I flew United economy from Australia to UK via San Francisco (return) & was pleased with the service. All the staff on ground & cabin crew were very helpful & I would definitely fly United again. Yes, economy is crowded & busy but I thought the ticket price was very good & I broke the journey by staying in a hotel one night in San Francisco ( was great to have a hot shower & comfy bed). I don't expect restaurant quality meals on flights & that breakfast you showed would be fine for me. Thanks for a very interesting video
$880 is a good price. I am flying Houston-Oslo- Riga LV on Sept 14 r/t for $828 on SAS. Finnair just had a flash sale on the same route for $603! Amazing. Everybody else is $1000 and up.

I had the same dinner option on my Newark to Frankfurt flight and thought it was delicious. But your breakfast was skimpy. We had pancakes, yogurt, muffin and drink and was ok. It's all subjective. But the new slimline coach seats are not that comfy on long flights. Fortunately, their IF is tops. Overall, I really like United and they are always my first choice.
I have only flown with United once, and my first impression was the beautiful moodlighting when I stepped onboard, but the seat wasn't comfortable at all. You enjoy most of their meals? That's not my case though :)

I swore there and then to avoid flying United whenever possible, especially on long trips, even if I had to pay more on other carriers. To date I have managed to find good deals if I plan my trip carefully and in advance.
Yes, definitely avoid flying any of the U.S airlines from Asia to the United States especially as you can fly All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines for around the same price!
I flew in July of 2022 from Chicago to Rome on a United 787 and the meal was exactly the same. It was very subpar and the breakfast portion was just pathetic imo. Thanks for posting the review.

You're so lucky nobody was in K. It was a midflight snack not breakfast. Is it because your ticket is Basic? Was the connection easy? Is terminal C both domestic and International for United?
great review! the breakfast on UA was a bit of joke? but i will still choose UA over DL, despite I have to travel to EWR over JFK , because UA has 773 and 787!! flew couple times to europe from JFk with Delta. despite having better meals service over KLM & LH, but i was totally disappointed with the type of aircrafts that Delta using ( old Northwest a330, never got a chance to fly their A330neo)... !
Flew United from Houston to Buenos Aires last week and got the exact same meal service. I found the chicken dish to be quite bad as you mentioned, and breakfast very lacking as well. Cutting costs in breakfast service is what most airlines seem to be doing. By the way, may I ask what device you used to film and what editing software you use? Great video as usual!
I’ve flown this route in Polaris and it was fantastic. I just don’t understand why United has to create so many different classes of service. Polaris, premium plus, economy plus, and economy. It just seem ridiculous to me.
It's no different than what most airlines have on long haul flights. It's really only a three-class service because United does not consider economy and economy plus to be separate cabins. Economy plus is just economy with extra legroom. The service is exactly the same.
Every word you said about EWR is wrong. It is neither a dump nor an operational mess, and I say this as someone who has been through the airport about 25 times. Just for that, you have earned a dislike from me.
EWR isn't bad, all this crap about it being bad usually started because it's not in NYC, and because of a bit of an outdated terminal etc. Now Terminal A is done, the next update is to C or B.

Why 4 different classes is standard around the world with any airlines. I think American airlines offers 5 travel classes.
