Seeing in real life before & seeing it finished. This video doesn't give this build the justice it deserves. It's a cracking build and so many back breaking days went into this. Fairplay Tony. This is such asset to your growing space. Danny 🌱
Cheers Danny. Yeah a lot of time went into this build and why I never bothered garden this winter
I was expecting you to be helping Tony as he did help you with Polytunnel 😉.
@ibrstellar1080 pretty sure I've helped with his fruit cage, his chicken coop and anytime I've gone there i offer 😁 it's not like that in Wales! We help when we can. It's never tit for tat 😄
We all help when we are able and I am sure Danny would of if I had asked but I had my brother available@@ibrstellar1080
@@simplifygardening I was just pulling his leg😉.
Well done T, everybody needs a shed ... or two ! 🤩
Ha HA yes they do
That gives a whole new meaning to the term “lean-to shed”. 7:30
I know it was so bad but its safe now and saved which is the main thing
Hi buddy
This shed brings back some AWSOME memories…. I remember a group of gardeners from the allotment site sitting in that shed/playing cards with my uncle Terry, while I was attending to his plot lol. I was around 10 years old … that’s how I got into gardening
Very cool Yes it was used to play cards in. Keith the old man who had it used to grow tons in the old days, sadly he crossed over now but was such a great guy
Tony: This is a great lesson on using recycled materials and transforming an eyesore into useful space. Also, I just bought your new book.
Thanks John It just shows with some effort anything can be changed to be useful and safe again. Hope you enjoy the book mate. Check out todays video for the book launch, Dont forget to leave an honest review on Amazon so they start to promote it for me. Thanks for purchasing and supporting me :)
Wow that's a super improvement Tony.. It looks fantastic and I'm sure you will get plenty of good use out of it. Enjoy and take care for now
That's the plan! Thanks
Very impressive! I hope you get decades of good use from it. You deserve it after all that work.
Thank you very much! lets hope so
Do love watching a big build! Great job!
Glad you enjoyed!
Understanding Tony.
When I, my brother and dad were building a house 30 years ago. Bar clamps can add 4 hands to your efforts
I just got to the bar clamp part.lol
Yes Frank i do say about clamps but i didnt have them in the garden and without having to go empty a storage container to find them it was easier to struggle, but you are completely right
Looks good! Lots of square feet to start your plants now in a warm space.
That's the plan!
Gosh you worked hard! Very impressive. I’ve been waiting over a year for my husband to set up irrigation. I may send him over to you for a pep talk 😜
Go for it lol Im sure he would be well impressed with me telling him off for ya lol
Lovely work there Tony. I completely get the insulation on the ceiling, it will work great.
That's the plan! Thanks
Looks amazing, great job and thank you for sharing the process Tony
Thanks for watching!
Still full of admiration Tony. Wish
My man was handy with his hands not just brain. My dad could use both Great job those shelves will be invaluable.
Yeah it will be great to get everything stored out of the way
Great video Tony I know have serious shed envy . Fabulous job 👏👏
So nice of you Thanks
Cracking job tony mare. Looks great. Plenty of grafting done there but worth it for all the new space
Yeah not only that gets rid of the eyesore in the garden
Tony, I think saying it’s a shed transformation doesn’t do what you’ve done justice.
That was a massive piece of work and you’ve done something amazing. Thats a whole new building build, not just a transformation of an old shed 👏👏👏
Well the old building is in there somewhere lol
🐝Thanks for the great video 🌻 amazing upgrade!!
Thanks for watching!

Thank you!
Omg. I can't believe I've been following you for a few months only to now find out your brother used to look after my dog when I went on hols. He's such a great guy.
I really enjoy your channel too, Tony.😂
Also , I stumbled across through the grapevine yesterday and had a great laugh, I will be following that too, from now on. ❤

Wow Tony what a fantastic transformation, well done, thanks for sharing, Steve Colwell
Glad you enjoyed it cheers Steve
Awesome job🎉
Thank you! Cheers!
Cracking job, Tony. My sister walked in half way through the shelf build and wondered why you were building bunk beds in your shed!
On the bright side I have somewhere to sleep if Tina ever locks the front door on me lol
Well done you, can’t wait for more videos of what you are going to do on your plot
More to come!
Hi Tony. I just looked at the sample of your new book it looks fantastic so just put in pre order via Amazon here in Aus. Looking forward to reading more. Cheers from Avril in Tasmania
Hope you enjoy it! Dont forget to leave me an honest review on Amazon once you get it. Thanks
Moved to a new build a few years back ,miss the construction in my old house ,great to watch you work and adapting building as you go along . Materials are expensive nowadays ,scrounged materials for the allotment are few nowadays .I have preordered your new book can’t wait to read it ,all the best to you and your family ❤️❤️
Yeah they are it’s why I salavaged a lot and had some left over from the studio it’s always handy to keep especially wood
“I have some plans”, famous last words.
😂😂😂😂
Fantastic transformation, mate! Great video to show how much effort you put into it.
Cheers Scott. Amazing how much work it was but at least the shed is a gd useable space now
Great video and thanks for clearing up something I'd been wondering for a while.....I wonder if he's related to Walter! Met him in his shop a while I was down in the valleys.
I used to own the shop next door as a the studio
looks great
Thanks
Looks awesome tony! A very fine box indeed 😜
Looking forward to getting my copy of the book!
Hope you enjoy it!
Taking on work done by someone else somehow always creates unexpected issues. It's a temperate rainforest zone here so using those pieces of ply wouldn't be much good. Moisture would immediately rot it.
Painting all surfaces is what we must do to have anything wood stay in one piece.
Shelving looks nice and deep, with structure strong.
Much better than what was there.
They are 2 ft deep and they are measured off the trays I bought so the shelving was built to them. It gets very wet here but as long as you felt things and allow other stuff to breath it will last. at least as long as I need
What a transformation Tony, it might of been a pain in the arse to do it all but at the end of the day it will now last for a good many years and obviously it's going to make your work at the allotment much easier.
l'm not not sure why you left the uprights on the second shelf sticking up, but if you cut them to the same height as the shelf it will make it much easier to store things on it, unless you have left them for a reason?
What you dont see in the video is that they have cross beams fixed to them for lighting that will comme later
bad idea with insulation, unless you ok with rotted roof. Condensation will happens like in old shed, but will hold longer, because insulation material be holding moisture. If you want to get rid of condensation, just make simple ventilation.
P.S. sorry for bad english.
condensation will only happen above the felt as its insulated below. im sure time will tell and if I have to pull it down i will
I love what you do Tony, but I dread to think how much you have spent on what you do, way beyond my pocket.
Yes I do spend a lot of money, but this is my passion. dont forget you only need to use what you wanna use, im making videos for everyone. one person might like to know how to rebuild a shed while another doesnt want a shed, so I have to cater for everyone. it doesnt mean everyone has to do everything i do. If nothing else its here to spark ideas and imagination
@@simplifygardening thanks for the reply
👍
this looks quite dangerous! I don't think I'd have attempted an in-place repair, but rather a careful demo then rebuild.
I didnt want to demo because of the coldframes, pergola and shelving behind. it came out well and safe now though
@@simplifygardening of course, I understand why you did it, but I wouldn't dare. :D
Hi tony where can i buy your book from Andy from Pontypridd
Hi Andy. all books stores will have it Amazon but this link will give you m,utiple options geni.us/SimplifyVegGardening
a problem might arise in future looks like U missed the VCL (vapor control layer) on the inside of the roof
There is felt below the tin sheeting it should be fine it’s only thin if not
its all about condensation inside the roof space there should be a membrane directly under the thin ply liner
