Great build and lovely work on the transfers - they still terrify me! A weathering technique I've found to work really nicely on my Gaslands cars is to use watered down citadel paint. I usually apply several watery layers of Baneblade Brown, which gives a great dust effect, and is fantastic on tyres/tracks too. If you're struggling with the chrome effects, it might be worth applying using a small acrylic brush, perhaps a 00 or around that. The Army Painter Detail brush is superb for fine jobs like edge highlighting. As ever, absolutely love your work, looking forward to your next build!

Nice video, I recently bought a very rough one but painted mine Tamiya Ferrari Red with wire wheels, the tail hitch had been previously chewed off so I was happy to dispatch what was left

That's a reasonable price for what you get. I have been using air brushes for 50 years, doing different projects. You certainly don't need to spend a ton of money for painting die cast.

Looks quality, Andrew, but seems a bit steep to me for how flexible it is. I've had a cheapo for three years now, with three needles down to 0.2.......keep 'em clean and they look after you. Those silicone washers and grommets are an advantage over rubber though. 👌🏻🇨🇦👍🏻🇬🇧👏🏻🇨🇭

Really fantastic build! The 3D printed lights and weathering are my favorite but all the other details you added are great too! Love that you did an authentic livery and the weathering just makes the casting a perfect replica.

Wonderful build Andrew and yes, the 240Z is a throwback in time for so many of us (I worked at a Radio Shack in high school and the manager had one). I love what you did with it and the decals you made are fantastic!

Amazing work, looks like it really just is in a pit stop from the rally. 10 of 10 for authenticity in my book. If you don’t mind, a little caroming the windows tip I use, I take a cotton swab or a toothpick, and use my Dremel sander to make a little 90 degree notch, put a little drop of paint in the notch, and follow the contours of the windows. I learned from another video, and started with notched stirrer sticks. I’ve gotten good results, I. No where near the fabricator/detailer you are, but you’ve taught me so much, maybe I can partially pay it back. Really love the end result, as always a great Sunday morning start. Thank you!

WRC/Rally was so cool in those days! RWD cars on any surface was insane. It was a featured car in the SIM/Arcade racer DIRT 2.0 Rally as well. If you are into racing sims. Looks great!

nice transformation. I must have one of the early versions of this mine has a yellow 7 on the hood with yellow interior has the skinner flat 5 spoke wheels and a bit extra metal on the base for the longer wheel axels. Of course, mine looks more like the Rotsun from Road Kill with missing part of the front bumper/headlight and rear bumper. Fun fact the reason Nissan used the Datsun name outside of Japan was to protect the reputation of Nissan if it failed so it wouldn't look bad on it.
