Thank you all who have supported and told us to be brace if you were wondering I am the kid running out of the hospital with the cape on! I'm amazed at what a song could do to a person this impacted my life and many others. The nurses and doctors put a lot of work into this and Natalie Snyder put this together and I'm so lucky to have such amazing friends, family, nurses, doctors and supporters I am now almost 3 years cancer free and I'm so thankful for every day I get to wake up and live a normal life thanks so much~ Richie
To all that are reading this, my name is Richard Lange. I am the little boy running out of the hospital with the cape on. I have come here to say how wonderful it is to see this video touch the hearts of many people around the world. The amount of love that these doctors and nurses have for these kids is like nothing I have seen before. Whoever needs to hear this, listen up. You are strong. You are brave. You can do anything you put your mind to. Keep smiling. Keep laughing. You're going to be ok. I am here for you.
I used to think this was just about the kids, their bravery, and what they have to go through, but I realized recently that it has a message for us parents, too. The chorus is a call to action, an insistence that we can speak up, we can advocate for our children, we can ask for help, we can let others know when we’re losing the battle and need the support of other parents who know what we’re going through. Parents have to be brave, too, and acknowledge our fears and our needs.
I just had a surgery that almost killed me, literally, I now have a massive scar on my stomach where they cut me open, seeing that little girl show her battle scars gives me courage, I'm 36 and that little girl can't be older than 8 and she probably has more resilience than me, I have at least one more surgey to go through and that little girl is my strength for this surgery, I don't know who she is, I wish I did so I could thank her for giving me the courage and strength to go through with this, if she, or anyone who knows who she is sees this message, tell her thank you for being my inspiration and strength, god bless you.
This video gives me goosebumps (or brings me to tears) every single time. When I was going through A&P and other rough classes to become an RN, I kept watching this over and over and thinking THIS is what I'm doing it for--these kids who are braver than anyone can even imagine!
My nephew had a BMT at the U of M in 2009 for neuroblastoma, thanks to you guys he's still here with us! Thanks for sharing this inspiring video for all the kids out there battling cancer.
My grandpa (I called him pop) died of cancer. And my only other grandpa (I called him grandpa bob) served the army survived that, but then died of a heart attack
Made me cry! I love this! Reminds me of my cousin's little guy, he doesn;t have cancer but he does have a rare condition and at 3 months he has endured more pain then I can ever know, He shows us his brave every day. He smiled the other day for the first time and they didn't expect him to do so for another month or two, Only God knows the strength of this little man, hes an amazing
Thank you to everyone who helps these beautiful children fight for their lives. My own son is currently battling leukemia, and I watch him fight every day. And every day since his diagnosis has become more precious.
this was aboslutely beautiful. Tears are coming down my eyes. I dont cry often but this truly inspiring video got me going. God bless those kids and god bless the wonderful nurses and doctors who devote your time and care to making these kids have the best life they can while in this tragic circumstance. Thank you
God bless all the children struggling with their illnesses. God bless all the Doctors, Nurses, and all Employees that go above and beyond to help them. You are all BRAVE!!!!
Remembering the time when my son was at these hospitals after he was hit by a car. Despite my efforts to buy the brightest red winter jacket I could for him to be seen on those busy streets, it just didn't work. No-one's fault, and I still feel so bad for the driver. I prayed for her. I still worry about her, and what she had to go through. Drove all night to get to his side, and he was in very good hands. For weeks and after 2 surgeries we spent our time here. He just turned 21 a few months earlier. Everyone was so friendly. I was from out of state, and I had no where to stay. Each time we were transferred to a different hospital to stay after a surgery, I would always hold my breath and wonder where I was going to spend the night. I knew I was at the mercy of strangers. Ronald Mcdonald house was full and he was 4 months too old for me to stay there, and the 80.00/night reduced rate at the hotel was out of question. The staff worked so hard for me to stay with my son by his bed. (Pure saints.) I remember, washing my clothes in the sink and hanging them out to dry on the park bench next to Fairview rehab, I thought to myself, if my grandmother could wash her clothes in the sink and hang them out to dry in the cold, so could I, and I did. I did that until we could get back to the rehab center and use the washing machine. Brushed my teeth in public restrooms. Motherhood never lets embarrassment become a roadblock. Seeing the hospital and all the surrounding areas just makes me cry again. But, he is alive, and that is all that matters. And he graduated on time!
Amazing Floor 5 Staff, we love you all and thanks from the bottom of my heart for the best in the world care for Richie and all of the bravest kids!!!!
87 People don't know what it's like to go through stuff like this, I lost my father in the Spring of '93, his nurses were amazing and made the time we spent in the hospital a much better experience. This is a great video, I am proud of my sister and cousin who are both nurses!
Having lost a son to Leukemia, I had some moments in this video, so I watched it again. That's what we do. Thank you to all of the Doctors and the Oncology nurses that make it their job to erase the sadness around this disease. Wonderful video.
My son and I were treated with the most compassionate care here. It was one of the more challenging times in our lives, and we found out that the angels disguised as humans work in minneapolis.
As the Father of A cancer survivor (retinoblastoma), I just want to thank you for this...If not for the hope that nurses and doctors give our kids, well...thank you. For all that you do. Thank you.
This video always brings tears to my eyes. But such Hope ,strength and determination by both patients and staff. And all the kids keep on smiling. Sending lots of love to you all Cancer Survivor xx
My heart hurts that we live in a world where children have to deal with sickness & disease, but the hurt is lessened knowing that there are so many wonderful people out there that love and support these kids. The staff in this video are a class act and the kids are the very definition of brave!
I greatly appreciate this video. In the face of cancer, which tears apart lives and families, the people in this hospital have built a community filled with love and humanity. They have found a way to smile and dance when it just doesn't seem possible. Thank you to everyone who makes this possible... not just at MMCH, but everywhere around the world. You are making a difference.
OMG I can't stop crying!!!!! God Bless you all. But most of all , you all are the most bravest people in the world!!! Nurses aren't recognized enough for what they do on a daily basis!! Best video I have ever seen - great song Sara and the nurses did a wonderful job - you are all in my prayers! My favorite part was when the kid ran out of the hospital with the cape - I'm still crying. My mom died of ovarian cancer so I know how brave everyone needs to be!! Beautiful - Bravo! Be Brave!!!!
