Was Pokemon Journeys Good, or Bad?
I found it ok its not to bad has some nice gimmicky videos but bad fillers overall its ok

Better than sun and moon... I felt like after Xy, Pokemon down graded. Pokemon journeys is at least goodish. Xy and below were super good however. I hope the new Pokemon show is an upgrade. Can I get a amen?

The battles in this series weren’t good. Not only were they incredibly static and disjointed but they were just ash getting battered for 10 minutes and then one shotting his opponent, especially in the masters 8☠️. Definitely the worst battles since the original series.

@@SuperPlacido1 I can’t really elaborate much further. They just felt very off to me and a big let down. Without the hype they’d be awful.Even the original series had better battles.

@@SuperPlacido1 I’ve already said that. They were slow and just involved ash getting destroyed until he one shots his opponent. Not only that but they lack spectacle or good animation for the most part. I really wish it was good but it wasn’t.
@@MackieBricks Yeah crativity and flow was leser than near any series. Its lots of near static move exchanges almost like its turn based like games and not flowing like anime should be.
Sinnoh was the best saga ngl (XY and Alola are close), it had everything - Great rivalry (Paul and Zoey having their own development), good growth for the main characters (Ash and Dawn) where they had their own highs and lows, their Pokémon had great personality development too especially Piplup who literally cried because Ash, Brock and Pikachu were leaving Sinnoh after the Sinnoh League ended.
Journeys would've been better if Goh didn't come across as a Gary Sue, plus if catching Pokémon and learning more about them/Project Mew was the goal for second main character anyways then Gary would've been a much better partner for Ash during the final series since it would give us a chance to see Ash and Gary's friendship to develop properly instead of going with the "Oh he beat the cocky kid in the tournament so they are friends now" troupe

I have to say I COMPLETELY agree with everything you said - except for the fact that Alola was good. Alola was so not it.
The best to me was Sinnoh with Dawn, then Hoenn & Kanto with May, and then the earlier seasons only because Misty’s personality and her VA were the best!
I absolutely despise all the seasons after the Sinnoh league because the new animation is weird and the VAs have this very extra … unnatural tone in their voice - it’s just too cringe.
The only good thing about XYZ was Ash’s Greninja and the Kalos league battles. I could write an essay about how awful everything else was - especially on Serena. She only started her journey to be with Ash, and at the end of it, you might think she changed and found a meaningful purpose, but right before she leaves him she goes all, “You’re my ultimate goal!🤪😘”
I so wish Ash had won the Sinnoh league with his Pikachu, Charizard, Sceptile, Infernape, buizel having evolved into Floatzel, and Pidgeot.
The fact that Brock left to go become a doctor was acceptable, but I wish they continued the series with Ash and Dawn because their friendship was so funny and just awesome! I wish they’d show Dawn winning the Hoenn/Kanto grand festivals and Ash beating the elite four and champions.
I also wish that as they continued the series with Ash and Dawn, they’d actually have them gradually grow up into strong adults, strengthening their brother-sister bond. Sinnoh was my favourite for so many reasons, and one of them was how Dawn and Ash cared so much for each other but in a completely platonic way.
I would be perfectly happy if Pokemon would end with Ash marrying Misty.
I don’t want them to bring Ash back as 10 year old boy, he’s been 10 for decades! I want to see him grow! Grow into someone as cool at Flint from the elite four, except be a champion.

Eh I think James should have been the one to catch an impidimp while Jessie had Hattena. They are like counterparts of each other

@@eljordinio7647 Indeed we had this idea when they used the Rocket Prize Master for the last time when they had Morgrem and Hattena respectfully. Cramorant would have also been useful to catch Pikachu
Journeys is the first series since sinnoh i watched weekly. It made me go back and start watching old series

