Awesome video, Dylan! As a Mopar guy myself, it was awesome to see you restore this car for that family. It really is another member of the family. Happy Easter!
I cannot tell you how much this meant to uncle Larry. Even tonight while we were watching the videos he was laughing and getting emotional. The love he has for Joyce, and the gratitude he has for Dylan and Jacob was so very visible.
This is a beautiful video, Dylan. I've been following Jacob's channel for a while and he has always seemed like a good guy. This just proves it. You both are a blessing to that family and your videos are also a blessing to us. Thank you. Also thanks to Macy for wanting to share the project with us. She seems like an amazing girl.
I love the fact. That your showing her some hands on experience. So she will know how to work on her on the car . So When ever she might need to in the future. .
Dylan man, you really out did yourself on this amazing revival story. You and Jacob have given to this family such a wonder gift, and given us an opportunity to see what real automotive spirit looks like. Folks helping each other and smiling over the love for a car is what the car community is all about. God bless you and your family!
Such a amazing car and a beautiful video. Dylan and Jacob are truly caring and respectful people with a love of classic cars and aren't afraid to put in the hard yards to get the Charger back on the road again.
Dylan, your servanthood and all that helped has truly shown God's love and grace. When the Dad cried I lost it. TY for the smiles, laughter, and warmth to the heart. Dylan when you were face down in the "crime scene" position I was laughing so hard! God bless you my fellow brother in Christ!
Yoga underneath the dash, man I felt that. 60's vintage mechanicing is the story of my youth. You kids have it so easy with all those electric tools, I love it. This is one of the kindest things I have ever seen on You Tube. You always restore my faith in the future Dylan. Carry on!
Love it that you took the time to explain what you were doing to the young lady. Good practice for when you are outside wrenching with your daughter someday!
The history and the stories and memories are what make hot rodding so special. Thanks for sharing this story with the world Dylan! Another great video!!
Love this. Melted my heart when I seen the old man tear up from the joy of seeing a car he loves, start up, and drive again. Dylan, the good Lord has blessed you with a heart of generosity. Keep up the awesome job!
I love that Mopar. The fact that it's running again. Looks awesome!!!!!! And how southern charmed they are and just how humbling country folk is like us north Alabama folk just humbles my heart. Dylan your a great soul sir. Keep up what u do. And I look forward to you and sleeperdude collaboration soon 😂❤❤
This has got to be the best revival yet. A 68 Charger, which I once owned one myself. A history of one owner family keeping it in the family, is over the top.
I love how that lady talks! She sounds like she IS a teenager sometimes! When she took it for a drive I had a huge smile on my face. So American. I love it. Goosebumps.
this has been my favorite rescue vehicle video ever, you had the owners family involved , which made it very special. please keep up the great work Dylan
Did not know how you could top your last revival, but you hit it outta the park with this one! Absolutely love the family backstory include with this revival. In this crazy world of today, a story like this is just what we need. Thank you again. off to watch Part 2...
dylan i've been following your channel for well over a year. i've seen most of your videos and sir i have to say this is the best one you have produced. just absolutely excellent. what this meant to the family is so heart warming.
These cars are just like family members to a lot of people and you guys brought their family member back to life. Its an amazing thing to see. Keep up the great work!
It's nice to see someone who loves a car enough to keep it, but store it properly so it doesn't rot to pieces. Too many folks hold onto things but don't have the ability to store or care for them and so they rot outside until they're worthless. If you want it, keep it well, but if you can't then move it along to someone who can!
It is hard for me to say this I do it with a tear in my eye but you've done such a great thing for the whole family and everybody involved I'm smiling that help good people honestly I appreciate the fact that you would help anybody whether it's getting a lawn mower running or something that significant to a family you and everybody involved I will say I would love to know each and everyone of you be proud hold your head up high a great person you all are 🙏☺️🤯
I learned a lot from watching this video. I just became an owner of a 1968 Charger that I plan on getting restored and I don't know much about old cars so this was very helpful. Thanks!
So cool to see you again Dylan McCool im glad your chasing those dreams it really cool of you helping other people Dylan keep making the world a better place
