"And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified." - St Paul. Most of his evangelism was through miracles and the grace God gave him to live a holy life, even though of course he was smarter than most and debated ppl into submission at times.
Kudos. An interesting argument. You should read/review "Hadji Murat" by Leo Tolstoy. Plus "Death and the Dervish" by Mese Selimovic. Your analysis would be most interesting.
you're lectures are sick man, I'd love to hear your thoughts on intellectuals usually being bitter losers compared to "Notes from the Underground" by Dostoyevsky or Smeagal/Golem from "the Lord of the Rings". Decompressing books from the bible and relating them to philosophers would be pretty cool. For example the ideas of Albert Camus's absurdism reminds me of the teachings about how everything is vanity/vapor/pointless and life doesn't make sense in "Ecclesiastes" and a few other wisdom books. Keep it up!
So you’re saying Christianity is not smart? . Well that’s the most ignorant thing I’ve ever heard. Loads of wisdom to be learned and yet some ppl are so smart they become stupid. My boy Jon, don’t be so smart you become stupid. iykyk
This is a lecture about Rousseau’s writings. I think it’s about that you don’t need to be scholarly to be a good person. I think it’s about that scholarly people are more inclined to be sinful than simple people. Anti-intellectual doesn’t mean not smart.
when he says "intellectual" he's talking about people like Karl Marx and Kant. In a truly Christian mind, an intellectual would be someone like smeagal from "Lord of the Rings" that hides away due to their obsession and becomes a bitter little Golem
Apostle Paul was an intellectual. He did more than most of the apostles. Everyone has their role in the kingdom of God.
God doesn't make us equal in body, but with your own functions.

EVERYONE has a role on society, but not because of an abrahamic santa claus.

You have the comprehension of a work animal.
ironically, while you are trying to argue with something Mr. Bi didn't even say, you are counterproductively making the case all by yourself
Your comment is ironic on more than one level