Only tears can express what I've just felt. It's awesome how people can make patients stronger and unbelievable that in such easy way they can give them happiness, smile and confidence.
I am a student hoping to become a doctor. So many times over this grueling process I have been worn down and have become lax. This video has rekindled the fire and given me back the clarity about why I wanted to be a healer in the first place. If I can bring just one smile to a child who is suffering or an ounce of hope to their families I know I will have accomplished something huge. To those people in this video I want to express my gratitude and appreciation for this and for everything you do
Every time I see one of these videos my faith in humanity is restored. Despite the hardships in life, how can you not believe in a beautiful world when wonderful people like this get together and give the sick little ones a fun time like this while inspiring millions on the web? Bravo.
Outstanding ! Thank You Doctors and all the nurses and staff for everything you do. We must never forget to love , laugh and live and to sometimes cry. Big hug to all the children and stay brave.
It's alway amazing to see the IMPACT of what a moment of JOY can generate. Hat's off to the nurses who made this video and birthed just that. I am truly moved and blessed from watching it. I pray it will continue to touch the hearts of children and families who are going through the storm. May you find comfort from this video.
If this doesn't bring a tear to your eye, and a sense of pride in these kids and this staff, then you truly have no heart or conscience. This is an amazing effort for some very wonderful and BRAVE kids. I am very inspired and touched. Thanks!!!!!!!!!
Dear Nurses at U of M Children's: thank you for showing the courage of your patients and size of your hearts to do what you do. I lost my daughter to AML so you know what that looks like and the Nurses and Doc's are truly the angels on earth. Thank you for "honoring the taken" along with the fighters and the healed. How you do what you do and keep your hearts so open and loving is something amazing to take away from an awful situation. I don't believe in God, but if there is one may he shower you and all your patients with grace and love. Thank you
My heart soars seeing this but the tears are on...I have been fortunate to know many many children fighting cancer including my daughter and what they endure but still smile and laugh is mind boggling to say the least...Amazing Staff and Parents too...My daughter's research is at this University. ..under baby JR..Dr . Nurses and staff and patients, YOU ROCK! Keep up the awesome work with these precious kids. My daughter was in and out of Egleston Children's Hospital for 10 years. She is a healthy 18 year old today! Makes all As, drives her own car!!! Praying for all health staff everywhere!
Thank you for giving me the strength I need to keep fighting. These kids are my inspiration. If they can still see the beauty in this universe with all they have had to battle, then I have no excuses. They are my hero's.
This is my new favourite video on youtube. So amazing.... this is why I am going to be a pediatric nurse, sure nurses are needed all over and it's sad to see kids that are sick, but this shows how positive they can be, even when stuck in a hospital. They have amazing spirits and they brighten your day. Sure they are sometimes very sick, but it's our job to help them bounce back to this again. LOVE this video!!
My 2-year-old daughter was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on 9/16/13. She is being treated at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. It has been rough. But because of people like this, I have been able to hold onto hope. Thank you for what you do for our children.
My wife has been struggling with cervical cancer, which was diagnosed in 2014 but was there for at least 3 years prior to that. It was 2b, now it is 3b and pushing against her bladder. Thank you for this wonderful video!
Wonderful job! Bless everyone involved. These little angels look like they have great nurses. Made my day, also made me cry too. I'm a nurse and wish I could make feel better. Thanks for making and sharing these beautiful angels with the rest of us. Hope each of them heals as quickly as possible.
Gets me every time I watch it!! Karly has come so far since this video!!! So glad she beat cancer. Still praying for all the others who have cancer! These kids and young adults are so much stronger than all of us!!
Tears still flowing. What an amazing video. God bless the staff that cares for the children on a daily basis and prayers to the families and the children that are so Brave!
I laughed... I cried... my heart is filled with JOY. I am INSPIRED by ALL of you. THANK-YOU for the incredible, patient and loving work you do, and for this wonderful video. You are all BRAVE warriors in the pursuit of "survival." I love you. May God BLESS you ALWAYS.....
Watching this video made me stop and think about the emotional pain that these doctors and nurses go through while helping the children that might not survive. Your kindness and bravery helps make this world a better place to live in, especially for these children. Good job you guys! Minnesota pride!
People as me everyday, "How can you work with sick kids everyday?" All I have to do is show them this video. I love working at Amplatz! The staff, families, and the most important the patients are why I love my job as much as I do. Great job Unit 5! This is an amazing video and so inspiring.
I saw this video for the first time just one day after my Dad was operated on because of cancer and I cried so hard, even though I was at work. And now, 3 weeks after, my Dad feels much better, and I still watch the video and sing this song to myself - all of you, guys, give me so much strenght and hope! HLN TV - thank you forconnecting Sarah and the girls from the Hospital, that was a great surprise. Greetings from Poland!
I'm recovering from knee surgery and having a hard time building my muscle back up and I was starting to give up. And then I watched this video and realized if that little boy is an amputee... I can do anything if he can and possibly more. So I have nothing to be down about. They are all brave and this video made me cry like a baby. God bless all of these kids and nurses.
Being a parent of 4, I love my kids with all my heart, seeing things literally brought tears to my eyes, these babies are dealt an unfair hand in life yet the FIGHT! God bless them, the staff of the hospital and the parents involved in this, I'm going to hug my children more often from now on because of this video.
Wonderful video!!! I so admire the doctors and nurses working with children with critical illnesses. They model such confidence and strength, hope and cheer. And I know their hearts break when they go home. Thanks for all you guys do for our little ones!
This video brought on a few tears. I'm three years past a diagnosis of 'T' Cell Lymphoma. I'm in CA and have a great team of Dr.s. To see those kids pushing through Chemo' and Radiation is hard to take; yet the are all smiles and strong. Thanks to all the production team on this video, you're all Angels.
this truthfully touched my heart.. sometimes we forget that there are people out there who are struggling. We need to understand how fortunate we are. God bless those kids an nurses .. this totally made me cry '=(

