difference between SA-6 SR and TR?
I was an Aviation Ordnanceman on the Theodore Roosevelt from 86 to 90. I went to several schools for air launched weapons, the Shrike being one of them. A month later we offloaded every single one for the new HARMs arriving to the fleet in large numbers. Lol never once did I get to work on a Shrike. I had a head full of information I would never use. I did learn a lot about anti radiation weapons in general I suppose.
I like the fact the tutorial is 3-5 minutes. Short and to the pint. Leave the documentary about development and the history to other videos.
I know exactly who you are talking about and it shits me, tricker dcs has really great shorts for cold starting everything

It looks so easy but my shrikes dont track at all. Only 2 of 40 😂🙈 right seeker, good range and still they dont track.
I have the same problem. Their engines seem to burn out practically seconds off the rail, and they just plow into the ground. I'm set to direct and ARM, I've checked the seekers against the SAM site on which I'm launching, I'm in A/G, and they have solid (screaming) tone before launch. No idea what's wrong.

I can't get them to work, they just don't track, and I'm using the right seeker. Is there a known bug that would prevent me from being able to use them?

Mk25 can be possible you dont get a tone. But it will track.
So what if i don't know what exectly the sam type i'm gonna shoot, which seaker should i get and what about those frequencies, god... a4e shrikes were easier

The shrike doesnt work on newer SAM site right? Like SA-10, TORs, Patriot and such?

Only problems with the shrike is its about as accurate as throwing a dart at a board 100 yards away.
It’s still quite buggy at the moment I think ED will do some corrections for it in an upcoming update

SA-8 Tracking radar is J Band in frequency, two of the missile would never see the target tracking radar, only the search radar. The warhead is plenty to destroy the target, that is ridiculous comment about the warhead effectiveness. The warhead is the size of HARM's.

hhhhmmmm.... is there a one for one table RF Guidance Unit vs DCS Radar Threat?
it can only go for stuff like SA-2s (Fansong), SA-3s,(Low Blow) and SA-6s (Straight Flush) As well as the P-15 search radar (Flat Face) . all of these names are specified. Im not sure if the P35 is in the game. You can also look up a specific radar and see which frequency band it goes off , Like the SA-5 Tin shield radar which goes off an E/F band