MY personal opinion is it wasn't.......terrible......just disappointing.
Most of my issues come Easily from Goh. He was an obnoxious, arrogant, Gary Stew that I'm supposed to believe is able to catch pokemon super easy (the show completely got rid of the whole battle the pokemon to weaken it so you can catch it) and LEDGENDARY pokemon after only being a trainer for a couple months?
AND he can battle as good as ash? Oh and he Stright up stole Grokie.
The other factor that I was disappointed was the Gallar reagon got SCREWED. Sword and shield had so many interesting gym leaders in characters and even Leon was basically non-existent in Journeys despite being Ash's Big Goal. And with the gallery Jen doing the gym battles in such a very different in specific way we also didn't get to see a shoes dynamaxing so it's like Pokemon knew that people didn't like sword and shield and just gave up on making a cool anime for it despite all the great potential. Oh and OF COURSE freaking Goh catches Etertinis because why freaking not.
I also agree that Ash got the shaft this season as well. The first season he didn't even get ONE of the new Gallar starters....no again it GOH.
I swear freaking Goh was a lead creator of this seasons own personal fan fiction self insert Mary Sue OC.
That's because the series was about Goh, not Ash. And Goh existed solely to get people to spend money on Pokemon Go. Pokemon Journeys was not really an anime season, it was an advertisement cum infomercial.
That was exactly how I felt.

I honestly think it ranks as low as BW, maybe even below BW. Does it have good moments? Yeah. But it failed in so many regards, such as Goh, the filler episodes, the disjointed nature, the treatment as Ash's sendoff series, Team Rocket's treatment, Galar being screwed over, the treatment of Pokemon, and Chloe.

Goh was wonderful, there's no filler or disjointed nature, Ash's sendoff was amazing, TR, pokemon, Galar and Chloe treated very well. Journeys and BW were both so so good

You basically sums up the entire show completely. Honestly, in my opinion, I blamed the writers and the producers for doing a terrible job in Journeys of creating Goh and Koharu who are the worst traveling companions for Ash, useless fillers episodes, pointless plot, and they did a poor job with Ash and his Pokémon. I can not believe that this is Ash's last adventure. Its sad Ash is leaving the Pokémon anime, a part of me is glad that he's finally retiring, and a part of me will miss him because he's a part of my childhood. Sometimes I think. What is he going to do now since his adventure is over? Also, they could have done a better job of giving him a proper send-off in his last adventure instead of making a fan service show. Kind of like that Pokémon: Aim to Be a Pokémon Master, which I hope this show will be a proper send-off for him.

Anipoke isn’t really about what ash’s catches it’s about the wholesome adventures and the friends he made a long the way and I really wish you guys would appreciate that more because you’ll miss it when it’s gone

@@madnessarcade7447 Unfortunately, too much filler is a problem with evidence to back it up. Also filler is a thing in story design and I'll explain why.
When you hear a story what you are supposed to be getting out of it is essentially this, A character starts in one frame of mind and ends in another with this transition being explained how they got from point A to point B. Due to this, most episodes you need to have some sort of character development to further the characters journey from A to B. Episodes that fail to have any character development or plot progression are dubbed as filler because if you were to take them out the story wouldn't be missing anything.
A once thought filler episode can become non filler by future episodes showing character development from that particular episode, however, if it is not referenced then it can be thrown out.
Overall, this series isn't good I'm sorry to say. There are terrible skill regressions and progressions within this series that make no sense and are entirely unexplained. Episodes 35-36 Ash regresses in skill and gets shown up by Goh who actively avoids battles (this is a major issue in any story at all).
The right amount of filler episodes was done in Avatar the Last Airbender. Within that series each episode had some point of development for someone on the main cast, even on episodes where there didn't seem to be much going on.
Before you say I don't know what I'm talking about, I do. I write videogame stories as a hobby and spend countless hours reviewing events to make sure there are no logical errors within it. Its a lot of work and for me its easy to see where it has been done and where it hasn't.

Objectively speaking it was a bad series. Watching ash become champion felt more like a chore than a next big step in his journey. The side arcs were unfulfilling and no real fan service was given.
In hindsight what really bothered me about Journeys was Goh's catchathon. Sure I did not like it when it was going on, but it aged even worse. A capture has always been one of most monumental events in the series and Goh just all emotional meaning from it. I think the biggest out of universe issue with Journeys is that the creators focused too much on marketing and not on substance. They gave ash such a cool team for click bait, but did not care to give them regular screentime.

