OK, following Christ. Protestantism/Catholicism. One is true and original. The other is in rebellion to it. If Catholicism failed then Jesus failed and lied that it would not. The entire platform on which Protestantism sits is faulty and in rebellion to Jesus.
If you don't know much about Catholicism then you cannot make the statement "but I do know that it absolutely does not follow Christ's teachings."

@@cherylmcelveen2817 Religion is a dangerous thing, especially monotheism. Eventually those Christians who feel as though those teachings aren't being followed will enforce those things (they did once before and will do it again). When Islam becomes more favorable in the West, the Wester christians are going to lose their everlastig minds and many will turn back to religion like Christianity.... then we got genocide and death, war and conquest, you know the whole purpose of the Church. Christians are no different than Muslims, the difference between the two is at least Muslims follow their religion. Christians know nothing about their religion.

Excellent overview! The number of denominations is overwhelming. My goal is to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), immerse in the Word and keep Jesus as my focal point, my anchor. As stated in this video, the nuances of *how* we worship is not the focus; it's *Who* we worship. It stands to reason that worship in other parts of the world will be different due to the difference in cultures. The Lord knows our heart; He knows when we hold Him first. I believe those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will not be sinless, but they *can* sin less. Jesus paid the ultimate price to reconcile us to Himself; He is the Way, the Truth and the Life!

@TheBibleStoriesYT Thank you. This provides a great service for Catholics and other Christians wanting to know the differences in a succinct format. It is helpful for teaching people who are seeking guidance. The illustrations are delightful. By the way, Luther didn't actually nail his theses or thesis to a door. That is a metaphor. His documents were already in discussion and dialogue with bishops. They knew what he taught. They accepted some of his corrections. The real reason for separation was political. Germany did not want to be under Rome. The Catholic Church reformed itself with the Catholic Reformation. Catholics also have secondary or non-biblical sources, called Tradition. They also provide extensive guidance and contemporary moral teaching.

    Chinese whispers come to mind.
I came to Christ some 4 months ago. I went to my local village church which is an Orthodox.
Having read the Bible, they are doing things that are going against the Bible, so I left on the 18th Aug.
I've been looking around for a few weeks looking at different churches and their belief.
I look at what they preach and believe and find every church does the same thing?
I'm in my early 60's and came from a Christian family. My family are Jehovah's Witnesses (I was never baptized or one of them)
To me, the Bible is very clear on what is being said yet every place of worship does the same, goes against the Bible, and starts adding their views, ways, and laws.
The Orthodox Church I went to would not baptize me without answering their questions and filling out a form. I asked them where is that written in the Bible. They replied "it's how we do it here"
Oh, I said "why don't we do it Jesus's way and not your way"
I guess now, I will continue reading and studying the Bible alone with prayer and asking God to send the Holy Spirit to show me the way.
Look at the CofE, allowing gay clergy, female clergy, same-sex marriage, and now even dropping the word 'church' and it will just get worse I dare say.
Put your trust in the Lord, not in men.

Overall, prayer is communication with God directly. So prayer should be done at any time during the day no matter what the reason is. Doing these things is enough for your salvation to be genuine.

Imagine a world where we remove the barriers created by the division of Christianity into all the different denominations. Maybe I'll write a song about this. For instance, in a town, could it be refreshing, and more cost effective, to build one building instead of many. Instead of building more buildings, that same money could go toward bettering the society and helping those that need it the most. That body of believers would have 3 things in common. If they love God, they love their neighbor, and they accept Jesus as their savior, that might just be enough to unify them all.

The Catholic Church is not a denomination it is the Church. All others are denominations established by men like Martin Luther John Calvan and others. For 1500 years after Christ the early Church was the Catholic Church. Referencing Dr. Scott Hann Apologist Tim Staples Apologist Dr. Taylor Marshal and many other converts to The Church. After Martin Luther today there are over 42,000 denominations. Church established by Christ one Holy Catholic Church or the breakaway churches established by men?

