I weigh 175 and I've had no issues at all with my G2 and I love this Scooter and it feels fast enough. The weight of the rider must definitely make a big difference in speed. They JUST rolled out a new firmware update to help with overheating and also to shut off regen. I had regen on weak for awhile then on mediumn and have felt the brakes are not as strong. IDK. SO far I have done about 60 Miles in the week that I've had it and paid $999 on Amazon for it. Also when keeping to the far right remember to pay close attention to people in their cars about to open their doors. You can set the acceleration to 0 start instead of having to kickstart.
You're very welcome! I actually did this video because there were a few people who were asking Ginger On Wheels if they would be ok to purchase this scooter being 300lbs and he never answered them back, im guessing its because he is 230lbsnso i figured, maybe I should do one and see what happens. I'm glad i did. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.
You know, some french people on a forum were discussing if the G2 was ok for a heavy rider and this video helped ! That's the power of internet ! Thanks for sharing !
this is the exact video im looking for, i love scooters and always wanted an e scooter, and i was looking at this model but was right at the weight limit at 265, thanks so much man
Yeah its definitely a bit on the scary side because a car door can definitely open up at random without the driver of the car noticing you are about to pass by but its part of the rules of riding scooters on the street when there are no bike lanes available. I do wish they made more though. 😅
Thank you very much. It means a lot to me to have you on the channel. If you have any questions about this max G2 or the upcoming Inmotion RS i pre ordered which should be here in the first week of december, please let me know and I'll put it on video if you like. Im always open to suggestions as well specially if it will help anyone out with info. 😊👊
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 wow fantastic. Well I'm a big dude. And I'm just looking around for a good all around e scooter. I just wanna know the range and if you think it is powerful enough for small hills. Denmark is flat. But have a bit of hills. Other than that. I'm looking forward to more of your videos 👏
@thomasstorbugt6829 Cool, for the MAX G2, it can handle slight hills. It will just run a little bit slower. Like me, you will definitely want to keep your scooter in sport mode and set the max speed on the app to its max of 22mph, when you go up a slight hill it will slow down from its max 22mph speed to about 15mph depending how heavy you are and how big the hill is and once you reach a flat road it will increase the speed back to 22mph. It's a nice scooter for commuting. Im at 292 lbs right now, and with my current weight, i get 18 miles of range out of the 25 miles it claims it can do in sport mode. That is super impressive to me as a big dude.
I'm a big guy, 300+ and looking for a scooter. This video was great, with normal commuting instead of every other channel speed-racing and off-roading. The funniest thing is that you complained about the miles vs km and f vs c degrees. It's practicality just the us and like 3 countries in the world still using miles and Fahrenheit, time to catch up with the rest of the world us. Great video, and keep it up with the weight loss. The struggle is real. It's not easy being a big guy. Nothing fits like it should, not even an electric scooter.
Right on! Thank you so much for the positive feedback. About the temp in Celcius and miles vs. kilometers, i wondered why we are the only ones still using this method, lol! 😂 and as for the weight loss, thank you, man. It's been hell, but I've been keeping up. Im finally at 298 lbs but still have a long way to go. The MAX G2 is a great scooter for commuting, and i still recommend it.
Thanks man , an excellent review, gave me insights that i really needed to pick a scooter, because of this video I've ordered one since im kinda heavy and need to do long distances, also people here are wonderful sharing there weight and results .
Love the video I will definitely get one now after watching this real review. I was a heavier person myself before, keep up the great work on the road to the championship. I lost weight by shadow boxing 20 minutes before showering, helped me and I know it will help you 👍🏻
I had the MAX G2 and loved every part of it, but was so, so sad that they didn't increase the battery to 48V. It's so disappointing it loses speed and performance when the battery drops from 50% otherwise it would be absolutely perfect in every way. I've now gone back to the Inokim OX Super which is a 60V scooter. Fantastic review though buddy, it just shows this scooter is for everyone and is a near perfect commuter, regardless of the 36V battery. I would still recommend it to anyone, without a doubt. It's a very, very reliable scooter.
Good point about the regen increasing the heat. Plus your added weight puts more energy into the battery, as your scooter would roll longer than a lighter rider's scooter under the same conditions.