To me I love that he has options to chose from instead of not having a full team but would love if he only caught their first stage and evo them up unless they have a branch evo, gender or form/regional variant like floette different colors, having a pichu from his raichu and evo it to alolan raichu and having 2 Oddish to evo into 1 of its evos
Goh would catch lots of Pokémon early on, but later would only catch 1-2 Pokémon per region

I liked the idea of Journeys, Ash’s battles and team. But I had a few problems with them not going to Galar that much and not seeing all the Galar Pokémon. I also didn’t like anything about Goh and Chloe, they were both the worst thing about the series.
ikr I would've liked it to be focused on galar seeing ash catch galar pokemon and fight all the gym leaders there.
Goh and Chloe were fine in my opinion, but they had some major flaws. Goh's goal was definitely a bit too ambitious to be the motivation for a single series, and most of the Pokemon he did wind up catching were pretty pointless in the grand scheme of things. As for Chloe, her main issue is how out of focus she was for the majority of Journeys, and she was clearly not a priority for the writers, either, which made her feel unimportant, which she shouldn't have been as one of the main characters
@@matthewkuscienko4616 almost all humans on the planet earth get that all pokemon anime dubs are the same as the japan dub footage just with different name for the humans and pokemons and with the Japan text and symble and words edited off of building and signs before being aired out side of Japan six months later on
I think it was quite bad but ofc has its moments, galar was one of my favourite generations so it’s such a shame to have that missed out especially when the galar episodes were by far the best in my opinion 😭

I tried to watch it again and it's definitely the worst of all. not worst because it's bad but because of just pure absolute poor execution.

- they didn't care about ash's character, they just casually gave him OP mons out of the gate and speed run the whole tourney
- overused theme song
- ash's plot armor in the masters 8 couldn't be more obvious
- goh throwing balls left and right
- giving goh pokemon he didn't deserve
- goh didn't really have drastic character developement, he still sucks at battleling until the end and still a wimp (even lillie was gone through drastic development in a shorter span)
- they didn't give ash a proper rival (leon was barely a rival to him than bea)
- they did team rocket so dirty
- awful fan service despite the plethora of characters to work with
- ash's team is so bland, lacking of personality (heck oshawott has more personality than his JN's team combined)
- they made chloe the worst eevee girl (she didn't deserve that)

For me worst series of all. I am happy if someone really enjoyed but I just could not. Only things I really liked was past characters coming back, but for most time it was handled poorly, and then the World Coronation Series, really great idea with so much potential, yet they fucked it up completely. Even though I did not like Black and White and it was worst series of all, somehow Journeys was able to overcome it and be even worse. Really was hoping for better last series with Ash.

I think another main problem for journeys was that it didn’t balance story line and nostalgia well. By sprinkling in many short cameos of old characters journeys sort of lost a specific focus at some points. The quickness of the returns also meant that they didn’t always serve their purpose and fans were actually left with more questions than before. I think this made it seem as though Ash’s connection with Goh and Koharu was less strong than his connection with previous companions, as many long time fans were almost more focused on potential returns than the actual storyline of Journeys. I think Journeys would have been better if it had fewer but more flushed out returns and had a more focused storyline that would have allowed fans to bond more with series.

I agree, one of my biggest gripes with Journeys is that Chloe, despite being a main character, was extremely out of focus for the majority of the series; it kinda reminds me of Max, but at least with him, he had a good reason why he was treated the way he was, especially considering they had 3 other main characters to focus on. But with Chloe, the only excuse they have for sidelining her was that the main focus was on Ash working his way up to eventually challenging and beating Leon, and Goh having the goal of catching every Pokemon to eventually get his chance to catch Mew, but in his case, it made the vast majority of his captures feel unimportant since he had too many Pokemon that got mostly relegated to occasional cameos, and I think that these 2 things left too little time leftover to properly develop Chloe. This video also mentioned the amount of filler that was in Journeys as well, and in that context, I feel it could've been better spent giving Chloe more focus and development, but she clearly was unfortunately not a priority, which I think is why she had so much wasted potential

Pokémon journeys is like if it’s good then nothing is better than it. But if it’s bad nothing is worse than it.
I my opinion it really was. I wish Satoshi catched Galar pokemon instead of Dragonite Gengar and Lucario and i wish Musashi catches Chewtle heck the writers even did give chewtle its own running gag with it biting in Musashis hair. But my biggest disapoitment is the lack of Galar and its Pokemon. I feel that if the writers really wanted to make a journey series it should have been a series in a different timeline and let Satoshi have adventures in Galar.
Ash's Lucario, Gengar and Dragonite didn't make any difference to compare them with the previous ones, they are the same Pokémon but cheaper.

