because.. i guess it depends. if you want convenient and perfect all round.. then get the e63. if you want exotic, but with flaws, get the FF. the "daily" aspect depends on your tolerance for depreciation due to mileage, and for the difficulty in making a 6.2 NA V12 and a twin-clutch behave in stop and go traffic.
911 targa 4s/gts? Open top, all wheel drive, some space at the back, fast and... nimble ;)

Adam Dutton I have in fact, it was a blue one with the typical Audi driver behind the wheel, he floored it past me on a dual carriage way and it was far from impressive
If I remember correctly, he drove it at car launch and he said it is a bit boring.

It's a great car but I don't think it would be easy to find Alfa dealerships in all the countries he'll visit.

E-class is by far the most interesting Mercedes out there. Wagons are the best!
As the very happy owner of a built-to-spec 2020 E63S, they’re amazing cars. It’s super comfortable when you want it to be (with the standard massage seats, not that piece of fake leather covered plastic masquerading as a car seat), it’s a lot of fun and a bad-ass to drive, and it’s got some amazing safety features, some of which come straight out of a freaking top of the line S-class. It’s nuts. And for 600 hp, 25 mpg hwy is comparable to my 28 mpg/345 hp Chrysler 300C with AWD, a car I loved. And no, I didn’t “teenager” my car. No stupid night package with carbon fibre everywhere, like it’s a schizophrenic American-style muscle car. You get a German luxury car to be a German luxury car. You don’t get it to make your chiropractor and massage therapist rich sitting in thin plastic seats covered in leather so you don’t feel totally ripped off. It’s like that George Carlin joke about visors. Either get a hat or don’t. Don’t half ass it.
TT RS: noise, style, looks, performance, all-weather capability, decently practical, not to big so you can park the whole car in the same county, and it's hella fast
Sam, STG is excellent. I only found it because of the 4C but have looked at many of your fellow RUclipsrs since and they serve to underline just how good STG is. As an unashamed Alfisti I may be biased but for me your next car is a simple choice and I cannot fathom why you haven't had a Giulia Quadrifoglio already. Having driven one the driving experience is as close as you can get to a four door Ferrari and you already know just how good it is so a return to Stag's original roots is my recommendation. By far the most sporty and practical family estate you can ask for. Splish and splash effect.
Infotainment setup and button layout aside, I honestly think this is your best option for such a trip. Its extremely functional and full of room, its powerful, fast, and sporty, and it looks/sounds great! I picked the E63S wagon from the start, and I stand by it. Interested to see what competition you test out though!

Sam, I know you enjoy a wagon as well as a unique car. Thus, have you checked out the *E60/ E61 M5 Touring? It's a V10* wagon! for only approximately '25k'.

Videos with tony are so fun
The silver seatbelts are a great touch. I still don't like the swoopy underside part of the dash, it has an old man feel vibe to it, so perfect for Tony ;) Oh and don't be sensible, no good stories have ever come from someone who was sensible.

I would take an all black C63 AMG all day everyday. the shape is slightly more appealing. Can't wait to see the next one
You should check out either the previous or current gen RS4 and consider a 1 year old C63 AMG Wagon since it's just a smaller E63 wagon but with just rear wheel drive.
For cross country trip with unknown road quality & driving conditions, he'd be better off with AWD. Not only they are more usefull, they are also safer and better at distributing tire wear. For driving on tarmac, Audi's Quattro system is the king.

Stelvio Q, GLC63s. If you travel around the world you need ground clearance.
The E63 has a 9 speed.
I think you should try looking at a C7 Corvette, preferably the Z06 or a Grandsport. I know they're kind of difficult to find in Europe, but they have lots of storage space and would make for a great GT car.

The the reason that you can’t see the driving dynamics selects buttons is because Mercedes don’t bother switching them over for right hand drive models. On a left hand drive model you would have those buttons clearly in soft and then the radio controls would be on the passenger side but for right hand drive models it’s the other way round/the wrong way round. We have the same problem with our c class and I really think merc should have made the effort to switch them

I know youd said in the last video that you are thinking about a state, suv or gt, but a coupe would be also a great choice. E53, C63,M6, M4, RS5... You would have the space, comfort, performance...

It’s in the name and you won’t have to stop people talking to hear its exhaust note.
If you want to form a bond with the car do the trip in something a bit older with a few quirks. Would be way cooler/ safer than floating around in a 100k car.

I still don't get why you need a wagon if you are considering GT cars as well. Try a saloon its got more than enough space for 2 people. Try the new M5. It is like the merc, but has better infotainment, easier controls and RWD can be on at all speed.
