    Very helpful, the only difference is teh variations in the function between and excel sheet and google sheet. Struggled with conditional formating google sheet.

    Hi, this has been a great video and helped me set up a matrix, however, how would you show if someone is having a half day sick or annual leave?

    Great Spreadsheet. Very helpful. What is the Bank column used for?

      This would be for the days that they were absent that are not sick or vacation.

    How do you writte downwards on the VAC, SICK, BANK cellS?

      On the home tab, select alignment or right click and select format cell and select alignment

    I don't know why but When I enter the letter, it automatically adds the number to the next employee.
    How can I fix that?

      add another line and display the dates. Then select the cells and select format and go to custom....enter ddd

    How can i add two buttons and view 31 days per month? This format but in a calendar mode. Remove freeze rows and columns. Just to buttons prev. next to switch months and keep x and o from this sheet. Thank you

      You would have to copy the separate months to other sheets and keep the whole year to maintain your totals

    Thanks for the very helpful video, for example as for 4 weeks in (working) and 2 weeks of (on break) so how can we deal with this can situation on excel?????

      follow the same steps, Saturday is day number is 7 and Sundays day number is 1

      if you need to enter part -days then I would enter hours instead of days. If they get 7 sick days a year and they work 8 hours then they would be allow to to have 56 sick hours a year

      Barb Henderson sorry i can’t get it, please can you demonstrate to me thru videos? coz i have difficulties on how to create functions with regards on the leave usage (half-day only). By the way, we have 15 days earned leave each for the sick & vacation every year. i hope you can help me with this, thank much in advance🙂