As much as I very much agree that the writing was bad and Goh and Chloe were very annoying and pointless characters, one of my main issues with Pokemon Journeys is one that people barely talk about: The butchering of Pikachu's character. He went from loving and respecting Ash greatly to having no respect for him at all and seems to have developed a severe attitude; this is most evident in episodes such as Betrayed, Bothered and Beleaguered and Sleuths for Truth.
One fortunate saving grace is that by the Masters Eight he's back to his old self, being legitimately loving and loyal towards Ash again, seeming to indicate that other people objected to the change as well.
the series 4/10, Goh js has a dumb goal n also havin a 100% catch rate, the literal goal of Ash is to be a champion n it js took him like 0 years with no growth unlike other champions that may work harder and i didnt like the plot armor especially the shining of pikachu, btw Chloe has nvr been important(yes she had her own episodes but it didnt impact anything important in the journeys) and i love Team Rocket but they did them dirty having them no official pokemon for journeys

Journeys as series is good had great moments for returning all of past characters but those trash filler episodes, recaps of M8, and waste of time on Chloe’s character that shouldn’t have been in the series. What saved Journeys was the M8 but lots of disappointments about few of the battles not being great, the writing of characters, and pacing of battles.
Only three out of seven battles were great. I dislike how some of the M8 trainers were done and treated mainly Alain, Leon, Diantha, and Lance. You have this big tournament but can’t make every amazing trainer look good in every battle and one hit or two hit ko’s were terrible on top of that.
What saved journeys for me was definitely Ash's growth, the fanservice, the Darkest Day arc, Ash getting a Lucario like he rightfully deserved, and probably three of the masters eight battles. Both of Cynthia's battles, and Ash vs Leon were amazing to watch
The main thing that annoys me, that they either make things off-screen or explain some aspects with almost nothing. For example, we saw Ash struggling after being defeated by Bea. But then for some reason they skipped the time when Ash went up to Super Class again? Like why?
Or how we could believe that Journey's team could win WCS without showing any signs of training? At the end they tried to show this aspect, but what was earlier? There's was a time, where Ash used only Pikachu. Remember Dracovish? We do, but for some reason the writers didn't and after the capture it did appear ten episodes after its debut. Or like a new-born Lucario could beat a champion-level Garchomp?
And don't get me started on Iris in this series. We had a tease in BW series if she wants to be a Gym Leader, that's okay. But I don't understand why they made her a Champion all of sudden. This isn't her game counterpart, where she became one. Like they just wanted an upgrade for the sake of it. And I like said earlier, they didn't even try to explain how she became one. She just wanted to be stronger and... that's all? No badges, no Unova League, no E4, no Alder battle. In the WCS they made her better, by showing her skills. But the bad aftertaste remains.

yes,it was the worst,it was bad enough but it got even worse with the fact it ended the pokemon anime.I couldnt watch it and that is coming from a guy who has watched every single series since i was 6

The big problem for me is that Journeys was meant to kind of be the final act for Ash, and they did try to re-unite him with past rivals and companions. But it's done really half-assed. Some are good, like him meeting back up with Dawn and Brock. But a lot of them are done really badly. Like, when he meets Serena again...for like 15 seconds. But hey, at least she got to meet Ash again. May was relegated to just watching him on TV, with Serena. Would've been nice to see them actually interact and with Dawn, since...y'know, they're all performers/coordinators. Lot of common ground to use there. And I'd be more forgiving if there was just not enough room to fill that many cameos and dedicate episodes to them, but like you said, Journeys had a ton of useless filler that episodes regarding Serena, May and Misty returning could've easily replaced.
I feel like they could have made ash smarter, cuz from like episode one of Indigo league when ash wakes up late, you know he will screw up an unbelievable amount of times

Hard to know regarding Ash's Pokémon, Pikachu and Bulbasaur are the only ones among the ones he caught that have ever refused to evolve, could just be that the others never met that criteria or whatever.
That's a good question regarding Legends Arceus, probably never. Goh wasn't a battler which is why he got Grookey since they never wanted to evolve it.

