Antifreeze green colour is awesome. Green , gold and purple are colours on castings I just can’t walk past with picking them off the pegs . Thank you Andrew for another cool custom show ✌️👍👊
@@MapleLeafCustoms"fun journey towards mediocrity" - dang, it's almost like you were looking over my shoulder yesterday as I was applying the decals on the upcoming Porsche build for your event lol (a hint as to what's coming - I bought some dead on 1/64 scale decals...and as I was about to apply them, noticed that they were a little small...I'm guessing the casting is somewhere around 1/55-1/60 scale lol)
Very beautiful, Thunderbird My friend, I love it really don't like the green but I. Still love that car. Have a good weekend with Petra. Both me and Kathy say hi. God Bless
Excellent job Andrew! By many the antifreeze color is the hardest to spray. Because they are heavy handed and put on too much and it puddles. But you handled it like a pro. Well done
Thanks, Pete. High praise from someone I consider to be one of our finest painters. The Anti-freeze was quite translucent, so it was challenging. I'll get it all dialled in one day. 🍁☕️👍😀
94th thumb's up brother Andrew and beautiful restoration and awesome event's coming up and enjoyed watching and have a wonderful weekend brother and family 🙏😎✌️❤️💯
Thanks, Dan. This is only #3 for me. I had the whole Sweet 16 collection as a kid, but not a single one has survived all of my international moves. Maybe I'll try to start building that back up... $$!! 🍁☕️👍😀
That's a nice casting Andrew ever time I see one of those I think of the beach boys song you done a great job looks awesome Andrew hope all is well your way . Have a great week Andrew be safe my friend ❤
I watched Timo before going to work this morning, and you as i came through the door this evening.......shame about the bit in the middle! Outstanding job, Andrew. Don't be so hard on yourself, she looks great. I've never used Spectraflame but, reading other comments, this one is a bu**er to use and youve pulled it off!👍🏻🇨🇦👏🏻🇬🇧👌🏻🇨🇭
Thanks, Jack. It was challenging, being so translucent . I'll get it all figured out one day. Timo's still putting out great stuff, isn't he? Gotta be that 🇨🇦 water! 🍁☕️👍👊😀
Nice job Andrew. It looks great. I have learned stuff about Red Line restorations on this video, even while you are learning. Now my thoughts turn to my collection of first issue Red Line Hot Wheels, from my childhood. My son has long grown out of playing with them, and maybe the time is coming to restore my Python, Barracuda, and many more that I can't remember now. Cheers
Thanks, Timo. I had the whole Sweet 16 set as a kid, as many of us did, but not a single one has survived my many international moves. I'd like to start the major task of finding and restoring them too. They cost a bit more now than in 1969... Such great memories! 🍁☕️👍
aw. please forgive me for being a tiny lil bit jealous, because this casting is one of the many early HW that are hard to get by here in germany. but maybe I'm lucky... many that are restored I have never heard of. anyway, looks great! love the colour, and I don't mind the not-perfect mirror shine, as the slight brushed look shimmering like scales has a beauty of it's own. :) one of these days I'll try out spectraflames myself, or at least transparent paints by Revell, Humbrol, Tamiya, and others. I have some castings that are no HW that could benefit. I imagine curves or defined edges work best. somethign between Jaguar E-Type and Lambo Countach, for example. I already did it to a SIKU Porsche 911... can't wait to see what you do with yours. :)
Thanks, Lothar. I haven't seen many over here either. This one was mailed in as a gift. I've worked with the Tamiya clear paints with good results. This was my first Spectraflame job. Always experimenting. Always learning. Wishing you a fine day today! 🍁☕️👍👊
Lovely restoration. I really love the paint on this one. You talk about how the imperfections weren't masked perfectly but I think that's actually great. It makes the car actually seem like a "toy" to me, not sure if I'm saying it correctly.
I’m living vicariously through you on these…..too nerve-wracking for me. All systems go for MLC4…back to the car now. Well done. I don’t know much about Redlines in general but this looks minty fresh to me.
Thanks, David. Nerve racking is about right. That paint was absolutely unforgiving. Oh well. Live and learn with each new project. Have fun with the Porsche. We're drawing down on that date quickly! 🍁☕️👍
What a beauty, just did a 87 Testarossa from Hot Wheels yesterday, and saw what you did just today. Amazing. Love that paint, nice job. How do you make the custom cards, love them but never be able to do them myself.
Thanks for watching. I created a template for my custom cards and just tweak them to suit each new project. They're printed double sided on heavy stock paper. I get the plastic cases and blisters from different sources. The Certificate of Authenticity is on holographic paper. Once all the basics are done, it's quick and easy to make a new one. 🍁☕️👍👊
Antifreeze green colour is awesome.
Green , gold and purple are colours on castings I just can’t walk past with picking them off the pegs . Thank you Andrew for another cool custom show ✌️👍👊
Thanks, Bob! Green, gold and purple are the 3 feature colours on my Mardis Gras custom, out this week. Stay tuned! 🍁☕️👍👊🇨🇦
Looks good! The antifreeze color is one of my favorite ones out of the original paints
I like it too. This was my first Spectraflame job. Lots to learn about getting it just right! 🍁☕️👊
A redline....awesome Andrew. Absolutely amazing build. Love that green paint. Excellent video!
Thanks, Todd! I've got a few more ready to improve my skills. ☕️🍁👍
Beautiful work Andrew! You’re your own worst critic. It looks great!
Thanks, Geoff! I'll take that from a pair of fresh eyes. 🍁☕️👊
phenomenal job. she's gorgeous
Thanks, Neil. Still figuring it all out with the Spectraflame stock. I'll get there. 🍁☕️👍🇨🇦
Nice restoration, details and paint job 👌 👍
Thanks, Joe! 🍁☕️✌️
You've got a great looking little Redline there Andrew! Always love seeing a T-Bird!
Thanks, Jim. Lots to learn to get these unforgiving Spectraflame paints just right... But it's a fun journey towards mediocrity! 🍁☕️👍😂

