      @dorgicorgi  16 дней назад

      The Ananke is still a good buy! In terms of glide, both Yoso mousepads have the upper hand because of their new stitching, that means consistency and length of use is miles away from the ananke, same goes for the bottom because of their new poron base.
      Ok but hear me out, the Ananke is still a good buy. With the Yoso, you're paying for the quality and the familiarity. Kinda unlucky that you bought the Ananke days before the Yoso but hey, maybe you can still sell it if you're really persistent in getting the Yoso! If you were to ask me, I'd easily pick the Yoso 😉

    • @dorgicorgi
      @dorgicorgi  17 дней назад

      Yeah, Artisan never really endorsed their pads as somewhat of a "control" pad, but most pads compared to them are advertised as such so I guess I just rolled with it 😅

    • @ja-irwilson6343
      @ja-irwilson6343 17 дней назад

      @@dorgicorgi they're hybrid pads for sure. They have interesting textures on them that affect their glide properties differently but they're not really in the category of "control" pads. They're definitely fast pads, especially considering artisan has no true control pad yet. The release of the type-99 might give control pad users there chance though. The prices right now for XXL (50x49) are quite good $48 USD with free shipping.... But that may not be everyone's case, I'm not sure what the conversion is like elsewhere. Making these pads still very relevant and a serious option for those where this pad is definitely cheaper

    • @dorgicorgi
      @dorgicorgi  16 дней назад

      @@ja-irwilson6343 I agree! I don't think Artisan has labeled anything (other than the new type-99) as a primary "control" pad, but I do agree that these may be in the realm of hybrid pads as that what they have developed in their previous iterations. As much as I would love to say that the Artisan is a good deal at the moment, the shipping costs going into where I'm from (Philippines) have drastically increased the price range to up to 50 USD, maybe even more. We have a few retailers here but it takes months to before they're readily available in our country.

    how are they better than the freefall sv v2?

    • @dorgicorgi
      @dorgicorgi  19 дней назад

      It's honestly personal preference! The freefall sv v2 is somewhat harder on the thickness. If one was used to somewhat of a soft-mid surface, it's gonna be a hard switch. Then again, I was only comparing these to the Artisan line! But if you were to ask me, it's that the GGG Yoso Series has enough flexibility to cater to anyone willing to switch from their current main mousepads in comparison to the freefall. Texture stitching from both is flawless, even skin contact. It ultimately comes down to the hardness of the pad.

    • @michaelschwarz5907
      @michaelschwarz5907 19 дней назад

      @@dorgicorgi i bought into that soft pad craze, but i just don't get the point. why add another variable to a pad that's exceedingly hard to control at a higher level, which is downward pressure? I've been on a superglide pad for a about 5 months and i see more improvement than any softpad ever gave me. i am master complete in voltaic and i use it in CS2 with great success. people need to get rid off of these indoctrinated, yet noy tested believes that this and that will work for a specific game. most of the time it's a technique and comfortability issue. not everything that feels comfortable is actually making you perfrom at your best. especially if you change pad. for the the first 2 weeks you feel improvement and you end up at about the same level you were at before. take this with a grain of salt. i just have about 25k hours in cs and about 2k in aim trainers.

    • @dorgicorgi
      @dorgicorgi  19 дней назад +1

      @@michaelschwarz5907 Like I said in the video, this is ultimately my preference, and although you are right about technique and comfortability, there has to be an underlying reason why pro players in the scene still opt to have soft pads over hard pads. If one thinks a certain pad isn't working, then it may come to a point where it definitely isn't for them and can just opt to go for a better option.
      The whole point of the video is to see why the GGG Yoso is more compelling to buy compared to twice the money for an artisan and like you said only end up being in the same level as you were before.

    • @michaelschwarz5907
      @michaelschwarz5907 19 дней назад

      @@dorgicorgi i get your point in terms of price. artisan pads are very expensive due to the diverse softness options they offer for each pad.
      but pro players sre literally the worst players to quote when it comes to peripherals. they have hardly the time to test new gear in fear of losing consistency and ultimately money. why switch to a new pad, when you only got about a 2 weeks break in between tournaments in CS, while everyone is preaching a mud pad and low sens/dpi is the way to go? if you want to go for people that actually push aim to it's limits, you should quote aim trainer mains like mattyow, cartoon, etc pp. you can outperfrom good aimers in terms of vision blockers, flashes or ridiculous hero skills in game, but you can't do any of that in an aim trainer.
      edit: watch the bardoz drama of falcons💁

    • @dorgicorgi
      @dorgicorgi  19 дней назад +1

      @@michaelschwarz5907 would love to tackle aim trainers in a separate video! Again, as mentioned in the video and in the description, the main target for most of these pads that others may despise is performance in gaming experience to their own comfortability. While I do agree that aim training and good aim for multiple games constitutes an "aim master" (or whichever the right term is), fundamentals within certain games while maintaining accuracy when gliding across the pad at pro-level is the heart of competitive games at the moment, especially when it comes to budget.
      Not everyone has to means to buy an artisan or spend money on multiple peripherals especially if they aren't that knowledgeable about the nitty-gritty details of each. Again, my ultimate goal is to shed light on how the artisan may or may not be worth its price despite being used across multiple competitive esports that value its quality.

      This video is about how new local pads in the Philippines can compete with the Artisan and how it can easily match up to other top tier pads. This has NOTHING to do with how "affordable" or "expensive" things around me are. Why would I bother making a video about personal experiences regarding budget peripherals if I didn't see the potential in it for everyone else anyway? I don't know if you're trying to resonate with people regarding how they work their money but buddy I'm telling you right now that calling people "poors" or assuming individuals that use such descriptions as people that don't know how to manage money is just emitting "privilege".

In your own blurb "This is the mousepad that is ulitimately going to kill the Artisan line, not to mention how affordable it is!" idgaf about people. I was just commenting on how nonsensical this idea of COST is when COST of a product is irrelevant to the individual who knows how to make and manage their money. In the grand scheme of things, an individual sweating over 20 dollars for a mouse pad, 80 dollars for a mouse pad is thinkin in poor person terms. Cost does not drive the consumer decision because people spend money on products not worth the cost all the time across several sectors. GPU market is a great example of over paying for what your purchasing. Mouse market, mouse pad market also great examples of this. Also OFC I'm Privileged!
