Amazing trip report. It’s so cool you got to fly on such a brand new plane with a brand new United livery, such an experience. It was pretty unexpected when they gave you that meal service, I’m guessing that’s a new thing for coast to coast flights or just because it’s a new aircraft, overall this was an great video with great narrating, camera work and a great wing view. It’s also really cool you got to meet the pilots.

Just a tip...when departing SFO, if you sit on the left side of the aircraft, the departure views are more spectacular. Not as much to see when seated on the right side.
Yeah I usually and was hoping for the left side, but I was flying standby, so it was just whatever seat they give me (I did ask for a window, originally didn’t get one, but was able to switch onboard)
Great video! Since SFO is my home airport what do you think of it on a scale of 1 to 10?
Anakin Skywalker without all the unique international airlines influencing me, I like that they are adding concourse connectors so you won’t have to go through security on inter line connections. From a logistical standpoint, I give it 6/10, there tend to be a lot of ATC delays, security moved pretty slow, but the are a ton of nonstop destinations. From an aviation geek standpoint, I give it 9/10, one of my favorite airports because of all the unique airlines and wide body aircraft. Thanks
Geminijets 2000 Also in the coming years it should get even more popular with aviation geeks since japan airlines plans to have SFO to Tokyo as one of the routes for the upcoming boom overture (aka Concorde 2.0) which they have ordered and are funding. Hopefully the aircraft pans out and we will have them at SFO just like JFK had the Concorde!

How loud was it actually from inside. I have been on a 777-300ER, but I was asleep right when I got on
Not louder than other current generation aircraft, like A330, or 737. I would say quieter than older aircraft, and quieter than the 777-200. I’ve never been on a A350 or 787, but it was a great experience.

Njames_ TV oh, yeah, from where I saw sitting, it was glorious, pretty loud. The cabin shook during start! I figure that where I was sitting (The premium plus cabin) was the loudest because it’s right beside the engine.

Premium Plus is nice but very few available and expensive. The economy experience on board UAL is much different and not something I would do again.

@@GeminiJets2K SO.. for that dreamliner flight .. they take good care of you. The typical united meal, ice cream, mid flight snack, and breakfast but you gotta keep yourself distracted because as tired as we made ourselves, no way we stayed asleep for near 17 hours haha. Great flight to try though!! Highly suggest when things start getting better
Why such a big plane for a 5 hour flight?
Vikraanth Sinha it’s a hub to hub flight, so I just they could fill it. The 777 was the reason I went on this flight.
Love United. They've always treated me well and now that I live in NYC, I get to fly them more frequently. Their Newark hub is world class and only 20 minutes from midtown Manhattan. They also just started service from JFK so they now serve all three NYC airports. Their economy is on par with everyone else (economy plus is definitely a superior product), but United's Polaris beats all U.S. airlines. I actually prefer United over Virgin Atlantic when flying to London. And the Polaris lounges are also the best lounges in the country, especially LAX. Delta and American have some catching up to do. My only complaint is the hideous Continental globe. Bring back the tulip!