Dylan, this is exactly why I enjoy your videos. Youve shown great patience and the ideals of what a mechanic should be. To see someone actually taking the time to explain the basics to a young person, in a very concise way, so even the most jaded of us can remember what it is we're supposed to do. Too many times we get caught up in the hour rates and the overall work, we forget what we should strive for. Thank you for being a good example of a Christian.
You hit that right on the head. Worked at a place that didn't do that and was a real mess. This gives me hope even though I am totally burned out on the world of work in this nation.
Hey, what a pleasure to see that '68 Charger getting some TLC to bring it back. Those people are going to be delighted. Thank you for videoing the initial work. They have a gem....I have an old "B" body too. It's a 1969 Plymouth Sport Satellite,(2-door) Sunfire Yellow w/ Black vinyl top, 318cid 2bbl, A-904, 8 1/4" open 2.76 axle, w/ pwr st, pwr brks, pwr win and AC. All factory. Now 54yrs old at 79,000 miles it's not rusty but it's not perfect either. I've had it for 34yrs and I drove it about 3,000 miles every summer except the last 2 Covid Summers. Now I am old, so I drive it all the time. I had to clean my little 2bbl carb after it sat those 2yrs during Covid, cuz some rust from the "shitty gas" (10% alcohol) I'd say must've rusted the tank or fuel lines. Anyway rusty water got in the carb & made it have an off idle stumble, but Gumout spray carb & choke cleaner got it back to perfect. The car turns heads everywhere I go, but it's not a show car, it's a driver. And it drives so well for 54yrs old it's hard to believe. Only bad thing is 10" drum brakes. I had to settle for metallic brake shoes and they need a couple seconds to heat up befor they get around to stopping very hard. Other than that it's such a pleasure to drive. Oh, and I almost plum forgot, it gets 19.7 mpg on the expressway at 70mph running between gas stations. No Lie. ben/ michigan
This is so freakin awesome Dylan, luv it when u guys team up. Luv me a 68 charger 💯!!! Surprised at how solid it is and how it fired right up! My best friend who sadly passed in 2015 in his early 50's had a 68 charger. His dad's friend bought it new then they bought it in like 70 or 71. They used it as a family car until it was parked. My friend restored it with his dad and his dad gave it to him. It was spanish gold with white interior, a 383 and a 727 trans. Right b4 he passed it was put into a storage unit. It was moved back 2 his dads house and put in the garage. As far as I know it's still there. I loved that car and wish there was some way I could get it!!! A very heartwarming story Dylan, awesome of you guys to help the family out! Awesome that the young gal wants to learn about the classics!!!
God bless you boy's for doing this for that wonderful family. Watching Larry walk around the car gave me goosebumps and truly made my heart happy. You guys make a great team and look forward to more videos. Thank you boy's for making this old wrench 🔧 cranker happy this morning. Going to be a good day!
Awesome what you all did to help get this back on the road! I got to see it today at the Music City Mopar Club show in Lebanon, TN Hoping to get my 69 Charger back on the road in a couple of years as well
Wonderful video. Can’t put a price on what this meant to that family for sure, and you and your friends should be proud of yourselves for doing this. Watching this was a feel good experience, and God knows we need a lot of them these days.
I was happy to find out recently, though rare as it is, my Dad's favorite model car he ever owned and the one I remember fondly the most enjoying with him as I was a kid, although it was exclusively Australian built in the 70s, was shipped in small numbers here in the UK where I now live and if I am ever lucky enough to own a home of my own, I will make it my mission to track one down to restore for myself in honor of him.
This gentleman bought the Charger when he was 25. I know the 55 intervening years seems to have sped by faster than that 318 could push this beast. But, in another sense literally a lifetime.

Best video ever. God bless that man, his family, and that Charger.
How lazy you have to be to let a car get to that stage. His not disabled physically or mentally, no excuse. I guess I just hate lazy careless people

You did a solid for this family. And you did it right in there yard. A great video! ❤️💯
You have outdone yourself Dylan. Perfect balance between wrenching and story telling.

Cool! When he took the top off the carburetor! Got to see the floats rise.
Good Afternoon Gentlemen it is great to see you again today and I hope you are doing well and having a fantastic day today 😊 !
Heck yeah man that is an epic find!!
awesome episode! i think the 1968 specifically is by far the best looking Charger, and the best looking Mopar ever made, in my humble opinion
You’re a natural teacher, kudos for that!
