Update: made this in the oven and it came out much better. I left it in for 15 mins but could have done 12 or 13. I cannot get over how filling this dessert is. Thanks Autumn!
I made this tonight as a waffle, using the vanilla protein powder and cocoa powder and it was SO GOOD.
Definitely my favorite protein waffle I’ve made so far!
I used Autumn’s recipe, but I added 1 tbsp of cocoa instead of 1 tsp
And I also added lily’s chocolate chips. Served with Autumns homemade whip cream.
So. Good.
I can definitely say her protein powder is THE BEST ive ever had . Not only the flavor but it mixes so well and such quality ingredients, with no sugar but it tastes like there is ! Very satisfying. It makes wonderful products not just smoothies. Everyone needs it!

I love to use your vanilla protein powder stirred into some Greek yogurt for a frosting/topping for things like this or protein pancakes and waffles. So good!

This is just a heads up and a update from my last comment, the protein powder matters!!! I used Cave chocolate protein powder and it turned out delicious both times then I used my husband’s protein protein powder Body Fortress for him and it was disgusting, so dry. My protein has stevia and all natural ingredients. Made with the right protein powder it’s like a lava cake. Also I cooked mine in microwave for 2 minutes every time.
Her protein powder is amazing. I recommend it every where in comments. I use it every morning in my AG1

Thank you so much for this recipe. I made it tonight, but I baked it. I made sure to take it out when the toothpick was slightly moist. It turned out amazing and very moist and soooo yummy. It wasn’t dry. It was the perfect no guilt dessert. ❤️

I made it exactly as stated. It was dry and wasn't as sweet as I wanted. It definitely needs berries & whipped cream. I think I left it in the microwave for an extra 10-15 seconds by mistake (total time 1 min 10-15 secs). The good thing is that it is soo filling!

Leaving it in the microwave for too long can make it dry out. I would suggest microwaving it for less time - mine came out perfect! 😋

I definitely agree that even a touch too long in the microwave makes all the difference, I’m super careful about not overdoing low carb mug cakes and actually now I prefer the oven.

I am a vegetarian and am wondering if there are plant-based options in your recipes and meal plans or if most of them contain meat? I am just beginning my intermittent fasting journey and am so glad that I found you. I am looking for a lifestyle change after being diagnosed with breast cancer (in full remission now) and have been trying to eat mostly plant based foods since my diagnosis. I am also now able to get back to the gym full time, which has been a bit of a challenge as my treatments really messed up my muscles and body in general. Hi Autumn- if I don't have have almond flour, will regular flour work too?
I'm just going to speculate and say if Autumn responds she will say...no.
I'm not saying that healthy people like her don't indulge at times, but I'm guessing she eats very, very, very little regular/white flour.
I consider myself a healthy person and never touch the stuff. My recommendation is don't do it.
@Hunter Squires oh. I guess I didn't think regular flour was unhealthy 🤔. I don't ever use almond flour, because I don't have a gluten allergy, so regular flour is really all I buy.. the brownie just looks so good, so I was just wondering if I could still get the same consistently with regular flour.
@@laurie896 yeah white flour is considered by some to be as bad if not worse than granulated table sugar. It's basically just refined crap.
Think about what cakes, cookies, muffins and everything in the bakery section of a grocery store is made with...just nasty white flour and sugar.
Unfortunately, that's the stuff that makes probably 2/3 of Americans overweight or obese.
A quick Google search on white flour will give mostly terrible feedback.
I'm just speaking from a health standpoint. It seems to me you are just simply looking for a good tasty alternative since you don't have almond flour. I personally don't see how you could go wrong with white flour if that's what you want.
You might have to tweak the recipe. I would try half the amount of flour and go from there. Grain flours (wheat or rice) are more absorbent than almond flour.
@@huntersquires7107 If you don't have a gluten intolerance or celiac disease, wheat flour is fine to use. 🤌I have a love/annoyed relationship with people who demonize wheat flour. Y'all pushed companies to make certified gluten free treats for my celiac intestines but dang, y'all demonize wheat flour for people whose bodies don't go into hyperdrive over a little bit of wheat. Chillax.

This has 26 grams of complete protein - the carb amount depends on the size banana you use, as that’s the main source of carbs. However, if carb sensitive you can do part banana (1/4 banana) with 1/4 cup or so of pumpkin purée

Monk fruit is a zero sugar sweetener substitute with erythritol 😊

No sugar, but the protein powder has sugar. Not named sugar, but that is sugar
So sorry to say this was not good. Maybe it's because I used Greek yogurt in place of the banana, not sure. It just wasn't any different than other "brownies" I have tried like this, still mostly flavorless, dry and not a good feel in the mouth. Thank goodness I had PB2 I could make a little drizzle to put on the top so I could eat it and not waste that very expensive protein powder. 😢
It's probably due to the Greek Yogurt swap. Banana will provide some sweetness that Greek Yogurt won't provide. If it was dry for you, I would try using the baked method listed on my blog here: www.autumnellenutrition.com/post/my-chocolate-brownie-protein-mug-cake-high-protein-low-sugar

Her stuff is great. Just replace what u can't eat, and it does not change the flavor. I use moringa hot chocolate plus protein powder and pumpkin. Comes out great.

I’m a cook with over 20 years experience, for you, as a nutrition specialist, with a masters in nutrition, you should know that Monkfruit isn’t the sweetener in that artificial sweetener…It’s Xylitol, or Erythritol mixed in with the monkfruit, as monkfruit by itself is not sweet enough to flavor anything
Use plain all leaf stevia, not stevia substitute if your looking for an actual healthy treat
Don’t trust these people making videos if your actually sick
Use an Avocado instead of a banana as the banana has over 35-50grams of sugar in it as natural fructose and sucrose
Raw organic local Honey is a better option than a banana for sugar…What in the world are these people selling us on 🤦🏻♂️