Yep. Its gotten a whole lot better with master control version 1.5.2 and 1.5.3 whay ive noticed is the Torque we lost in this version, we got back plus the regen braking remains off while riding on flat roads, if you go down a steep hill you can turn regen breaking on from the app as long as your phone is connected to the scooter and you have it mounted to the handlebar for easy access, you can just tap on the screen and turn off or on while riding. Very convenient to get some trickle charging in.
I noticed that too about my bayteries that I made. They like short rests. I mainly use a 1.2 KWH 52v battery and can go so far with it, 28mph for 1 hour 30 minutes.
I bought mines when it came out. Im 6 feet and weigh 215. Ride is sweet, scooter is tall enough and I have been abusing it like crazy. Still running strong with no hiccups. Thinking about getting my wife one for christmas.
You're welcome, i figured if a BIG guy like me can get a decent range and really good stability and zero issues with the suspension, then any person lighter than me will have an even better experience. 😁👍
Thank you for giving me the confidence to buy and ride a scooter. I live in Toronto, Canada and I weigh 290 pounds. Everything I need is a 20-minute car ride from where I live. So I gave my wife our car and bought a scooter last week. I got the Apollo Phantom 2024 edition and I'm really enjoying it. It's made here in Canada, so that's like the main reason, as buying things from the states can be tricky for us Canadians. I love this scooter, it's rated to handle my big self and it packs a punch and stops on a dime. I ride it on the sidewalks as I still haven't worked the courage to ride it on the roads yet, cause we have some pretty crazy drivers here in Toronto who show no respect to the people on 2 wheels or 1. But one day, I hope to ride like you...smart, safe and confident. Again, thanks for your video and commentary, as it gave this guy the confidence to buy his very first scooter. Stay safe and have fun.
@velmano9191 thats awesome! The Apollo Phantom is an amazing scooter with great power and pretty good range. I also appreciate the positive feedback 😎👊
Thanks for the informative video and greetings from Bulgaria. I am a 220 pound rider and I got 28km in S mode, in severe cold, mostly flats riding, at -9C. And +7C, I got 37 km, and at 15C, I got 45 km! Unfortunately, due to EU laws, I got the version that is limited to 25 km/h. Your video gave me insight on what range to expect, if I buy the US controller.
@@nasrfarah5691 not yet, still saving up my coins and evaluating different options. I already have an electric bicycle so I'm not in a hurry to land a scooter.
Thank you very much for this beautiful video. I also ordered one of the mirrors, but I noticed that you used a separate fastener. Can you give information about the part you used to fix that mirror?
Hi, thank you so much for the positive feedback. The mirrors were attached to the handlebar of the MAX G2 with the stock mirror hardware. The only other thing i had around the mirrors was the cable for the Alarm/Motorcycle grade horn combo button. The other products installed was the 2600 Lumen LED Headlight and the official Segway branded phone mount. 😅🙏
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 Thank you very much for your quick reply. So you connected it directly to the handlebar with the connection inside the mirror, thank you very much.
I have a ninebot max g30 and have had no problems with it. But there's that need for speed and I want to upgrade to a scooter that at full exceleleration my feet are parallel with my shoulders. Hang on tight don't let go watch out for livestock.
Right on! Yea i belive any slim guy would get at least double the range i got. This scooter is very impressive and did the video as i seen alot of people doing videos on overheating i figured i would do the same and demonstrate what it does when the scooter gives the HI temp warning on the scooter display. 😅
Great scooter and glad it comes with shocks. I had the previous Max and that was my main reason on getting rid of it and upgrade to the Segway P100S. To tell you the truth, I would have purchase this G2 if it came out first. I love my P100S but I don't see myself going 30 MPH on a scooter. I've never unlocked the ultimate spots mode on my scooter. Thanks for the link for the headlight. I ended up purchasing two for my e-bike and scooter.
Sweet! Yeah the max G2 is a pretty nice scooter man i like it alot. I got into an accident with it and only the handlebar bent and the kickstand broke but the rest of the scooter stayed solid. So i got a GT1 to use while i wait for parts to be available for the Max G2. Glad you got the headlights. They are extremely bright and ive only had to use setting number 1 out of the 4 settings it has.
