infact, there are currently endless numbers of lighter models from a multitude of brands to choose from. Moral of this story? Don't but it, if you cannot handle it. You enjoy your day.
@retronostalgic8515 Well, I just said what I would like to see on the next generation. Lighter eScooter will do a good range on smaller battery. I just did a test on Navee V50 and got over 30km on a single charge. That eScooter, if it supported 5A charging, would recharge in 2 hours. Also, fast charger can be fitted without heavily reducing battery size. Also, it could be a lite version of the same eScooter the way Xiaomi did it and Inmotion. As I said just my opinion what I would like to see on the next generation.
@escootIreland Psl, I'm done talking to you now. You seem as if you think your opinions, which you have recorded and posted on the Internet, are entitled to be exempt from criticism. However, democracy within my home, beautiful country here in England, determined otherwise. My points still stand firm without change. Whether you like them or not. You have a good day, dear. Chow.
@retronostalgic8515 I didn't disrespect your opinion, but you seem to have a problem with me sharing my opinion. If you want me to respect you and your opinion, you need to be able to respect me and my opinion. I just think that some changes would make it more popular to a wider range of consumers.
Hello! You do a very nice job, on the videos! I'm interested in a beginner's scuter, I live in a hilly area, for up to 5 km a day.. and it's not heavy, and not too expensive! I was thinking about the Vsett8.. or the one from the video,or which one do you recommend? Thanks!
greetings from Croatia😊
Hiya. For hilly areas, I would rather go for a dual motor, but im not 100% sure about Vsett(one went in flames in Laniste, Zagreb) and their water ressistance is IPX4 or something really low so with summer showers in Zagreb I'm not sure about it. If its slight hills, then Ninebot will do the job, but there are increasing reports on their problems. Of course, we can't take those reports for granted either because we dont all ride eScooters in the sane way. My top brands are Xuaomi, Ninebot, Navee, Inmotion, and Pure. Inmotion Climber might be a good option for you. I still haven't tried it out, but my friend has it, and I will get my hands on it at some stage soon.
thanks for the quick reply!😊
@irenavenera3126 if you need any more help, there is a whatsapp link in the video description, so feel free to contact me directly.
ok, that's nice! Thank you!

Is it road legal in Ireland?
No but i don't think so someone will stop you if you drive normally
Unfortunately, not, but Im working on some things regarding legalisation restrictions but can't reveal much.
@@eScootTalksCan't wait for your colab and a release with Navee regarding this escooter.
