For the life of me, I will never understand why the F-4 is often described as ugly. I don’t get it at all. The long nose, upturned wings and the tail extending past the jet nozzles of those coal fire J-79’s belching black smoke like a locomotive…man, it’s a sexy jet and - even better - it LOOKS like it was made to kill things (and is pretty good at it )
