  • At Death Valley National Park, tourists queued for photos in front of a giant thermometer the National Park Service keeps near the visitor center. It’s not precise. It registers the temperature anywhere from 1 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit higher than more modern instruments kept by the National Weather Service nearby, providing a more impressive reading for pictures. The hottest temperature ever officially recorded on Earth was 134 F (56.67 C) in July 1913 in Death Valley, though some experts dispute that measurement and say the real record was 130 F (54.4 C), recorded there in July 2021.

Shame we had to add non-relatable temperture units, if you're from a country that uses odd units, just convert like you do to us who use normal units and visit your country. So sick and tired of metric being pushed on Americans.

In Death Valley they measure off of the ground ,,if it's 3 ft off the ground temperature 5 ft off the ground, so on , I worked for the American Corning company in the minds and we lived in Furnace Creek 3 ft off the ground 10:00 a.m. it would be 136 degrees😢 1500 ft below ground,,, it was 128°😢😢😢😢

Climate catastrophe grifting, the story that never stops making money.

IKR? We can just make thermometers that read hotter than it really is, and we can call it the hottest summer in forever. Funny thing is, I've only had to run the AC one day so far this year.😂

@@gary-rr7jpLol, I didn't even want AC until 2010. Most of my neighbors didn't have it, either, and didn't care. Now everyone has AC because it gets miserable without it.