Bike lanes and side walks for me. I live in a city with hills (speed never enough to keep up with traffic), debris on road (windiest city on the planet) and just poor road maintenance (pot holes). Never have to worry about temps of the scooter as i live in a temperate climate. Excellent scooter.
Nice, im currently at 292, i was at 287 but gained 5 pounds after i had a scooter accident slipping over lose gravel, so i wasnt able to work out at all because i was pretty beat up from the accident. Im doing much better now and started to go for my 6 mile walks again, the only bad thing about my slow recovery is that i cant do any weight lifting yet as i get this really sharp pain on my right ribcage when i lift anything heavier than 15 pounds and was told it has to do with my injury so i apparently have to wait a total of 6 weeks for a full recovery. But i will catch up to what i gained and lose that again and keep losing even more weight to stay in better health. 😁👊
You have to treat every vehicle like they don't see you. So many of them at cross walks will just come out and go when it's green for you. Especially when a truck is in the middle lane creeping blocking view of you. I always go slow and wide even when they see me. Then the pedestrians with headphones will never hear the beep so you have slam on your brakes and go around them somehow. I hate my town to many places with no bike lanes and crappy sidewalks. Stay safe.
Indeed, i made the video in response to Ginger On Wheels who made a video in the MAX G2 using it at 22Mph in sport mode and overheated in him. The way i see it is, if someone as big as me can get this much range without it overheating till almost 53C then anyone that is way slimmer than me should have a blast with this commuter scooter. 😎👊
In Germany the max speed is 22 kmh and in the city for example berlin with traffic and people it feels very dangerous for big people. With 22 mph it sounds like suicide mode, i plan to tune my g2 for long empty streets outside of berlin to 35 kmh.
Interesting for us 22Mph is pretty slow and in a way unsafe on the road due to having to share the road with vehicle's and drivers getting very irritated with us for slowing them down. I have a Segway GT1 and a Inmotion RS now to avoid the drivers from getting angry, i still love this max G2 because its very light weight and easy to carry, the GT1 and Inmotion RS are very heavy. 😅
Good video. I have put on a few pounds these past few decades, I'm *cough* big boned. Okay?! LOL I was looking for a video like that. Thank you kindly.
Thanks so much for this review and your effort! It confirmed that i made a good choice for my wife. I got her one today so we can ride together. I ride EUC and once u do, u never go back! 😂😂😂 Peace, stay safe!
Great video thank you. Im 78 years old. A few years ago i weighed 255 pounds. Now at 175. Im on low sodium diet 1200mg a day. It's about the only diet that has worked well for me. Check with your doctor see if he would ok for you. Happy riding 😃
Great Video , You can Adjust the start speed to 0 under more functions menu , so you don't need to kick to start . Can you please add link to accessories on future videos ?
Do you still use the scooter? Did you need any maintenance? How many miles have you ridden? Your video is excellent 👍🏼! Thank you so much for helping us.
@ESTADOÉUMAGANGUEIMPOSTOÉROUBO hi, i still ride it every now and then and have about 278 miles on it at the moment. Since i had an injury on it last year in December 2023, the scooter was in bad shape and needed repair and a few months ago i repaired it myself and started to use it again. As for maintenance i only had to adjust the brake line tension to make the brakes stop a bit better. I also now have a 5 Amp fast charger for it which i started to use and charges in 3 hours vs the built in 2 amp charger taking about 8 hours to fullt charge. 😁👍
Great job on the info regarding this Segway. I believe you said that you bought it at BEST buys. Does the store also warranty it for a few years? And what about repairs? Thanks again brother, you’ve got a great channel. Greetings from Riverside! Good Bless you , this is Alan
Hi Alan, Yep, i bought mine at bestbuy. I pre ordered it online and picked it up at my local bestbuy at Atwater village which is the City of Glendale store. I dont recall getting offered a warranty for the scooter but i didnt have enough to pay for that extra service. As for repairs from bestbuy, i have only had minor experience with an AV receiver that was having HDMI connection problems and they refused to replace it for a while till i had to make threats to sue them on their warranty repair process. The manager at the same store eventually allowed me to replace the receiver for a newer unit and pay the small difference with a warranty purchase as a requirement. So i apologize for not having a proper answer for you when it comes to the MAX G2 warranty through bestbuy. 🙇♂️🙏
Unfortunately no, its an annoying beep that will just keep going until you get home and charge it. I was looking for that in the segway app too but there isnt an option for that. 😬
ty for video man Since I live in Turkey, there was a speed limit, so I removed it with the xiodash application. Do you know if I update the version and it will go back to its old state?
