This is just an act of desperation. Rich people are extremely afraid of death more so than the poor. The poor tend to welcome it as a parent or friend when they suffered throughout their entire lives. John’s letters are the only books in the Bible to mention a figure called the antichrist (1 John 2:18). And in 1 John he addresses them directly in chapters 2 and 4. In chapter four, John will call this same group of people “false prophets” (1 John 4:1). John is quick to point out that there is not just one, but many antichrists and that antichrists are a normal part of church life. And antichrists share two things in common. First, they were once a part of John’s church, but have since left (1 John 2:19). Second, they deny that Jesus is the “Christ,” which is a Greek word that means “Anointed One” (1 John 2:22). Throughout Scripture God has anointed many people. King David is one of the most famous examples (1 Samuel 16:13). Being anointed meant God chose, commissioned, and filled someone with his Spirit to save his people. So to deny that Jesus is God’s Anointed One means you are literally “against-christ” and against God’s plans to save his people (1 John 4:2-3). But these antichrists weren’t just teaching their beliefs, they were killing for them. In John’s Gospel, Jesus warned that people like this would persecute and kill his disciples (John 16:2-3). And John’s community knows this from experience (1 John 3:15). So John encourages them in their confusion and despair with good news. Where is the Gospel? The good news is that John’s disciples have been anointed by God, and those who are against God’s anointed have no power (1 John 2:20). John’s disciples don’t need to be afraid of the lies that God’s enemies throw around because the Holy Spirit has filled them with the truth (John 14:16; 1 John 2:21). God has sent his Son in the flesh. Jesus is the Anointed One. And the Anointed One has risen from the dead to save his people. The truth is, those anti- the Anointed One have already been defeated. Just as John’s disciples, we are filled with that same anointing. Antichrists live in the world, but God’s anointing lives in us (1 John 2:27a). Antichrists might teach and sound convincing to the world outside (1 John 4:5), but we have a better teacher living in us to remind us of what’s true (1 John 2:27b). We don’t need to fear philosophies, arguments, and worldviews that are anti-Jesus because the world and its lies are passing away (1 John 2:17a). Soon, all that will be left is the truth that Jesus passed away but rose as the Anointed One, commissioned by God to save us from death. As John says: Little children, you are from God and have overcome the antichrists, because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Even if the antichrists conspire together to kill us, they can’t win. God’s Anointed One died and rose and we have been anointed with that same Spirit (Romans 8:11). Even when we die, Christians win. There is no antichrist that’s ultimately threatening, because Jesus the Christ has risen from the dead and lives in us. See For Yourself

The only redeeming quality for Elon Musk versus other billionaires is that he believes in making way for the next generations versus Gates, Bezos etc who are funding millions into longevity projects.
If you listen to the people actually working on longevity research, none of them say that millennials will be the last generation to die. The most optimistic you get is "the first person who will live to 1,000 has already been born". And they aren't claiming to conquer death; they only hope to conquer aging.
If he actually did live foever as some kind of Fallout-esque ghoul in the eventual climate change wasteland that he and his inlaws and ink helped to usher in, that would actually be a kind of poetic justice.
actually there's nothing delusional about that. with the right technology, immortality is possible. at least an extremely extended life verses our life length currently is. They know more about ageing than ever before. As technology improves, we'll learn much more. Then there's the potential uploading into computers of the time.
I don't want to live forever. Even if I was super rich, I wouldn't want to live forever. Life is a burden, and it will be nice someday to never have obligations again. Just an eternity of relaxation and nothing, just like it was before.
1. Either Jared doesn't believe in an afterlife, or he fears what awaits him in an afterlife, assuming he truly means forever. 2. Literally living forever is impossible due to the universe's increasing entropy, but advances in biology and medical knowledge may make it possible to stay healthy until one eventually gets bored of living (barring fatal accident or murder). 3. It seems optimistic to expect that biomedical advance to be reached during the next few decades, but not impossible because a lot of research into the causes of aging is being done. Repairing DNA, cleaning crud from cells, and defeating diseases does sound like engineering problems, that perhaps nanotechnology (tiny robots) will eventually be able to solve.

jared doesn't have to worry about burying friends. he ain't got any. chances are someone will take that obnoxious turd out a long time before "forever", so there's that. maybe even one of his kids. remember how trump was bragging that barron was already a predator?
yeah, at our age we get so tired of saying goodbye.
These are the MASTERS of the UNIVERSE .
They just cant concive of their own mortality.
Jared Kushner living for ever, like Voldemort!
This reminds me a little of a sci-fi book called “The Risen Empire,” about a man who developed a way to make people rise from the dead and live forever. He ended up the God-king of an interstellar empire where the risen dead are granted special privileges which began to weigh on the empire since mosy of them didn’t actually do any work.