Thank you, Uri! I've got a few more to work on now, but I'll be spacing them out. 🍁☕️👊

Have a good weekend with Petra. Both me and Kathy say hi. God Bless
The Anti-freeze paint was closest to the original, so I went with that. Greetings to both you and Kathy. 🍁☕️👍
Outstanding job and thanks for the ride!!
Still learning some important Spectraflame tips and tricks, Eddie. I'll get there. 🍁☕️👍👊
Super nice restoration Andrew!!
😎👍🔥💥🏁☕
Thanks, Tom. Got a ways to go before getting these just right. 🍁☕️👍👊
Awesome job on the old redline Andrew! She looks incredible!
Thanks so much! There's room for improvement, but I like learning new stuff. 🍁☕️👍👊
I think you did great! We are our own worse critics, but with fresh eyes on my end it passes muster, Andrew!!! Great work!👏👏👏
Thanks, Charles. I think the distance helps! 🍁☕️👍😂
Andrew, another sweet job. The antifreeze paint isn't merciful. Thanks for sharing, my friend. Two 👍 s up.
Thanks, Skip. I'll take that from a Spectraflame pro! I'll get it all worked out one day. 🍁☕️👍😀
I missed this one. Beautiful Redline restoration Andrew, love the paint!
Thanks, Ron. One of my early attempts with the Spectraflame paints.🍁☕️
Rock on! Beautiful restoration!!
Thanks, Leo! Another fun learning experience. Love this hobby! 🍁☕️👍👊
Looks great and my understanding is that the antifreeze is somewhat unforgiving. Really outstanding. Thank You!
Thanks, Brian. It's an improvement on how I got it. I'll get this all ironed out with time. Take care, my friend. 🍁☕️👊
Really nice restoration Andrew, lots of great memories associated with the old classic redline Hot Wheels, enjoyed the video!
Thanks, Jeff. Same for me. Those of us of the same vintage can remember handling these as kids! 🍁☕️👍
A nice restoration, of a cool casting, love the colour.
Thanks, John. Pretty close to the original green, so I'm pleased about that. Have a great day! 🍁☕️👍
Good day 🙂
Have a nice day, GW! 🍁☕️😀

Love the color Andrew, that T-bird is looking good.🍁🦫
Thanks, Sean. Another enjoyable learning experience! 🍁☕️👍👊🇨🇦
Very smart ,lovely smoth paint finsh Andrew
Thanks, Martin. I'm a newbie with the Spectraflame paints. They're not very forgiving! 🍁☕️😀
I still haven't done a redline... But I have a nice first year collection, some from my childhood... Turned out great
Thanks, Dan. This is only #3 for me. I had the whole Sweet 16 collection as a kid, but not a single one has survived all of my international moves. Maybe I'll try to start building that back up... $$!! 🍁☕️👍😀

Great job. Came out looking beautiful. Nice work as always. Interested to see what you do with the Rigor Motor. One of those crossed my desk recently
Thanks, JZ. The Rigor Motor suited the Mardis Gras theme, so I started with that and jazzed it up! Comes out this week. 🍁☕️👍👊

Spectra flame paints are beautiful but need really good ventilation or they stink the whole place up and irritate the lungs
True words. I wear a respirator and have the paint booth fan running as well as a big open window for fresh air flow. Safety first! 🍁☕️👍