a good solution for the cars behind you, if you can see the cars clearly in your mirror. it's to drive in the lane, more towards the center, the cars will respect you and be afraid of hitting you and when they are close to you you move to the right. I tried this technique and I'm much safer than when I stood completely to the right, it's surprising how well it works
That's really good. Im not sure where you live, but that is definitely nice of the driver to do. Were i live, they dislike slower bicycles and scooter riders doing that and will honk at you or rev their cars to get you to get off the road, lol. This is why i had installed a dashcam on my scooters as well, its just a way to protect myself from drivers incase they cause an accident and flee. Ill have what they did along with their license plates recorded to show to police when they arrive to wherever i may be sitting at waiting for them due to the accident. Ive had way too many close calls to try that. But im definitely glad it works for you. I wish drivers were that polite here.
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 I'm from Montreal and I can tell you that the drivers here are not polite. I even had water thrown from a bottle in my face. here people are crazy, the worst are the young men of 30, when they see a scooter, they go crazy. If they could, they would follow me with their car onto the bike path, honking at me. at first I didn't believe in this technique, it's a cyclist who has an electric bike at my work who used this way of driving his electric bike and it works very well. It's a bit like the farmer who drives his farm equipment on the road to change land to cultivate. he blocks everyone with his presence. and this has the opposite effect, people are respectful and understand the danger of your presence on the road, you therefore represent a threat to them. what is dangerous is to leave the entire road to those who follow you by driving completely to the right, they will pass you at high speed and honk at you knowing that they are in no danger of hitting you. if you scare them by your presence far away on the road by driving in the center of the lane, they will see you as a threat to them, they will therefore hold you in a position of strength, when you drive on the right, they will see you as weak and despise you. consider that the leaders are sheep, they follow those who precede them. the trick is to stop the momentum of the first vehicle behind you and ask it to respect you, once this one has taken you into consideration all the others behind will follow it in the same way. the opposite is also true. This car serves as your protection because it stops everyone behind it. The opposite is also true, if you stay on the right for fear of the cars, all those who follow will try to intimidate you. I live in Quebec, here we are French and believe me there is nothing crazier than French people behind the wheel of a car
@jaym5938 you are very welcome. Im glad this video was helpful to you as well. A lot of scooter companies claim that their scooters can handle riders up to XXX amount of weight but the videos usually shown on youtube are or slimmer riders way under 200lbs. So i figured lets see how it does with someone a little bit above the max weight limit. I think it did fantastic and was even told by segway that the max G2 can handle a heavier rider than 265Lbs but it wont provide as much range amd there are possibilities of the motor or Sinewave controller overheating. For what it is, i think its a great scooters specially if you just want to commute a distance of 15 miles or fewer round trip at the weight i was in on this video. 😅👍
Just to throw my experiences into the mix, male, 5'11", 330lbs. Acceleration is slow, but thats perfectly normal for this class of scooter at our weight. Top speed for me is 21.7, but if its cold out or battery is
@Brobronique under the app, you can select cruise control and set it to the first mode, which allows you to hold down your speed on the throttle and then press on any turn signal button for 3 seconds at the same time as holding down your throttle to activate the cruise control. The other option i dont really recommend as it will automatically do cruise control as you press down on the throttle and noticed it gives me a random speed and there is no way to adjust that unless i disable the cruise control by pressing on the brake handle and then speeding up again until i reach close to mt desired speed. Hope this helps. 🙏
Hello, yes, i mentioned it before i took the max g2 for the spin. It was master control version 1.4.4. I've been riding my Max G2 to run my normal errands under master control V1.4.8 and noticed that the torque has been reduced to the point where it's very noticeable. The speed in the MaX G2 display says its going 22Mph but on the app it says 21.7Mph and wont go any furher, on my Gopro Hero 10 GPS it also says 21Mph so i feel segway reduced to speed and the Torque to slow down overheating. I want to re do the test and record the experience, but this time, I will make the video a lot shorted and still get the results. For me, it hasnt overhrated yet, but i haven't gotten it to 40C and above yet whenever i run my errands in the city. But for sure, the Torque and MAX speed has been slowed down a bit. I would like to try out the Inmotion Climber, but i don't know where i could rent one from here in LA or if that's even possible. I've been seeing great reviews on that one, but it also has a shorter battery life than the MAX G2 and no suspension at all with tube tires for the same price. 🤔🧐
It will do pretty well. Im 287 pounds right now and have been getting 19 miles in sport mode with 48 degree Fahrenheit weather. So i think at 36 degrees Fahrenheit it will do very good. The only thing i did notice on my max G2 was the battery dying a little bit faster due to the colder weather. But if you will be riding less tham 19 miles in total. It will definitely do pretty good.