What’s the point in developing this transhumanist technology when we can’t even manage to give people free quality and adequate healthcare?
Emma, I LOVE that you referenced Tuck Everlasting
It’s not that people can now become immortal that scares me, but the thought of this guy still influencing future decisions behind the scenes frustrates me.
What a miserable planet it would be if only ghouls like Jared Kushner lived forever...
The rich will be our final food source.
They rich probably will fund enough to find out and the les fortunate will be left behind
This is how we got the movie Forever Young, many Twilight Zone/Outer Limits shows, Futurama, etc.
It’s going to be the mark of the beast
When money is no object.
We will all live forever! Just depends if it’s Heaven or Hell ! To choose Heaven, you must first choose Jesus!
This man giving such Antichrist vibes bro 😑
The name of Jesus is not in their vocabularies, Jarred, Donald, Vladimir, and 99 percent of the majority of Wealthy individuals, it's a blessing to have Just enough, and give thanks...
if I have to spend eternity with the likes of jared and elon then i happily accept my death.
Jared Kushner, looking at the math and science breakthroughs and his looking at his bank account. He’s thinking he got it.
What a coincidence..
Emma mentioned "Tuck -Everlasting" as reference.
Back in 2012, I subtitled that film from English to Norwegian for Netflix.
Pay was rotten.
But at least it kept my arse alive in Dublin - getting sick of working under paid jobs for Big Tech during day time.
This almost makes me want to play a game of 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon all over again.
Well when you are the real Pinocchio you will think these thoughts.
but Jared didn't solve middle east peace. hows he gonna live forever? i mean on the plus side, he will be hated for generations.
anything that lives forever will inevitably become trapped forever
You are correct 👍
I have been trying to do away with myself since the Napoleonic Wars by following an excessively dissolute lifestyle (unsuccessfully thus far) - and I have trouble paying for public transit...
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂science doesn't give eternal life!
JESUS DOES!
You can't die if you're already dead inside
Vampires do live for hudreds of years.
I’m Soroush an engineer and I’m too narcissist to not want to live forever!
The only redeeming quality for Elon Musk versus other billionaires is that he believes in making way for the next generations versus Gates, Bezos etc who are funding millions into longevity projects.
Not sure who is more crazy. Kushner or these people.
Kushner is not a Christian, or he would know that in Genesis chapter 3 God clearly states that Kushner is not allowed to have the tree of life
If you listen to the people actually working on longevity research, none of them say that millennials will be the last generation to die. The most optimistic you get is "the first person who will live to 1,000 has already been born". And they aren't claiming to conquer death; they only hope to conquer aging.
That's simply not true.
Jealous poor people lol. What’s new?
The first two lies of Satan:
1) You won't die
2} You will be as god(s)
Every child of Satan teaches the same two lies since the beginning.
I Don't Trust These Politicians Very Much Indeed
I saw heaven there is a better place waiting for me!
John 3:16
What!? Slender man is immortal? Dang.
Adrenochrome!
We got him. Someone let QAnon know.
If he actually did live foever as some kind of Fallout-esque ghoul in the eventual climate change wasteland that he and his inlaws and ink helped to usher in, that would actually be a kind of poetic justice.
He’s the Antichrist.
100%
actually there's nothing delusional about that. with the right technology, immortality is possible. at least an extremely extended life verses our life length currently is. They know more about ageing than ever before. As technology improves, we'll learn much more. Then there's the potential uploading into computers of the time.
Eternal life is great for the first hundred years
I don't want to live forever. Even if I was super rich, I wouldn't want to live forever. Life is a burden, and it will be nice someday to never have obligations again. Just an eternity of relaxation and nothing, just like it was before.
All the rich guys think they are going to live forever... on the Moon.
If he thinks he’s going to live forever then why is he helping wreck the world?
Well, wooden puppets don't die. 🤷
Only on the criminal pages of Wikipedia.
I knew he was the undead.
"Either Jared doesn't believe in an afterlife, or he fears what awaits him in an afterlife..." Have you ever met a non-sequitur you didn't fall in love with?
@@aheroictaxidriver3180 : Foolish little troll, an inference isn't non sequitur. People who believe they will go to heaven don't want to live forever.
@@brothermine2292 An inference is a non-sequitur whenever there are many equally valid inferences, genius.
@@aheroictaxidriver3180 : 1. You've acknowledged my inference about Jared is valid.
2. You apparently don't know the definition of "non sequitur": a statement that doesn't logically follow from the previous argument. Inferences are conclusions that do follow using logical reasoning.
@@brothermine2292 I said it's equally valid with many others. You obviously don't possess the capacity for rational thought.
and this guy thought he would resolve the middle east