I always think of this video every time the song comes on the radio! To the 195 people who 'disliked' it, for what reason? I can't wrap my head around that- these kids and nurses are tremendous in what they do and in how big their hearts are. LOVE the video, stay brave!
Love this hospital, they are so great with kids, my son has been there a handful of times since he was a little baby and he loves it, no tears, just smiles. I love seeing how much these nurses put in to making kids smile :-)

My nephew was a patient in this hospital and I have been in it. He was a Unit 3 patient Nd many of the nurses in this video were his care providers. They are a great team of staff and excelent at what they do. Bring hope to every child that comes through there and keep up the amazing work.
As somebody who is touched by cancer on a personal basis as well as losing many family and friends, I just want to thank you for this amazing video. It is awesome. I will be brave!
Healthcare personnel like you are my inspiration. Patient's will to live and succeed like these are what keeps me Pre-Med. This is the first time I'm actually seeing the video after watching several clips of it featured in Sara's performances, and interviews. This gives me so much love and inspiration pouring out of the video and in turn inspires me to be loving and inspiring and brave in my life and to others as well... Thank you so much for this! So wonderful!!!
these nurses showed their love, care and dedication to their patients by celebrating how truly brave they are. Great job with an equally beautigul song..
This is great. Loving every second of it. To the children: Stay brave, stay as awesome as you are and never give up hope. To the staff: Thank you, you great good wonders. You all are amazing, wonderful, caring human beings. Hugs to everyone, from someone in Belgium.

WHEN that girl whips off her wig at 1:50, that's pretty much when I lost it. Brava, brava.
I can't stop crying looking at those fighters. I donate blood because I know you need it. Stay strong, be brave, keep fighting and never ever give up.

Very sweet video. Makes you realize how good you've got it, how courageous these young people are, and appreciate the caregivers for what they do.

This video brought on a few tears. I'm three years past a diagnosis of 'T' Cell Lymphoma. I'm in CA and have a great team of Dr.s.