Oh 1 more little tip, if you have a tire inflator, always keep your tires at 55psi it will definitely help with the range vs the standard 43psi or 45psi. I forgot to mention that in the message i just left.
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 thank you very much. Yeah, I will be going back and forth to work (total 11 miles). I'm just worried that performance will drop as battery percentage drops? Guess I'll bring the charger to work and top it off there as well.
@HelloMyFriend_ ah that should give you some decent speed as well going back home. For me on my max G2 it does lower it self on speed when it reaches the 3rd battery icon which on the app its around 60% it drops from 22mph to 18mph. But taking your charger isnt a bad idea either. Just let the scooter cool down first for about 1 hour before plugging in the charger. It will keep the temp down. 😁👊
I used a handlebar extension for the acrunu light, and the horn button is on the handlebar grip on the left side. Here is a link for the handlebar extension i have. It honestly works very well, and there is zero slip, meaning if you go over bumps on the road, the handlebar extension will NOT move as long as you have it tighten good. Hey, maybe I'm impatient, and haven't watched far enough yet, but how'd you wire up the light like that? I'd be interested in adding accessories to my P100S.
Hi, on the led light i just used the included brackets that came with the led light to attached it to the MAX G2. Since you have a P100S you will need this to attach a Brighter LED Light because of the design of your handle bars. Hope this helps. @jkhsdjkhfjkhh3 correct, it has its own built in battery, it does take about 8 hours to charge but its pretty damn bright and really has a nice wide angle view of lighting. Its 2600 lumens so its definitely bright. I tried doing a night time video but never uploaded the video because my gopro hero 10 sucks with low lighting. It looks grainy and ita just mega crap vs daylight video lol.
@@jkhsdjkhfjkhh3 I got two of the lights. One for my e-Bike and my P100s. I'm still trying to figure out how to install it to my P100s. The handlebars and stem is too thick to install. There's no way I'm going to buy the extend bar for it. Its just too bulky. Not sure if you bought yours yet. If so, how did you install yours?
There are too many Fast and the Furious Scooter videos, there are very few Slow and Cautious videos. If you were to stop and charge the scooter how long would it take to get a decent charge and will it overheat while charging?
The overheating while charging would depend on the current temperature of the scooter while it was being ridden. If you can get a 5 amp charger, it would charge to 100% in under 3 hours, so if you have 50% battery life and put it to charge. In about 1.5 hours or maybe a bit less, you would have a fully charged battery. What i usually do is wait about an hour or 2 for the scooter battery to cool down to as close as 29C as i can get it based on the app info and then continue my ride. The built in charger is only 2 Amps so it takes about 7 hours for the battery to charge to 100% from a really low state. So it would take 3.5 hours to charge from 50% and then you have the cool down period to take into account specially with the built in charger next to the master controller. Inside the deck there is a metal wall between the battery and Master Controller/ built in charger to somewhat slow down the temps of the charger reaching the battery and making the temp higher.

I think you would definitely enjoy it. It's a great scooter, and even now, at my current weight of 285, i now get 18.5 miles and zero overheating. Great improvement with the latest firmware update as well as my current weight. 😎👍 i also drive a car but love riding scooters as it's a fun experience.