I agree in your assessment, yes I also would prefer a direct route city to city passing forest and stuff like a real journey. now understanding the time constraints and the fact they wanted him to revisit regions and stuff then I would have prefer more episodes within a city then having him ping pong one city per episode. I prefer to flesh out his experience more which was what was lacking. also they did our boys team rocket like dirty with that captcha coin machine. the battles were soulless because they were not the true trainers of the mons. I mean during sun and moon I became a super fan of team rocket. the development was incredible. yet they were downgraded so hard and I notice lots of you youtubers have not spoken about it. :) more content for you at least :D

I think this is an excellent explanation of why Pokemon Journeys has its good and bad moments, although ash has become the strongest in the world, masters 8 was incredibly rushed. also, I feel like pokemon journeys should have been a bit more straightforward like the other seasons but overall pokemon journeys was pretty decent

There was no hate for me in Pokémon Journeys. There were lots we got in Journeys that we wanted like Cynthia Vs Ash we wanted for years even though his Infernape wasn't sadly used, returning characters becoming better like Iris who was better than ever especially with her being champion and her Haxorus was brilliant but sadly her Dragonite was done silly, we saw returning characters again, great new Pokémon and lots to be true. I was even glad that we saw many of Ash's traveling companions meet like Serena being with May and Max, Cilan with Brock and of course the Alola gang, and speaking of Alola, we can't forget that fantastic episode with Lily and Gladion's father! That was a super amazing episode! Although, journeys did also let us down badly too, and I wasn't a massive fan of Goh at the time he caught Suicune, the fillers being terrible, some wasted battled and especially journeys having some of the worst Pokémon episodes in history like the recaps during the Master's 8. We could've had longer battles without those recaps and fillers and something else too. For me though journeys was a good series, but it won't be any better than Sinnoh, Kalos or Alola which despite having filler episodes too weren't done badly. Of course journeys to me is not as bad or the worst series to me.

I liked Pokemon journeys for the most part, but I would've liked it more if it focused on mainly the galar region like every other series did with their region.
I've enjoyed Journeys but ya aren't wrong regarding Chloe. Misty, Dawn and Iris are the only female companions that haven't had an Eevee and you would think that would be perfect for Misty since she would want to evolve it into Vaporeon.
What I didn't like regarding that is that it made it seem like Chloe's was special to the point that they were going to discover that it actually can't evolve since it's a Gmax Eevee, just to incorporate that into the show. Never cared how they traveled, my only other notable issue is Sword/Shield barely got any spotlight. No Milo, Nessa, Kabu, Bede, Gordie or Melony.
We haven't gotten all game characters, we've missed out on Janine I think was the name plus never saw the Johto Elite 4 and we missed most of the Hoenn Elites but not seeing most of the Galarian Gym Leaders? that's problematic.
Never cared about how inconsistent Ash is or rather was and at least Pikachu didn't get reset. I had no issues with Goh other than how easy it was for him to catch stuff, not talking about Suicune here since at least that 1 it was pretty weakened due to the beating it took from a poacher I think it was if I recall right? I don't think it was a stupid goal for Goh, sure he could've if they wanted him to and put in the effort but they didn't. Look at how many he caught earlier in the series, he caught pretty much all Gen 1 Bug-types in 1 show, I just don't think they wanted to keep doing that which makes it bad.
There were definitely some good World Coronation battles some of my favorites were when Ash finally beat Bea, when Ash fought Volkner, Drasna and even a lot of the final ones. Cynthia was so wise using Destiny Bond to take out Pikachu since that limits his gimmick options and Pikachu tends to be a wild card.
i think the series should have ended with xyz after that the show became a shell of what it was with writers that don't give a fuck about continuity and characters

It was interesting quit a few great Episodes but didn’t like Team rocket and there pokemon machine and Goh took to much screen Time. But I haven’t seen most the series from like 24th or something Episode in master journeys, because I can’t get any episodes in the Uk

