Trevor Bauer has good stats in the Mexican League. Robinson Cano is batting .457 in that league. It’s a far cry from MLB. He’s not the answer, other than as a 4th or 5th starter.
Falvey loves searching for a pitcher with health problems like Mahle, Dyson, Paddack etc. so look in that direction. Falvey could have obtained Wacha or Lugo but he was in payroll cutting mode.
I feel like we will trade away a couple of top 15 prospects and get a guy who will make about 3 subpar starts for the team... seems to be the Falvey way

Two guys we could probably get without giving up too much are Erick Fedde and Tyler Anderson. Nice top to mid rotation names. Eovaldi would be a dream come true cuz of his proven resilience in the postseason and I would start Eovaldi game 1 if we somehow get him

If he can still pitch at the MLB level I agree as you would think he would behave with a little less than half the season left to play. Sign him for the rest of this season with a team option for next year.

The bullpen might stand pat especially with Stewart comeing back. Funderburk could be moved as well as theibar. But I hope they did something to make thier bullpen more robust.
What’s with Minnesota sports so high on Julien? I’d trade him in a heartbeat for a decent starter. I don’t think anyone outside of Minny sports media thinks Julien is worth a damn it’s baffling to me
Trevor Bauer is a 500 pitcher and if he can behave would only cost salary. Kichuchi is maybe the only decent pitcher you’ve talked about and Lorenzen if you think his arm lasts all season.
Judd- Richards blew a save and choked in the 9th last night. Kikuchi gave up 2 bombs earlier. No Toronto pitchers.
I think we have 4 good starters which gets us through the regular season, I don’t think the twins should waste prospects on a mid tier starter or a backend starter. Paddack/Festa/whoever making that 5th start is perfectly fine for the season
If we do anything at all, it would have to be a 1/2 starter or a high end bullpen arm to throw down there.
We do not need a bad whatsoever right now but if they did get one, it would have to be like an all star level bat, or else it would be a waste again
I second all the comments saying Trevor Bauer. However, knowing the ownership group of our MN Twins, we have a better shot bringing in Aaron Judge than signing Bauer 😂

Polands need to sell the team to someone who is interested in winning a championship. Until that happens this discussion is moot
Eovoldi should be the only target, otherwise the only trades that should happen are to bring in prospects for next year as this is not a playoff winning team.
To all the "We need Bauer" idiots in the chat, here's the thing. Regardless of what he did or did not do, one thing is certain: he is an asshole and not someone most teams want in their clubhouse. I don't see many players signing off on wanting someone like that on the team, regardless of ability. Bonds hit .276 with 28 bombs in his last year but no one even took a flyer on him because he's an asshole. Get over it and move on, please.

This exactly. I honestly think it's the people who agree with his wacko beliefs that want him to be signed, even though it's obviously a clear detriment to any team that signs him. They keep bringing up one single case to point to say "here you go, he's a perfectly great guy after all!" while doing everything they can to avoid talking about the other two women who accused him of misconduct, or harassing people on social media, or pitch doctoring, or simply being a guy that no one likes in the clubhouse. I'm glad he's not talked about on this podcast, because it's not worthy of discussion.
@@Sean-ki6qihave you kept up with him? Have you been watching his content? Outside of the bs allegations that have been disproven and multiple accusers being charged with fraud by Grand jury’s. He had the balls to expose the pitchers in the league for the use of foreign substances. He’s addressed his poor behavior/attitude/ his behavior as a teammate. He’s addressed it, reflected on it, and grew up. People can change. His teammates internationally seem to be having a blast with him in the club house. He’s still pitching at an elite level and is keeping up with his training.

The "bs alligations that have been disproven and multiple accusers being charged with fraud by Grand jury's" is I believe at least partially inaccurate if not wholly inaccurate. I don't believe all 3 accusers have been brought before a grand jury on fraud charges, nor was more than one case disproven.
By "had the balls to expose the pitchers in the league for the use of foreign substances" you mean when he criticized the league for banning stuff like Spider Tack after he was suspected of using it after his spin rate jumped well above career numbers? That doesn't sound like a whistleblower to me. I just don't see evidence that he's a changed person, I think he just wants some team to give him a contract. If he had actually done things to change, I imagine some team would take a flyer on him at league minimum(which is what he said he'd play for).