Thoughtful & thorough review with pro tips and all. This scooter is on top of my list as well as the segway p100. I like the better specs on the p100 but I do like the subtle & modest look on the Max G2. What are your thoughts given a few more weeks on the max G2?
Very good question, im going to be answering that in the next video im making in the next day or two. There are some small issues i came across with the new master control firmware update V1.4.8 that i gotta bring up which may change people's decision on buying the MAX G2 and just pay a bit more and go for the P100S instead. I will get to work on it tomorrow since is labor day and i dont work that day. 😎👍
thanks for such a comprehensive and realistic review! im seriously considering the g2 and wondering if you would recommend buying an extended warranty and if so any suggestions as to what company would offer the best coverage? also, any idea what a replacement battery would cost if the battery dies?
Thank you so much for the feedback, as for a good dealer offering an extended warranty im not sure who would give the best experience when dealing with extended warranty work or replacement. As for the battery, considering that the previous model G30 has the battery for $349.00 USD ot may possibly cost around $400.00 USD the battery sometimes cost about 30 to 40% of the whole scooter. 😬 but many people had their G30 previous model scooter for 3 years using the same battery and still getting 80% of their original range. So im sure the battery will last for many Years.
Yeah , I highly recommend a service plan . Modern stuff has so many electronic parts that can fail. I have relatives tell me about a brand new stove, Washer, and fridge that had issues in their first year .
I still use a fridge from 1985 . it just has rust bubblez. My old 1990 Civic only needed oil changes and tires. Then I got a 2020 versa , after 2 years the computer had to be programmed. Then the radio and dash lost power. You can buy commercial appliances and classic vehicles , if built right they can be lower maintenance than the new stuff but they will consume more energy . Ultimately you have to choose whether you want reliability or lower energy cost but with higher chance of failure. Another thing you can do is get a new car that's popular and has port injection , there will be plenty of replacement parts at good prices when you need them. Look at the cars that are popular with fleets. Tacoma, Tahoe, Ram . You can also do a bit of research. I was so close to getting a buick Lacrosse but then I saw stuff online talking about the major transmission issues, then I looked at Mini and people spoke about electrical issues. I think the Camry V6 is a great choice, it shares parts with Lexus ES. I would skip any hybrid version unless you live in areas with high fuel cost just remember it's going to be more maintenance. The same goes for AWD models , unless your area has snowy and Icy winters That's just another maintenance cost.
Hi bro thank you for your video. I weigh 286 lbs (130kg) and I'm hesitating between the G2 max et and the f2 pro E. Which one do you recommed ? I notices that the rear suspension suffer a lot when the rider is heavy.
@jacquesjean1694 it does just a bit but its overall pretty good having it close to its max stiff setting on the MAX G2. Infact im now at 285lbs and its been doing much better. In all honesty i think the MAX G2 is an excellent scooter, it may not give as much range for a person my current weight size but now that the Regen breaking can be set to off, it takes a while before it overheats.
Hi! Please tell me, where did you buy the mirrors and the horn? I'm from Moscow and I want to order too. Have you thought about installing a saddle on a scooter? I ordered from the G30 and plan to redesign the saddle platform under the G2 model
Hi, i havent thought about doing the saddle yet. Here is the links to the mirrors and the horn. @@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 and the lantern? Please send us the model and where you purchased it. Have you looked at the link I sent regarding the elementary implementation of the chip and increasing the speed? I sent you another video, did you watch it?
@Brig2009 hi Apologies, but i don't understand what you mean by lantern, what i shared is what i have on this scooter. As for any links to videos, i havent received any but i have no plans in modifying this scooter to make it any faster. It would cost more to make sure i get proper braking for any higher speeds than what the current setup is meant to do.

I bought this a while back and found the stem and handle bar is quite high for my height, Im 5 ft 8. Is that normal? The handle bars reaches my chest instead of being a little lower for a comfortable grip and posture. The scooter is on the heavy side and I was expecting it to be but the height thing has put me off trying to ride it.