Agree I love journeys but could of been better their home base/the lab should of been in galar not kanto we should of meet all galar gym leaders 1 way or another like nessa doing a photoshoot in place of the blue ep the PWC only happening in galar and no random trainers you can only enter if you are a gym leader/kahuna, elite 4 or champion and it's all tournament style that goes up in pokemon 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, 6v6. Goh should of only caught their first stage and evo them up unless they have other forms, regional variants or branch evo have him want to catch and train a lot of pokemon to be ready for whatever mew brings out and he should of got a psychic z crystal that turned into a mew z crystal from alola and had more times with mew secretly following goh as another pokemon. Chloe just seems to be their because they needed a girl character honestly eevee should of went to goh copycat would of been perfect for him and eevee might of got other good moves like swift, bite, iron tail and possibly gmax and he would of caught all the other evos after eevee didn't want to evo into them and with the stones could evo more of his pokemon she should of got a cherruim or other flower pokemon and her goal was terribly done making her a researcher after she was so against it was stupid

Pokémon Journeys should of been what aim to be a Pokémon master was. Keep the plot with ash bearing Leon, however have his traveling partners switch around every few episodes. Bring back old Pokémon every episode and of course you can still have him get his journeys team through out the series, this way we have a whole 3 season arc of the show to conclude his arc as well as all of his Pokémon, companions and rivals arcs. This entire series should of been labeled from the start as the end of ash’s journey. People like May, Max, and Serena all kinda got shafted. A good example of how they brought back a character was Dawn, she was there in a lot of episodes and didn’t just come back for one episode. She had a role in the show and she had growth still.

Yes it is bad. It is so bad that by the time Ash battled Cynthia, I had lost interest in and never cared to watch. You are telling me, that in all other series, except Alola, Ash starts with a new set of pokemon and can't get past the semi final of the league but here he beats freakin Cynthia with a farfetched and some the most idiotic excuse of a pokemon? Also why does that character Go exist?
Another one of its main issues was the absolute lack of Galar content in the show. Its story was rushed, pushing the climax of the game, the Darkest Day, on EPISODE 42-45. I get it was supposed to be more a Pokémon Go/Lets Go anime than a Sword/Shield anime but the absolute disrespect the anime gave for its story was just insane.

I did dissect the series. Cutting out the filler made it somewhat tolerable but some episodes are highlights of the series. Sad to say that it still weaker for a Pokémon series. Ash getting Lucario and Korrina triple returns (Bea and Korrina were fun on screen) for helping Ash unlock Mega Evolution. Ash vs Volknar Ash vs Iris Ash vs Leon Dawn Serena Cynthia Clemont Bonnie Chuck. The Arecus Chronicles Movie was pretty good. The PWC did underdevelope and rob some match ups. Ash vs Alan was one of those rematches I really wanted to see Ash get his win back, but Ash vs Leon was really good.
The worst thing is removing gym battles. Like why?

Now that this is my last year of high school I wanted to watch the last episode of Ash and Pikachu at the last day of my school, BUT, I still not even have passed 20 episodes of the first season due to how episodic it is in most cases and how uninteresting Gog and especially Chloe are, and I decided to watch Hunter x Hunter instead. Maybe I should only watch the essential episodes of Journeys which has the character returns, the masters 8 and the finale. Pokemon XYZ, to me, it’s still the more HxH feel of the Anipoke.
My favorite episodes were the ones with returning characters, especially gen 7 stuff, gen 7 is the best.
I really miss Clemont Bonnie and Serena while watching journeys ❤😢

More disappointing than bad it was just of eh it felt like every time I looked at it, it was a new series like at the beginning it was ash and goh traveling around the world simple leading up to the darkest day

For me this series never took the time to slow down and say

The start and ending were the best because they felt focused and now scrammed and showing what makes people love Pokémon like I liked watching the start because it’s two kids goofing around and exploring the Pokémon world *I mean like first *season or part 1 and 2* but ash and goh felt like Pokémon at the start because they were having fun and it was gouged they had goals at the start of every episode and did then flaws yes but it felt like Pokémon
I like the endding because it shows how far ash has come threw out the years and show cases he ain’t a push over it was throw out most of it focused just a kid trying his hardest to accomplish his dream using his pets to fight

It’s kinda the same sobble evolves gets sad then sits a cave while goh just replaces him with dumb grookey intel he gets another episode and evolves again LIKE BRO why are u rushing this it felt like u wanted to make goh as cool and on the same level as ash so u made two of his Pokémon depressed (both starters btw) then evolved them really quick even if raboots arc was decent and sooble didn’t even get a arc he got like an episode