We do not do them to merit salvation. Perhaps they may earn us crowns to wear and then to cast at Jesus' feet. But our salvation was paid in full when Jesus said "It is finished". The Orthodox Church of Georgia is one of the oldest churches in the world. It asserts apostolic foundation, and that its historical roots can be traced to the early and late Christianization of Iberia and Colchis by Andrew the Apostle in the 1st century AD and by Saint Nino in the 4th century AD, respectively. Russians didn’t even have the alphabet, which was created for them by the Greek missionaries, Cyril and Methodius in the tenth century. Russians occupied Georgia and assumed it’s place in the dyptichs. Before Russian baptism, Many countries became orthodox. Constantine the great was born on the Serbian territory in the three hundreds.Ukrainians assert their connection to Apostle Andrew. Bulgaria, Romania also begin their history to the first century. The immensity of *ignorance* is astonishing: supernal powers are BEDAZZLING the minds of the masses (Ephesians 6:12). As a new ager I couldn't believe (I was *damn sure* I knew better) but in the *Light of Spirit* Jesus really is the *Way, the truth and the Life* just like He said: no one comes to GOD except through Jesus, there's no other way (Matthew 7:13-14). Being a neo-vedantist I wasn't convinced, yet the Bible is Spirit breathed, written by men inspired by the *Holy Spirit.* Jesus is vividly portrayed and endorsed in the new testament, in fact he's apparent in the old testament too (Luke 24:27 & 44) and by *His LIGHT* we're allowed to *see* that and *know Him.* Any intellectual concerns or previously perceived discrepancies/contradictions are ironed out and the supernatural narrative flows most beautifully.....
    The Bible is the Revelation of *Jesus Christ* (Isaiah 2:2-4; 9:6-7, 11:1-10 & 45:23, Daniel 7:13-14, Matthew 28:18, Mark 14:61-62, Revelation 1:7-8 & 18, Rev 19:11-21)

Thank you for your comment! It's interesting to think about the play on words with "denom" and "demon." It's always important to approach these topics with discernment. If you have any specific thoughts or questions about demonization in the Bible, feel free to share! We love hearing from our viewers. 😊

In the Bible, God describes the process by which he cleanses the church, as a smelting as if of metals. He describes heating the metal/church and skimming off the dross with each cycle of heating. The dross is the cleansing of the filth and impurities from the metal, and the refining of the metal. Therefore, each time the Protestant Church bifurcates in an effort to cleanse the dross, it is part of the refining process.
Jesus also warned that ravenous wolves would enter into the church disguised as sheep and would fleece the flock, molest the lambs, and scatter the flock. And that is exactly what has happened!
Up until the 3rd century, the church was made up of Jewish Christians who led in the conversion of Gentiles to the Christian sect of Judaism. But the Roman wolves, dressed as sheep, entered into the Jewish Christian flock, fleece the flock, began to molest the lambs, and scattered the sheep into different denominations.
Each of these denominations struggle to purge themselves of the false teachings of the Roman Church and find their way back to fundamental Christianity which is actually fundamental Torah teaching.
Jesus was a fundamental Torah teacher. He taught the basic principles of God's teachings. He taught in open fields, in homes, in humble synagogues. Jesus did not teach the construction of magnificent cathedrals, grossly ornate churches, or governmental structures like the Vatican where the pope sits on a golden throne. Jesus taught humility. He did not accumulate wealth, but slept outside under the stars in the Garden of Gethsemane. This is quite the opposite of most churches today.

The Catholic Church is not a denomination. Denominations began in the 16th century. The Catholic (universal) Church began in 33 AD

The Orthodox church is weird, I dont know how anyone who reads and believes the bible could think that the Orthodox church is the one true church

The Catholic Church began in the third century with Constantine blending Christian teachings with paganism. Universal is a reference to the Pantheon of gods worshiped in the Catholic Church. The Trinity is not a Christian teaching at all! It was never taught before the 3rd century among Jews or Christians.

You: The Catholic Church began in the third century with Constantine blending Christian teachings with paganism.
Me: I appreciate the fact that you lie as you attack the Catholic Church, That is the same attention that Jesus, himself received from the world and it is appropriate that we should receive the same. It also shows which is the only true religion.

No, there are not. There are 3-4,000 denominations, or variations of a denomination, across the globe.