Yeah, it is normal, im 5ft 6, and it's about the same for me, but i got used to it. It is a bit on the heavy side at 54 lbs, but i still think it's a great scooter, and the range is pretty good as well for what it is. I hope you continue to ride your scooter and feel comfortable with the stem height once you start riding it more. 🙇♂️🙏
Hi, i got them on Amazon. Here is a link for one side as they are sold individually incase one happens to break, you can order the one that broke instead of a pair. I'm hesitating between buying a Segway PS100 and a Segway G2. but I think I'm going to buy Segway G2, the Segway PS100 is big and reminds me more of my motorcycle than a scooter. If I drive a scooter it's not because it has the bulk of a motorcycle, it's ridiculous. and above all I want to continue to enter grocery stores to make my order
Yeah i would steer away from the P100S i heard a lot of people getting broken stems after a while and the scooter no longer being operational. The MAX G2 is made very solid.
Do you see something in your mirror, or is it vibrating too much to see...? I have a mirror on my helmet very close to my eyes, it's a little harmful to see in front, but the view is really good at the back and without vibration, I tried a big mirror on the ninebot max 30, but it vibrated too much, I didn't let the idea go
It does vibrate a little bit but it is definitely visible. I think in this case what helps is having that front suspension. My only issue about the max G2 is just wanting to have an adjustable front suspension, the rear suspension is awesome the front suspension can definitely use improvement but better than not having any at all. 😅
As a 5"10 and 250 girl dealijg with san Francisco hills ive been between this scooter and the nami klima, biiiigggg price differences between the 2 and both scooters having some type of issue with breaking and the nami klima having a much higher top speed for those hills im quite baffled on which i should choose still
Since you mentioned San Francisco, i would honestly go with the Nami Klima, especially if it has dual motors. I wouldn't want you to be disappointed with the performance of the MAX G2 on hills. It will definitely get you around but not without struggling to go up hills, especially medium to large size hills.
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 thank you so much, the klima is $1000 more than the max G2 that's why I'm asking around so much cause I'll be doing a 6 month paying system for the klima so I really hope that it lasts me long term, another youtuber owning a Burn E for 4,000+ miles has told me they hold up pretty well but those are around the $4,000 price tag even longer for me to pay even with the monthly pay system, I really just need a long term scooter
@angelinalee1374 i completely understand, i think the Klima is a pretty good scooter specially for its price point. Definitely a GIANT upgrade vs the Max G2 i own lol. In most cases with scooters the most thing people worry about is getting a flat tire when you least expect it. So most riders try to buy a spare set should it happen they can change their tire. The brake disc and brake pads usually last like 2k miles or more depending how hard you choose to brake. I personally like to let go of the throttle on my scooter and let it slow down a bit before i apply the brakes. The last thing is the battery life when it comes to how many times it gets charged. I think it will definitely last you a long time.
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 thank you for your help my ma is always so skeptical about online shopping most specially with something with a large price tag but for a big rider it's worth getting a scooter that'll last, with me only working with a $50 allowance every week she doesn't want me to pay 6 months for something that'll break down before I pay it off fully which I have the same fear of. That's why I'm truly trying to talk to as many real owners as I can
@More_BRAAAINS Hi Mike, i got them from amazon. All you have to do is select the left and the right side and add them to cart. Good question, not at all. A regular Class C auto license is usually require for scooters that go over 30 miles per hour and based on what a police officer in San Gabriel Valley told me, as long as i follow the same rules of the road, im good. 😊👊
Hi, im so glad you ordered one. This scooter should definitely help with that. On my weight i was able to do 10% inclines without my assistance but at 15% inclines i did have to assist 5he MAX G2 with kicking my food on the pavement to help it get through it. But i think its an awesome scooter specially being able to handle me lol! I was expecting way less mileage than 16.2 miles.
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 I'm on the calculator bro. 16.2 miles = 26 Km. Hmm... decent if you have an "precent" in the world like we do hehe... Do you drive it on sport mode? Maybe I forgot from the video
@JaffaGaffa hehehe. About the scooter speed, yes it was in sport mode the whole time. I honestly recommend leaving it in sport mode. In kilometers, Sport mode = 35Kph Drive mod =24Kph Eco mode = 16Kph

This is the review I needed to see as a heavy rider. Thanks for posting.