Making Fanservice with a poor character development. Also with 2 of the worst Ash's partners: GOH and KOHARU. The first one is a Mary Sue that can catch any Pokémon without any effort, and the writters liked to give him more attention, even they made Ash so stupid to do that. Finally Koharu the most useless and weakest Pokegirl ever, because she didn't catch any Pokémon (Eevee doesn't count by being her starter Pokémon), in all the season she didn't do nothing important.
The only important thing in this season is that Ash became a world champion. At least journeys saved Black and White to be the worst series ever.

I stopped watching journeys in 2020 because I’m gonna be real I had a gut feeling it’d get worse.
I can’t really give much of an opinion on it because of that but I’d rather not bore myself then actually form an opinion on something I’ve hated since 2020.
Pokémon Journeys was a big disappointment. I didn’t like this version of Ash, Goh was a mix bag and Chloe was…a waste. Again I don’t blame the characters but more on the writing and direction. I liked that we got to see Ash’s companions again but sadly they weren’t utilized to their fullest! Especially with Serena and May pissed me off because of their lack of screen time. Journeys had so much potential yet in the end they squandered it! I’ve never been so angry since the disappointment of YGO Arc-V. Hopefully they learn their lessons with Horizons which I’ve seen and it looks very promising. I just hope this isn’t the last time we’ve seen Ash because he deserved a better send off than this BS! Especially his other traveling companions.

Def Alola was the best of the series it surprised me, it has a good plot, good amount of characters, arcs, even they could connect better the Tapu thing with the group and has the chad Kukui (universal father) on it, even its fillers doesn't feel too much like it.

Pokemon has no filler. Filler is used in adaptations of manga to pad things out until the anime gets up to manga material. Pokemon anime is not based in a manga but video games therefore there is no filer, just weak episodes

Terrible it was rushed first of all, Ash has no development in the series what so ever because they have 2 protagonist. They needed to take the slow and a more oringial approach. Not to mention non of all the other chapters got development either. Structure was garbage the series felt rushed. Pacing garbage go garbage companions garbage. Fights garbage it was ok but compared to xyz garbage. Go should've been a new protagonist in a different side series and they can bring go and ash together if they want but other than that garbage.theres only a few episodes you really need to watch
i think xy is too boring. i have watched till 40 episode and aside from gym battles and korina arc . most of the time team rocket showed up slowing pacing . i watched unova before it and found its pacing enaging also filler of unova were most of the time much better than those kalos fillers.

Pokémon Journeys is bad because Ash and Goh are horribly annoying Gary Stu characters, and they even ruined Chloe, and that's what matters most to me.
At first, she seemed like a distant person because she's in fact introverted, and introverted people tend to act distant. I can tell, I am introverted, and Chloe is a really relatable character for me.
She's more grounded in reality than Ash and Goh are and she has more realistic and relatable problems than Ash and Goh's problems ever were, like not knowing what she wants to do.
Or at least that used to be the case, as when she joined them, she became more like them, aka. a Mary Sue. She could become anything, and they made her yet another trainer out of all things.
You're telling me that a Galarian Ponyta called her specifically for an important problem even though she's in Kanto, hundreds if not thousands of kilometers away from Galar ?
Why ? Well because she's a protagonist here's why. Chloe had potential. She wasn't into raising Pokemon for battle, she wanted to do something different.
Once again, she didn't know what she wanted to do. She could have been the most interesting character in the Pokemon series thus far.
It's not often that we see characters on the introvertion spectrum in this series, and she could have found what she wants to do, which could have been something never done before.
Not a trainer, not a coordinator, something that has nothing to do with that, bringing some fresh air in the series and fitting with the fact that she doesn't seem to like what Ash and Goh do (well she used to).
But nope she became a trainer of course. And after that she wasn't really relatable anymore to me like she was in the first season.
The main promblem was Serena. People say that "Serena should have grown her hair and kissed Ash at the end of the series" but since the controversy like Serena needing frubbles so not get nurse in the manga if you know what i mean or we can see some clothing of Serena passing throught her butt in the manga and if she poops then idk
