Great reaction! :) I remember watching this episode when it premiered on Netflix years ago, knowing that I would have to wait 1 year for the next season was pure torture. 😂

I can try to explain the Neolution bit, without spoiling too much, the way I understood it. There's two sides of Neolution, the Evie's bot-science that worked mostly within Brightborn. And then there's the baseline clone science that worked within Dyad and Military mostly. The island Neolutionists are part of that clone-side.
The two sides weren't exactly enemies at the start, but they weren't working together that well either and Neolution itself was going a little more towards the bots. As we can see that Evie was leading at the board meeting, before getting killed.
Where Delphine's attemped murder falls in this? So, Dr. Nealon was working for the island, his job was to bring Delphine to them (I won't specify why, now). Delphine refuses, he tries to do something to her with that bot (it's actually never explained what, but I assume it was for him to be able to force her to the island).
Because Van Lier, mole for the island, worked with Evie, they knew that Delphine was going to be killed. So when Delphine refuses the offer and kills Nealon, he tells her she won't live till morning, because he knows that Evie will kill her the night. And he's kinda smug about it, because he's pissed at Delphine for shooting him. But the island Neolutists manage to send rescue group after Delphine anyway, and she's still moved to the island in the end.
Why Evie wanted Delphine dead? Because she was way too helpful to the clones. Delphine managed to steer Dyad into helping clones more than trying to control them and that was a threat to Evie. She wanted Dyad out of the game, and by getting Delphine murdered (and most likely Marion too), she managed to do just that and removed clones' biggest asset.
Hope that didn't make it all way more confusing. And some of that is just the way I put the puzzle pieces together, there's most likely other opinions too.

I completely understand your confusion with the whole scientific plot. It's really still confusing for me, when I think I understand then I get lost or forget again haha Also, I haven't watched this show many times so I think it's understandable, the comments from fans help a lot.
It's funny how in the previous episode we were kind of rooting for Rachel and in this one we immediately went back to hating her haha.

I don't understand the internal politics of Neolution, and I've watched the show several times! Best not to worry about it too much, and just enjoy the characters.

@@KelseasComments The only reason Neolution and Leda have so much power is because nobody knows about the Clones. I think we both would introduce everyone to Clone Club, not just Crystal. Going public with Clone Club would take away their power. They can't Helsinki the entire country. Not to mention, more clones would come forward. BTW, Leda can't patent illegal activity. Cloning has been banned in every major country as illegal. Their patents are void.

And now the set up for Season 5 has been set. Season 4 was a mixed bag. Never bad but not always great. But it does succeed in revealing a lot and setting up the last season. It is more consistently great from here on.
Ya it was definitely a mixed bag for me too. Excited to see how the story closes out! I have high hopes for this season!