21:09 I hate riding like that, so close to parked cars. I don't think I can handle being hit by a door opening at 20 mph
Yeah its definitely a bit on the scary side because a car door can definitely open up at random without the driver of the car noticing you are about to pass by but its part of the rules of riding scooters on the street when there are no bike lanes available. I do wish they made more though. 😅
One of the greatest review I ever seen. Thank you

Really great testimony. Hope Segway gives you a scooter for this. Just bought a max G2 and it is so fun to ride.

Did they fix the overheating issues? @@THEAVERAGEGUY1983
This helped me so much. Thank you for this honest, clear review.
I noticed that too about my bayteries that I made. They like short rests. I mainly use a 1.2 KWH 52v battery and can go so far with it, 28mph for 1 hour 30 minutes.

Bike lanes and side walks for me. I live in a city with hills (speed never enough to keep up with traffic), debris on road (windiest city on the planet) and just poor road maintenance (pot holes). Never have to worry about temps of the scooter as i live in a temperate climate. Excellent scooter.
It is indeed a great scooter for commuting. Thank you for commenting, i like seeing other rider's point of view. 😎👊
I am 285 and look at me on a F35. Now where is my big belly. There is something odd about my body mass and look.
Stay safe.
Absolutely! I knew i wasnt the only one experiencing that. 😁🙏

Interesting for us 22Mph is pretty slow and in a way unsafe on the road due to having to share the road with vehicle's and drivers getting very irritated with us for slowing them down. Hi Alan, Yep, i bought mine at bestbuy. I pre ordered it online and picked it up at my local bestbuy at Atwater village which is the City of Glendale store. 🙇♂️🙏

I am really hoping to get this one for Christmas!
I hope so too. You will definitely have fun riding the MAX G2
a good solution for the cars behind you, if you can see the cars clearly in your mirror. it's to drive in the lane, more towards the center, the cars will respect you and be afraid of hitting you and when they are close to you you move to the right.
Great review. Thank you

Do they fold flat enouph to fit in the trunk of a mid size vehicle?
@Doorass-uu8nv it does indeed since its not that big.
I want to thank you for this video. All the other videos are by much lighter riders. Gotta hand it to Segway.

@@Mister_MasterzRN awesome! Im sure you're going to love it!
I just got one but how do i do cruise mode??
@Brobronique under the app, you can select cruise control and set it to the first mode, which allows you to hold down your speed on the throttle and then press on any turn signal button for 3 seconds at the same time as holding down your throttle to activate the cruise control. The other option i dont really recommend as it will automatically do cruise control as you press down on the throttle and noticed it gives me a random speed and there is no way to adjust that unless i disable the cruise control by pressing on the brake handle and then speeding up again until i reach close to mt desired speed. Hope this helps. 🙏
The latest firmware version is 1.4.8 which is suppose to manage heating better, do you know the version you ran in this test?
I'm around 280 pounds. How will this fare for me in 36 degrees Fahrenheit? Range and performance wise
Thank you, a very interesting video.
Did you put the horn on top of the mirror? I have similar set up to you . And my acrunu light is all crooked
I got the 25cm version in Aluminum.

@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 Ah ok, so I'm also gathering from this that they are battery powered, separately from scooter bettery?
@jkhsdjkhfjkhh3 correct, it has its own built in battery, it does take about 8 hours to charge but its pretty damn bright and really has a nice wide angle view of lighting. Its 2600 lumens so its definitely bright. I tried doing a night time video but never uploaded the video because my gopro hero 10 sucks with low lighting. It looks grainy and ita just mega crap vs daylight video lol.
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 Haha yup, on my ebike I ziptied a 4000 lumen (26650 cell) flashlight to the handlebars, works perfectly.

Where did you get those mirrors I've been looking for like 3 months I can't find none did you go to a motorcycle shop and get
Hi, i got them on amazon and i put the direct link to everything that is on my MAX G2 in the description. I just checked it too and it works 100%. Remember that you will have the option to select the blue tint on the mirrors or the regular silver tint like my mirrors i wanted mine to look more natural. Hope this helps. Any questions please feel free to ask.
Is it possible to secure this, like to a chain to a bike stand, so you can go into a market or a store to purchase things?
You sure can it just needs to be a lock that can go around the neck of the scooter by the tire. If you use a U lock something like this will help.
