Hey man. You bought this car from me and my father. I love what youve done and i cannot wait to see how it turns out. Too bad were on different continent's... Id love to ride in that car one day.
The true muscle car connoisseur prefers mopar. They had style that no camaro or mustang could ever touch. Don't get me wrong, a 68 Mustang Shelby Cobra and 68 Camaro SS are not to be compared to dog droppings, but...mopar just has that special spirit. My dream car is still a 71 Barracuda. I've owned a 73 Charger once, but as this man put it, life happens.
@@projectf025 lol I don't know if I'd go that far. I'm particularly fond of the 1969 and 1970 mustangs, they look amazing to me. And I happen to have a soft spot for the Mustang II (74-78) because my first car was a 77 lol but outside of that, yeah, mustangs are generally unimpressive, probably because of how common they are. Every chump who wants "muscle" goes for a mustang it seems, so I can totally understand your sentiment.
Beautiful bride brother!! The 68-70 Charger is my dream ride as well. I will be working for Dodge soon and as soon as I start getting to a good point I am going to look for a Charger body and slowly start working on her
The ‘68 Charger is my dream car too! Not the ‘69 and not the ‘70, the ‘68! It was my first car that I bought back in 1977. I just love so many things about it. Even things as simple as where the ignition key goes. NOT in the steering column like the ‘69 and ‘70, but right above your right leg in the dash. And I love the hood signals. And the round side markers, the reverse lights are even cool. And of course the gas cap! Just so many things and yours is going to look amazing man with that incredible body work and gorgeous black paint. I’m glad you went flat black on the rear. I guess the only thing I would have done if it were mine is I would’ve gone with that same flat black paint in the engine compartment too. But it looks fantastic brother! MOPAR OR NO CAR!
Wow!!!!!! I love your honesty... and how much credit you give where it is due. You are going to have one of the nicest Dodge Chargers on the planet, Bravo.
Great job man, can totally relate to the cash flow determines progress issue, we all can. Take pride in the fact the work is getting done right and your well on your way to saving one of the most amazing cars ever made. Keep up the good work👍🏻
Great car! Keep up the great work. It's expensive. My old car had really hard to find parts that costs twice as much if you have no chore to trade in. I hope to have one of these one day. Not sure I will do this much. I want a resto mod and I want to do everything myself.
You need to put sound deadening inside of car before you do anything else, it insulates, cooler in summer...warmer in winter also keeps out road noise...
@@Tonefiend Project has been at a standstill tbh. BUT as of december 2020, it is moving forward again. Fresh content should be up at the begining of next year! Hows you challenger doing??
Very clean, but I am curious why rear disks? Drums do a great job at parking and clamping force over large surface area. Unless you're planning on racing it, stick with the rear drums. They also creat less drag than disks, so that's some free hp
Any chance you have an instagram page? Would love to see this builds progression on other platforms as well. Since you bought this car from my father id love to see how it comes out.
@@RichardsResto well good luck on that… and good luck for me too I’m buying parts for my 70 charger rt. Unfortunately my build is gonna cost me double if not triple what’s costing you… its extremely solid but I’m putting in some crazy parts vs it’s numbers matching stuff that I’ll be boxin… rather have 750 hp vs it’s original 440 power… keep it up 👍🏻
@@c.wdervin5987 Good luck on that :)! Regarding the cost bit, are you in the US? Because that would be my recommendation if not, get it built there. Im in the Netherlands, meaning that every part I put on this car is already 2-2,5 mkre expensive. Shipping, clearing and import taxes. I had 40 dollar bolt kit cost me 100 dollars before I had it here, in my hands. A buddy of mine did a hellcat swap on his 68, here.. You do not want to know how expensive things get when restoring/custom building something outside the US😂
@@RichardsResto na it’s in the US yet still expensive. I own a 2018 challenger demon so a hellcat swap on my 70 charger rt is not a good option. In my opinion it looks and sounds wrong lol I’m putting in a 540 gen 2 hemi carbureted made by Ray Barton. Already paid a hefty 30k for the engine alone. Bought the transmission a tkx 5 gear manual. Now paying for the Dana 60 after that the brakes wilwood discs most likely…. So all that is a good 50k and I haven’t touched the body yet but thankfully it’s a solid body but no matter how solid it is it’ll cost me a good 25k…. Maybe 30!! I can’t stop now it’s a dream car…
Hahaha a lot of work has been done! But lost the drive for filming every step of the way. Might do an update video this summer, since we are close to being on the road!

Beautiful metal work. Incredible!
What is the name of that tool they used for removing dents? I've never seen anything like that.
Delivering quality work, takes time.
When it's done, you'll have the most desirable muscle car ever built. 👍
Cant wait 😁
Nice! How many hours did they bill you for the rust repair, bodywork and paint?
Geweldig om te zien dat Mopars nog geen 2 dorpen verder worden gerestaureerd.
Thanks for the update Richard! 😃 👍

hey man, where did you get the charger body shell?
What was the hard coating you used on the underside? That black looks great! Single stage?
Thanks! Its called Bodyschutz, available from multiple brands like 3M

Interesting. I'll check it out. Was the black single stage with gloss or did you go over it with clear? Thanks for the response.

Couldn't get the brand of underbody coating you used. Can you share it please.
